Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the gameplay, story, action sequences, and controls of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. However, some players find the game's difficulty challenging, citing a steep learning curve and demanding boss fights as potential drawbacks. A few also mentioned frame rate inconsistencies. Overall, the positive feedback on the core gameplay mechanics outweighs the concerns regarding difficulty.

It's a great game that, while it can be frustrating, becomes very rewarding as you master the style and moves of the character. The world is filled with places to explore, and the game keeps you interested in what's around the next corner.

Sekiro sticks to the Souls/Borne formula, but also stands alone as it's own. The AI is superb, and the battles are as fluid as ever. Definitely recommend for people who enjoy a good challenge, and also like old Japanese culture. It's a 10/10 for me.

Simply put, this is an excellent game. No other adventure style game touches Senior. The deflecting, bosses, terrain and lore are all incredible. It’s not an easy game, but is incredibly rewarding to advance throughout the game because of it.

Being made by FromSoftware, the comparisons to Dark Souls and Bloodborne were obvious. Though Sekiro does draw a lot of inspiration from those titles, it's an amazing game in its own right. This game is all about parrying and countering. Many enemies require you to break their posture before you can defeat them and mastering that is key. The world isn't as open as the Souls games but it's filled with many twisting paths and shortcuts like them. Being a FromSoftware game, it's challenging so if you're looking to breeze through a game, this ain't it. Sekiro is an amazing title for any fans of ninja based games but it's definitely not for the weak at heart.

I picked this up on Black Friday. Like other Soulsborne games, this game is very challenging but success and progress feel very rewarding. Would definitely recommend if you enjoy FromSoftware's other games.

If you were a fan of the Tenchu series and or the Soul series this game is for you. I find it challenging but a little easier than the soul series of games but that is a specific opinion of mine. The game is gorgeous and controls are precise.

Christmas gift for my grown son. He said this was the game of the year and after watching him play it...I can see why. Very challenging game. This will take him more than a few days to complete, which translates to a good value.

A masterpiece of action adventure stealthy grapple hook mythical gameplay. Immensely challenging but not as difficult as some might lead you to believe. Easily in the top 10 of all PS4 games.

If you belong to the cult of "Git Gud" this game is right up your alley. The game had me put down the controller a few times and come back later it got so frustrating. This game does reward stealth and thinking outside the box though.

I love the setting and graphics. It is very hard until you get the moves down but it starts to click with patience and practice. If you've had trouble with games in the Dark Souls series or Bloodborne you may want to sit this one out.

Game is brutal from the beginning but a dark souls/ninja themed game makes it worth it in the end. Controls take a little getting use to as well as the boss’ movements but don’t get thrown off by that, this game has a lot to offer

This game rewards the player with difficult challenges that are overcome through practice. It is very gratifying to face a challenge you think is impossible and with a little effort have an epic battle that you win.

For an old school Tenchu fan like me, this is the game I was waiting for. For veteran SoulsBorn fans, it might take time to learn the new combat system, but once you master it, you will feel like a god. You can pause, you can swim, you can jump, and while you have more freedom of exploration and movement than ever, the combat's steep learning curve can really punish you early in the game.- The progression is cruel, but fair and extremely satisfying. It is admittedly a hard game, but if you stick with it, you will love it

This game is a souls game. But it’s different enough to set itself apart from the rest of the series. Don’t buy this unless you like brutally difficult games. New additions like stealth and vertical traversal are really cool.

Insanely difficult, just like all of the games from this developer. I feel like the difficulty can turn some people away, but to me it keeps me trying and trying until I can get past that boss.
