I bought this to set up scheduling for my porch & one of my lamps in my master bedroom. The idea that you can turn on your light via smart phone (after set up) is what I was aiming for. My issue is it tends to go offline a lot so it’s not working as described. I tried to reset it the bulb that kept going offline however it kept going out. Only contact is email and that’s an issue since you need to wait for their response and it really isn’t helpful.

Has the feature to bright or dim the lights off the phone. It works great with the Google Home. I would definitely buy additional light bulbs now that I have a Hub,

Time saver for sure!!! Pair this with my echo dot and it’s been such a time saver from getting up! I just have to tell Alexa to turn the light off!!

Application is a little outdated and wish it offered more features. Pairs well with google home. Lights tend to flicker sometimes due to dimming capabilities.

The bulbs works great with Alexa, they are not quite as bright as I would have hoped, would search for higher wattage and whiter bulbs next time, these have yellow hue

they work good with Alexa and i love how i can control them from my phone. When my kids are scared of the dark i can always turn the light off from my phone

Needed better light options for home when I am not around than timers. These work great, daily schedules, light levels. Set up took 15 mins total

I wanted to set up smart lighting in my apartment and this product works well. Idid have some problem setting up this system but finally got it working.

The smart led bulbs were easily installed in 10 minutes. Functionality and price are terrific. I recommend these bulbs to start smart lighting.

This Sengled product is a three-pack of Smart LED light bulbs that comes with a hub which serves as the bulb controller. The bulbs look, feel, and weight (if not a little less) pretty much identically to some dumb LED bulbs on the market today. So, they look ok, unobtrusive, and can replace existing bulbs adding wifi control while being "stealth". The hub is a pretty small affair. Initial setup is to plug in power then connect it via ethernet to your router. From there, you perform a really quick setup via the app and then are good to go. After the initial ethernet setup, the hub gets your home wifi credentials from the phone app, and can then be untethered (from your router at least) running on your wifi. The app is slick and easy to use. A simple button can turn on/off all the lights and you can control scenes (room assignment for bulbs) individually. Furthermore, you get pretty simple dim control over each individual bulb with the app, though in practice the resolution is less than the slider which goes from 0 to 100 in 1% increments will have you believe. Aside from the ON/OFF and dimmer, you can setup time periods for each scene to have lights automatically turn on/off at preset times of day. You can also have this run every day or on specific days - essentially the level of control you'd have in any typical alarm clock app. The three bulbs in the pack are pre-paired to the hub, but it appears adding more bulbs is relatively straightforward. The hub/app doesn't directly support control from outside your home network. However, you can gain that via Google Home/ Google Assistant or Alexa integration. I tried out the Google Assistant approach and while you need to set up independent "rooms" for each bulb, voice control over the bulbs was pretty quick and worked well. This then gives me the ability to control the bulbs away from home. I actually found the lights responded faster than the voice confirmation from the google assistant. One concern I have is with future proofing of smart home devices - specifically what could happen should a given company go out of business. I'm not 100% sure, but based on the packaging, it would appear that communication to the hub is via zigbee (as opposed to some proprietary radio scheme). Having third party smart home control over the lights is also nice, though it's via connection to your Sengled account which means you're tied a bit to the ongoing viability of Sengled itself. All that said, this is a well executed design, works flawlessly, and I'm pretty happy with these bulbs.

Works well once you get it set up. However, getting it set to work with Amazon alexa ment I had to download three different apps for it to work.

The Sengled Smart LED Starter Kit includes three soft-white bulbs and a hub, using ZigBee to control the bulbs. These are not WiFi bulbs, the hub is required to control them, much like the Philips Hue system. The bulbs are pre-paired to the hub to make the initial installation simpler. In my case, the installation was not simple. My home network is a mesh network (Google WiFi) which seriously confused the (Android) app. Turns out that Sengled is switching to a newer Android app, so make ABSOLUTELY SURE you get "Sengled Home", not the Sengled "Element Home" referenced in the instructions! This is their newer app that is under active development. Fortunately, Sengled Tech Support was very responsive and after a couple of back and forths, they pointed me in the right direction. Once the initial problem with the app was resolved, it was very simple to set up the system. Plug the hub into an Ethernet port, fire up the app, then turn on the lights. . Download the app to your phone, follow the simple instructions, and you're up and running. Although the hub does require an Ethernet (wired) connection for the initial setup, it can be disconnected and used over your WiFi after that. This is important because it allows you to extend the control range. One hub can theoretically control up to 50 devices; however, I found that the ZigBee wireless range limited control to one or two rooms. A distance of 50-75 ft became a challenge for consistent control. Fortunately, you can use multiple hubs with the app. The bulbs themselves provided bright, consistent lighting. They are fixed color, warm white, there is no way to change the color. The app tracks energy usage, which may prove useful to some. Voice commands with both Alexa and Google Home worked well. Pros: * The price of the kit is little more than the cost of the bulbs alone and additional bulbs are not much more than standard LED lightbulbs. * Simple installation with the new app. * Sengled seems to be developing a whole line of home automation products that are controlled by the app. * The app is under active development, with new features being added. The latest update added scenes, daily scheduling, editable schedules, and color controls, although the included bulbs are fixed warm white color. * Tech support is very responsive and helpful. Cons: * Hub seems to have a somewhat limited wireless (ZigBee) range. This limits the area it can control. * Setup requires an Ethernet port. It would be nice if setup could be done wirelessly.
