Not for me or my macs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Researched brands (was a little concern about customer support being available from reviews on various websites). Purchased it. Rec'd in mail. Immediately started trying to use it. Manual backups could be done with Drag and Drop (great) but not compatible with time machine ... it was strange. Mac recognized it and my other backup drive that I temporarily disconnected. The other issue was manual is nice with D&D but not when you have a lot to move. Couldn't set it up to automatically backup specific folders. Within about 30 mins. of trying to use it on two different Macs, gave up and sent it back. I attempted to contact Seagate and that was useless. Without support and being a mid-range computer pseudo geek, it went back to the store. Trying another (I have to find one first) and have no problem spending extra bucks for something that works.
