Its nice to be able to turn on/off threw an app. I installed way after i purchased and that was a mistake. I tried adding 2 lights and it just does not find them. Can no longer return. Test out right away if you but this.

I returned them since i was unable to get them to sync with my echo show. I didn't want to have to have hubs plugged in just for the light to work and use different apps. The light bulbs worked great with their own hub.

Bulbs are decent and very useful when connected to WiFi. Not sure yet why they are losing connection. They will lose connection around every couple of days. Have to reconnect through the app.

This product needs to be connected to its hub (comes with the product) in order to be working which I think is little outdated technology.

These lights worked perfect for a few months then out if nowhere they lost connection with the hub that came with them. I tried everything that Sengled told me to do but nothing worked. Up to this point they did work great with my Google home and my iPhone as well as my Pixel 3 XL. Idk if I just got some bad ones or what. Since I have Google home I have changed to thoer lights with no problems so far.

I will start this review with the actual install then thoughts following. This all in one kit is very user friendly, I downloaded the app before opening the box (Ios or Android) I created an account, opened the box and installed the bulbs in 3 separate rooms. I hooked up the hub to my router with the supplied cable and started the app, the App guided me through everything step by step. Following the app, I connected the hub to my network and it ran a firmware update almost immediately. (I liked this as it keeps up to date) then designated the rooms for each bulb. Setup a schedule for each room to test. (strictly optional). Each bulb turned on and off as advertised. The app is spot on and does everything you need it too. (note if someone in your family doesn't have the app all they have to do is turn the switch off then back on the the light is reset) I dialed in the level of light (dim/bright) that I wanted to for each room. Once again it was spot on with very little delay (1 second) I really like that the app also tracks energy usage for each bulb. You can even see the number of power cycles, online time, money saved, and the current power level (full is 8.5W) This can be viewed for each individual bulb as well as collectively. You can add up to 64 bulbs, more than enough for a house. The bulbs come in all light levels. I have the soft white (for me this is more orange) so next time I pick up more bulbs it will be bright white. Element has many bulbs available from soft to bright and even one that can be configured to thousands of whites and 16 million colors. This set can also work with Google assistant and Amazon Alexa, SmartThings, Xfinity home and many other hubs (if you use any of these you won’t need the included hub) Thoughts: I really like the ease of setting up and the apps many options. I like the fact that you can add a household worth of bulbs and I plan too. I’m hooked on these and will be buying more bulbs and recommending these to friends and family.

This combination of three LED light bulbs and hub is a good starting kit for home automation. The bulbs come preconfigured to be pre-paired to the hub, making installation very simple. After installing the hub by connecting it to your LAN, you can then connect it to your WiFi and move the hub to a more convenient position. The app (Element Home) allows you to rename the lights, and put them into Rooms, where they can be controlled as a group. You can also set schedules, and have a separate Wake Up Time. Pretty basic, really. I was interested in the bulbs ability to be used with Alexa. I added the Sengled skill to my Echos, and began search for devices. It found the 3 bulbs, but not the Room, as expected. I then created a group in Alexa app and was able to control the lights both individually and as a group using my voice. However, I have a lot of smart home devices already, so I reset the bulbs ( power off/on 10 times quickly does the trick - I use a bathroom fixture with lots of sockets and a manual switch to reset them all at once) and proceeded to add them to my SmartThings hub. They pair fine, and I can control them using the SmartThings app, but I want to use voice, so I deleted the old bulbs from Alexa and had her relearn my devices. No matter what I have tried, using two different hubs at 2 different locations, I have been unable to get them discovered. Maybe it’s me or my setup, but I couldn’t get it to work. So, back to the reset and reinstall onto the Sengled hub. It was super simple to add them back, as you can use the camera on your phone to read the barcode on each bulb. Since then, it has worked flawlessly. One nice feature of these bulbs is you can dim them clear down to 1% and there is no noticeable flicker. Overall, I am happy with these lights, but wish they would integrate with Alexa and SmartThings better. Also, the hub is limited in what devices can connect to it.
