There is a functional time and place for this feature. Do note...that it's light output is just that of an old 60W bulb. I think they make one with '100W' rating. Works as advertised.

Great smart Bulb!

All you have to do give a voice command to turn it on and off without getting up from your place. Loving this bulb and will definitely buy it again if I needed it again.
