Typical RPG.. and I don't mean rocket propelled grenade, though it should be because this is the bomb. This game is what you would expect using a legacy character like donkey kong. Okay game play overall. But don't take it from me, I'm just a novice...

At first it seemed like a fun game but after playing it for more then I month I hate it it's to boring nothing like MARIO 3-d world that one is such a better game

DKC: Tropical Freeze is a seriously underrated gem of the Wii U's library. Yes, the overall reception to it was positive, but I feel it deserves more recognition then it's received. A lot of people seem to write it off as just another Donkey Kong game or just another 2D platformer, but I think that it is easily the best game to ever star the loveable ape. Tropical Freeze is freed from the awkward motion controls of it's predecessor, Returns, while featuring even better level design. I honestly think that this game has some of the best level design I've ever seen in a 2D platromer, and being able to play as 4 different Kong's this time around adds an extra layer of depth to the gameplay. All in all, this an amazing game and a masterclass in 2D platformer design that I'd recommend to anyone with a Wii U.

I haven't played donkey Kong since I was a kid, it's a fun game the buttons can become confusing and the way the characters move around can be a little frustrating.

This is such a great game. I am glad Nintendo re-released it so that I could buy it and play it!

With a young kid, the game has a harder learning curve than the other Nintendo masterpieces(Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8). We purchased this mainly because it is a Donkey game and it was under $20 with GCU discount. Overall, worth the money spent, but I would recommend the Mario games over this one for younger kids, or if you only want a few games.

Donkey Kong games are always difficult but the reward is well worth it.

I didn't think much about this game prior to purchasing. But I had some rewards certificates to spend and it looked fun. I have to say this is one of the best Donkey Kong games so far. Graphics are good and gameplay difficulty is just right for me and my kids. We are not bigtime gamers and we love this game.

I love playing Donkey King Country Tropical Freeze. It's full of good finds & awesome graphics. I love games where you collect coins so you can purchase items, or get stars to unveil hidden doors & treasures.

First off I love donkey kong, since the Super Nintendo days. This game is so much fun and pretty challenging. I've spent countless hours trying to beat each level at 100%. This is a must have game

DK Tropical Freeze is a very challenging, rewarding game. If you're a fan of the Donkey Kong Country series then you will most likely enjoy this offering. Graphics are gameplay are top-notch. Great, challenging fun.

Great game and love that they stayed true to 2.5D platforming. Excellent pick-up if you enjoyed the other 2d Donkey Kong games.

I loved playing Donky kong for years. Great that another game came out so i can enjoy the breaking and smashing.

This Was A Unusual Game For my Daughter,It took some getting used to.When She Did Oh Boy She Had a Blast!

Actually challenging and also a really pretty game. At the price it is, it's definitely worth getting.

This was a lot of fun for both my kids and I. I loved playing the old games with a new twist and the kids also had a blast. For $20 this is a good value.
