These bulbs are bright but the light is too yellow for my taste. They work perfectly once you download the app to control them. Set up is very easy and simple though the instruction guide is small and short. I connected mine via the included Ethernet cable as opposed to wireless. The base gets hot like all LED bulbs of this kind. The app in iOS is easy and straight forward to use.

Was excited for this. However I spent 5 hours trying to pair the lights. One worked great the other 2 wouldnt pair. Reset after reset and nothing. Super annoying.

The hub wouldn’t even connect to my modem after hardwiring it in. The lights worked, but I could feel the heat radiating off of them. Not normal for LED lights.

Setup was a breeze. I downloaded the app, hooked the small hub up to my router and installed the lights in 3 different rooms. The native ‘Element Home’ app works fairly well, it’s not perfect but it is sufficient. You can adjust the brightness from 0-100% on each individual bulb and you can turn them each on and off individually or hit the ‘All on’ or ‘All off’ button to control them all at the same time. The real magic happens, at least for me, once you set it up with your Amazon Alexa. I can control each bulb individually by voice (Alexa, turn on the living room light) and you can even adjust the brightness (Alexa, set the living room light to 50% brightness). This is perfect for those family movie nights or when you just get home later than expected and forgot to leave a light on. I’m hoping to add on to it in the near future.

Installing the bulbs was simple enough (insert bad screwing in lightbulb pun here) However syncing them with the hub... Was tedious. I believe two bulbs are already connected to the hub by default, but I'm super smart and decided to manualy reset the system so I had to start over, so don't do that! (totally my fault but feel like it was worth mentioning how difficult it was to connect again after reset) It's been about a week after I have everything set correctly, well, they work as advertised... Just wish I could do more with the app like turn on when I get home or share control of the lights with a friend or family member. Maybe integration with other smart tools like tile or other smart key finders to have the lights turn on/off or something. I do that think that the lights could be set on a dimmer switch so keep that in mind.

I had to return these because I couldn't get these to work with the Google Hub. I bought a different brand that worked out much better.

The responsiveness of the app and the bulbs are horrible. The bulbs would start to update but could never finish the update

I received the Sengled Classic Hub with 3 bulbs and found the set up [fairly] simple and straightforward. First, you can connect this via WPS (Wifi Protected Setup) on your router or via Ethernet. I chose the Ethernet route as I plan to control these bulbs when away from home and feel this will be a more secure and stable connection. Please Note: for whatever reason, Sengled needs to be set up using 2.4GHz, as opposed to 5GHz. This turned out to be an issue initially as the Wifi connection on your phone should be to the 2.4GHz network on your router in order for the App to speak with the hub and I was using 5GHz, which prevented the hub from connecting via the downloaded app on my iPhone. Once I figured that was the issue, the rest was easy and everything worked as expected. The little pamphlet supplied with the starter kit, leaves a little a little to be desired. I would have preferred more detail. A visit to the Sengled Site wasn't exactly more enlightening as you can find the same pamphlet online or use the search bar to find questions already answered. Of course I could have just as easily used the toll free number to call them, but I'm pretty savvy and stubborn and figured it out myself. I connected the light bulbs to my Alexa system and found it's easy to find the skill in the Alexa list of Skills and control them directly via the Alexa App or verbally. It's nice that on the Sengled App, you can choose the room(s) simply and even rename the bulbs for the application you've chosen. You can also individually adjust the bulb brightness which is a great feature. Other really nice options include the ability see how much power consumption you're using by day, week, month or year, turn all bulbs on at once, or each individually. And advanced features permit you to control the bulbs on a schedule, which is fantastic if you'll be out of town and from the app, you can change the schedule so it really would appear someone is in the home. All in all, for a very reasonable price, this is a great addition to my digital LED lighting options in my home. I feel confident, I will be adding more bulbs in the very near future.

I bought this lights but then realized 4 are not enough and if I order more it becomes like ink spending lot of money.

Doesn’t connect to WiFi well. You need a hub and the app to control devices. Other products just needs a app

This is a pretty nice kit to get your lights updated to smart lights. Installation is pretty simple and easy although I did have issues with one of the lights not pairing properly. I had to reset the bulb by turning it on/off 10 times quickly. Setup/configuration is done through the companion app. I have a small condo so it's really nice to be able to remotely turn on/off to give the appearance that I'm home when I'm out. I'm slowly getting my place a little smarter and these lights were one of the key upgrades I needed to make. Great beginner set and easy to install.

The Sengled Smart LED light system is amazing. It only takes moments to setup. It's really as simple as installing a light bulb. The Element home app is very intuitive and makes it really easy to control all the Sengled bulbs in your home. We liked the Sengled system so much, we purchased one for our mother and she loves it as well. Some of my favorite features are: Using the mobile app you can name the bulbs and rooms for easy identification. You can control the brightness of each bulb remotely. You can turn on all bulbs at once, or individually. You can schedule times for the bulbs to turn on. I would recommend for every home. I will be getting more for other areas of my home.

The setup was very easy and painless. I thought something was wrong initially because I couldn’t control the lights from my app after I had screwed the bulbs in and setup the network but, FYI you may want to turn whatever light you’re using on and off after instillation and connection to get it in sync. This was a very great idea I’m able to turn off the lights with Google home and my TV since it has google assistant it’s very convenient I will by buying more bulbs!!

The setup for this product was extremely easy - download the app, plug in the Hub to power and ethernet, run through a few steps in the app, and you're good to go. I also found the response time of the bulb I tested to be extremely fast - specifically on brightness and on/off functionality. Overall, this is a high quality product that works as advertised.

Works with Alexa, easy setup. No craziness. Hub is wireless so you can place it where you want to without having to keep it hard wired. Only on the initial setup do you need to use the ethernet cable to connect to the router.

Hub & bulb setup is fast & simple. Just download the Sengled Element Home App & create an account. For security, I really like the ability to turn my lights on/off when I’m away from home. It’s also nice to make lighting adjustments from another room or when you’re already in bed. For basic on/off and dimming, the App works well most of the time. I had connectivity issues on occasion. Sometimes, a bulb is completely unresponsive. Other times, there is a delay when making adjustments. Also, the option to add a customized image doesn’t work. I tried selecting from my gallery as well as taking a new picture, but the App freezes & will not allow the change. If the App is upgraded & the bugs are worked out, this will be a nice system. Overall, not bad for the price.
