Failed Alexa app connection

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Was unable to connect this device to Alexa after an hour and a half effort. (And yes I have successfully linked other branded plugs and bulbs.) Alexa did detect the device but failed to add it. I did create and link a Sengled account but was still unsuccessful. Fortunately this does work as a dumb LED bulb so I'll just go with that. Will try to link again after a period of time, say after a major software update.

Best smart LED lights

It took less than a minute to set up. All you do is plug it into any light source and Alexa does the rest. We have 4 and love them

Would Not Buy Again

When it does, the bulb is acquired by Alexa and can be named, set to GROUPS and enabled in ROUTINES. That said, the lamp as paired with a close-by ECHO DOT3 drops offline. In five days, nine times. The frustration trying to re-pair caused me to prepare for return to the store and bought online, a wi-fi bulb set that connected easily to my network, uses the Gosund App to link easily with Alexa App on phone. Flawless for a week now, routines included.
