These bulbs hook to my google. that was super important to me. I am lazy and like to yell at google for 10 minutes instead of getting off my butt and turning off lights. This accomplishes that! but, you forget how many light bulbs are in a fan (4 in my case) so my fan has 4 smart bulbs and a missing bulb. I like to keep it classy!!

Convenient and energy saving at a bargain!

I have wanted to add smart lighting to my home for some time, I have children who can never seem to remember to turn a light off and many other minor albeit existent annoyances and for the price of this setup I decided to give them a shot. The app is a breeze, the installation (well how many people does it take to screw in a light bulb?) You can set multiple schedules (for example, I like my porch light to turn on at sun set, I work nights and we've got bugs! so I like the light to turn off 10 minutes before I get home. Then turn back on 10 minutes later and stay on until first light) makes for added convenience. I recently purchased additional lights when motion sense built in, they haven't arrived yet but my expectation is to put them in the restrooms so my kids don't have to turn on a light, and my pregnant wife has a little extra convenience during her frequent trips throughout the night. The lights are bright and the warm light is pleasing. I like that the hub is the only part of your network as adding multiple lights with their own access points can clutter a network pretty quickly (I'm looking at you lifx) the company has recently announced color bulbs as well, I just cant find one thing I don't like! Try them, you won't be disappointed

Sengled has a nice product - hub & bulbs

I have never had a smart home device before and I just love this! I have a small apartment with just two lamps that use regular type bulbs and for now, I have it set up in just one lamp but just the one is so cool! I also have Google home in a few rooms so I can be in bed and I can turn the light in the living room off when I forget by just asking Google to turn off the light. Simple! But... though it is easy to use, it was quite frustrating to set up. I was able to set up the hub and link it to my wifi without issue but to get it to sync up with the Google home was quite the task. It didn't come with a lot of instructions so it was hit and miss trying to change my settings and watching YouTube videos until I got it to work. But now that it does work I'm a happy person. How fun! Turn it on, turn it off, dim it, brighten it. Oh, the bulbs it comes with aren't very bright; I would like them to be brighter. Still, I would recommend this to a friend, just be patient during setup then kick back and enjoy.

    Reinventing the light bulb?

I have been testing these out for awhile now and really like them. My only gripe is that there is not a manual control. If you have your voice assistant (Alexa or Google) device near or your app on it works nice and easy. However, if you have light in another room away from the either of those choices, it can be annoying. Say for that, these are very cool and convenient. Out of town, use your the app to give the appearance of "Someone being home". Late night, turn the lights on before getting home just to be safe. Need a little extra or little less light; use the app dimmer. We dig them and I plan on out fitting most of my house with these gems.

    Did not work for me!

I have some other smart bulbs that work very well, so I was interested in the Sengled product, as the package offered seem as if it would be a good one to try out. Even though it requires a hub, and my others don’t. Also, information provided said these bulbs could be used with Amazon Echo without the hub. When I tried to connect the hub to my home network (AT&T U-Verse router/modem), very carefully following the instructions provided, it failed. I tried it several more times with no success. So, I tried to connect them to my Echo via the Sengled app. That was unsuccessful. The next day, I again tried several times to connect the hub. No success! Next, I called Sengled tech support for assistance and was quickly connected with a tech rep, who was excellent in communication skills and product knowledge. We spent over a half hour trying various things in an attempt to make a connection. Nothing worked! Finally, she suggested I contact AT&T to see if they could assist me. I don’t fault the tech rep at all, but the product simply doesn’t work with my network for some reason. As an aside, I have no issues with any other devices I have previously installed. Also, she advised the bulbs don’t work with Echo without the hub. If they did, I would have been happy with that. The bottom line is the Singled product is a zero for me. I have rated 2 stars, because the tech rep was 5 star. It’s not her fault the product doesn’t work with my network for some unknown reason.

Something I never knew I needed!

Just like my title suggests this was a product that I never knew that I needed but now I can’t imagine why I waited so long to have it. Love that I can set timers to turn on/off the lights or simply turn them on/off with a touch of a button in the app. I definitely plan to replace all of the bulbs in my home ASAP. The only negative (if you can call it that) is for iOS users we can’t utilize voice control via Siri but it’s not a deal breaker for me.

I really like these. Easy to set up with a Google hub. Not as bright as I would like on full power though but not terrible.

Smart lighting that works very well

I got the Sengled starter kit on sale. It’s about half the price of the Phillips Hue. Simple to set up and add the bulbs. I use Amazon Alexa to control the lights. They respond very quickly. I definitely recommend this product to add smart lighting to your home.

    Perfection!

Bought these and a Echo dot for my Mother. She often has trouble entering her dark room and fumbling to find her lamp. Now she just says Alexa turn on my bedroom lights and all 3 lights in her room turn on. So simple that even my Mom who doesn't really like new tech loves it. She has no problems using it and it brings a smile to her face every time she does it. It also gives the piece of mind that she doesn't trip when entering a dark room. If you haven't yet gotten into Smart Home products this is a great way to try it out.

The bulbs are really bright you only need 2 to brighten a small room. Installation is easy and the app integration is user-friendly. I wish the starter pack came with at least 4 bulbs though, 3 is a little 'odd'.

So i have been holding off on "smart bulbs" because of price. Ended up getting a deal and thought why not? These bulbs are awesome. Set up was easy and the hub has a wireless option so it does not have to be plugged into a router. Pairing it with Alexa was also easy and be able to dim turn on/off lights by voice makes things easy, I will be purchasing additional bulbs for my home.

I like this unit because it not only allows you to turn on/off your lights but you can also set a schedule to setup up according to your needs, and you have the option to deem it as well. My only issue is that if constantly goes offline. Not sure if that’s my WiFi or the unit. I have to reset it every time it goes offline.

    Absolute nightmare.

Product itself isn't bad quality. But getting everything set up is an absolute nightmare if you are trying to do an entire house. It somehow default added half my lights, won't allow me to swap them between "rooms" in the app, so now I have mixed up lights I have to go pull out to pair with their counterpart. DO NOT PUT LIGHTS IN BEFORE REGISTERING THEM IN THE APP IF YOU ARE BUYING MORE THAN 2 LIGHT AT A TIME. You'll end up redoing everything. The app is also clearly made by a Chinese company...the functionality and language in some places is, questionable.
