Cool concept but doesn’t last long

I got a couple of these lights for free when I purchased some echos for Christmas and it appears that the lifespan isn’t too great when using them in lamps. The lights would be unresponsive much more often than responsive. When this happens you have to screw the bulb into a reciprocal that is operated by a light switch (like a bathroom or kidcbdn light) flip the switch off and on 5 times in order to reset it. Then when putting it back in the lamp it goes out without warning again. This has happened to two of my light bulbs so perhaps I’d try a different brand the next time.

Great light, easy install

Immediately synced with Alexa and has worked flawlessly. Much less of a hassle than other light bulbs and you don't need a hub with this one.

Amazing lights!

Alexa gets confused sometimes with what room I'm in, but it's definitely an Echo problem, not the lights. Love how I can customize the brightness and hues.

Glad I didn’t pay for it

This one came free with a new Echo Dot purchase and all I can say is I’m glad I didn’t pay for it. It was the least intuitive of any smart bulb I own to setup. Once I figured out that it didn’t require an app like the others, I thought that was a good thing. But when I started having trouble with it I quickly came to realize that not having an app to troubleshoot it wasn’t so great. This bulb was (emphasis on WAS) in a lamp 5 feet away from my Alexa device and 15 feet away from my Wi-Fi router yet it continually had network connectivity issues. I finally replaced it with another brand smart bulb which is working perfectly.
