Receiving these with the Echo deal I never realized what I was missing. Being able to use the app or Alexa gives options on how it is controlled. I like that I can set routines, light levels, create groups as well as see statuses. The soft white light is enjoyable in the evening and look forward to adding more in the future.

So this is my first venture into the smart home stuff and I have to say it’s awesome! Voice commands to check weather, morning alarm turns on specific lights and gives weather updates, Alexa does match and all kinds of cool stuff. I have since installed these in almost all the rooms in the house and exterior. Very affordable.

Great easy cheap way to start a smart home product

This is a GREAT first step towards automating your home lights, or office or whatever. its very affordable ( these 3 led bulbs and the hub are cheaper than 2 decent power saving bulbs). the App is very straight forward, on, off, dim lights to anywhere between 0 to 100. you can also separate and group lamps in scenes or rooms, with scheduling for on and off. if you are living with a family like mine who do not seem to care for electricity cost or too lazy to turn off lights when they leave the house or when they go to sleep and want an affordable solution, then this is for you. I also own Philips Hue hub and 15+ bulbs for different rooms in the house and I can say that Hue is more advanced but they both do the same job (almost) and this one beats Phillips in terms of price. I installed mine in the bathroom, and will see how long they last in comparison to Hue. setting it up took less than 5 minutes including the firmware update the Hub asked for. you can also hook them to Google assistant and Amazon Alexa (we have both) its also very easy and somewhat functional. I am happy with these bulbs and I will be adding more to the hub soon since they are cheaper than Hue.

Never thought i would be the one to be able to control so many things on my home the smartphone apps let me say these balls are great and work flawlessly and set up only took me about 5 minutes and they are great especially when I'm away on vacation I can control my lights from my smartphone app highly recommend them

I can control my lights anywhere anytime with phone

These bulbs are very easy to set up and seem to be very responsive. The dimmer works really well and dims the bulbs subtly, so much so that I had to look close to make sure it was working. The effect is really nice and much better than some other systems I've used. The downloaded app found the network hub easily, and on the first try. Initially you need to connect the hub to a switch or router via the included network cable to set it up, but after that you're free to disconnect the hardwire and it will run wirelessly. The app walks you through the setup of all the bulbs and lets you assign bulbs to rooms, and rename the individual bulbs to a more specific location. For the most part, the app is pretty clear and intuitive. Being able to control up to 64 bulbs with one hub is really cool. I will never have anywhere near that many on mine but it's nice to know I could. It did take some time for me to realize how the app was meant to be used, but after that, it was very easy to use. I do have a couple of complaints that I think relate more to the app itself rather than the hardware (which operated flawlessly from the start). When setting up the bulbs initially, I was able to choose predefined rooms with images for each room. There's also a user defined room which you can choose in the event the room name you want is not in the list. I did try this feature and was able to set up a bulb in this room. I could rename the room whatever I wanted. It also has customization for choosing an image to represent the room. I could not get this feature to work at all. It would take me to my images to let me choose one, resize the image, etc., but when I had it all done and pressed OK, it just didn't do anything. No error or help popped up. It just didn't do anything, so I couldn't pick a room image. This is trivial I know, but I did think it should work. The other thing I noticed that I think should be included (and perhaps it will after another firmware revision) is that there is no scene selection or configuration. You're pretty much limited to turning the bulbs on and off either individually, or by room. The same is true for the dimmer, either all the bulbs in a room, or individually. Scene selection at this point seems like an obvious omission. It would be great to set up the lights in my home theater room so that I could have them all on before and after a movie and then dim them to certain levels when watching a movie. Again, maybe I'm nit picking but it's certainly a feature I looked for, and I'm sure other people would want the same feature. You can setup rooms to turn on or off automatically at certain times for each day of the week. I'm not sure if you can do this at the individual bulb level or not. One of the biggest benefits to the Sengled system aside from the very responsive functionality is the price. If you've always been curious about adding this type of tech to your home, this is a really nice, really easy system to set up at a dirt cheap price. The bulbs that came with this system are one color and soft white (which is very similar to an incandescent bulb color). I did notice that there are color bulbs available by Sengled as well. All in all, great system with a straight forward user experience, but lacking just a couple of bells and whistles. Nice system.

Working on the smart home and this was an easy add!

These lights work and keep working. I had another brand go out on me and I replaced they with these. My only complaint is that it needs a hub. I recently bought a couple Phillips smart bulbs and I prefer those. But for the cost these are worth a shot.
