I came into this review knowing the reputation Sennheiser carries but never owned a product of theirs. I was blown away with the quality of these headphones. They arent built with metal but very study and premium feel. I workout with these everyday and sweat alot and these have handled it with no problem despite not having a IP rating. If you're on the fence about these jump over and join. You wont be disappointed!!!

    Great hardware, terrible software

Fit 3/5: The fit of these headphones is fine, a little bit more pressure than other headphones, but nothing uncomfortable. Sound 4/5: For the price, it has a great soundstage. ANC works well enough. Operability 0/5: You can not turn off passthrough/sidetone mode. You used to be able to in the Smart Control app, but Sennheiser has REMOVED THAT FEATURE!. Additionally, if you connect to a PC (win10/win11), you can use the device either as headphones (sound only) or as a headset (sound + mic). However, if you join a call in Discord or Teams, you can only use the built-in mic to talk if you're in headset mode. In headset mode, the Passthrough is permanently on. The typing on your keyboard and your office neighbor's conversation are louder than the call you're trying to hear. If you want it to sound normal, you have to force it into headphone mode and then use a secondary mic. Just give me a way to turn off passthrough/sidetone and this would have been a 4/5

    Battery life not as advertised

These headphones are supposed to have a 30-hour battery life, and are supposed to give an audible signal when power is running low. Mine do not. Battery life is maybe 20 hours, there is no audible warning. Just a sudden “Power Off” announcement before they go dead. I turned them on this afternoon, and my phone app said about 60% battery remaining. That should be 17-18 hours. 4 hours later, “Power Off!” Other than that, they’re reasonably comfortable, Bluetooth connects easily once I figured it out as the instructions that come with them are sketchy and not very helpful, and the sound quality is reasonable.

Super comfortable for any head size (we're a small female and large male and they work for both of us!) and sound quality is gorgeous :) These feel and sound like they should have cost a lot more!

These Sennheiser headphones sound fantastic, the sound quality is crisp and clear. The noise canceling feature is on par with higher price point headphones. Listening to my music was great in terms of quality. The headphones are a bit uncomfortable on the top of my head as well as a bit tight on my ears. I let my spouse try them and he said they worked wonderfully and didn’t feel uncomfortable at all, definitely personal preference on that one. They paired quickly to my iPhone with out any issues and the controls on the headphones worked great for controlling the volume and tracking up on songs. At first I thought the included cable was bad, but after reading the instructions and twisting the cable into the headphone jack it was working as expected connected to my laptop. Overall I think this is a great pair of Bluetooth noise canceling headphones. Sound fantastic and work better than I expected!

Sound great but are very uncomfortable

These were gifted to me in 2019 so I have had these headphones for over 3 years. I really wish they were more comfortable because the sound is actually great. However, it’s hard to wear these for more than 15 minutes at a time since they hurt the top of my head so much. I’ve resorted to folding a small towel and putting it on the top of my head and then putting my headphones on just so I can wear them for more than 15 minutes. Sound gets 5 stars, but comfort gets 1 star.

Excellent sound and is comfortable to wear. My understanding is that this is a color variation of the HD 450BT. The buttons to control it aren't super easy to use at first but once you are familiar with it they work fine. As with any over-ear headphones, your ears will get warm. These headphones are adjustable for fit and not heavy.

Very well packaged... They come with a nice zipper carrying/storage case that is large enough to hold the headphones and charging cable. I charged them for about 3 hrs out of the box. The instruction guide that came with it has really small writing - thankfully there are pictures!! I like that they are foldable and adjustable - they fit my ears really well. They are lightweight, yet sturdy so they are easy to wear for an extended period of time. Good padding around the ears to block out other sounds - but not all. I think the sound clarity is wonderful and I've had them going on and off for about 22 hrs and still have batter life. It was pretty simple and quick to pair up with my Bluetooth. I did download the App but didn't find it useful - just not a fan. CONS: the buttons on the side of the headphone are tiny and not labeled. You need to refer to the paperwork sent with the headphones to know what they are for.

Not able to use with our comptter

The sound quality is fantastic. Unfortunately, we were unable to pair the headphones with an HP windows 10 computer. Reading some troubleshooting tips online this appears to be a common problem. We bought the headphones to specifically use with the computer. That is the only reason the rating is a 3 stars.

I bought these for vacation. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality sounds and details from these headphones. I listen to a variety of different music and seems to handle all of them without any problems. Hard to beat for the money.

    Terrific Sound But Uncomfortable

I wish I could keep these, I really do. The sound is excellent, the small, unlabeled control buttons a tiny inconvenience but the real issue is one I read about and thought "everyone's ear size is different, but that's where the problem comes in. After about 30 minutes of use, they were so uncomfortable on my ears that I went back to my buds. The weight is ok , it's their size...just TOO snug around the lobes.

ANC? More like Active Noise Amplifying.

Headphones do *not* work with PCs. You can connect to multiple devices, but it will constantly cut out or disconnect from both. The ANC is useless - I can't even tell if it is on or off. Actually this headset increases the noise as it uses the microphone to push audio from outside into the headset. I was eating on my lunch break at work yesterday and I could hear myself chewing at 2x the loudness. Really strange. The sound for headsets is bad. The connection is worse. The ANC is reversed and is Active Noise Enhancing. The headphone build quality seems fine though. lol

Uncomfortable on an adult head; teens OK?

This is my first pair of noise canceling headphones. At first I couldn't pickup the difference, but it becomes obvious if you stand in front of a TV with a commercial on - all the background music disappears. I was under the impression that all noises in general would be canceled somewhat, but conversations don't seem to be included in that. I could hear people as if I were wearing regular headphones. Maybe my head is too big, but over time the headphones feel very hot and tight on the head. The controls take getting used to with adult fingers as you fumble around near your ear. They are not heavy. That being said, I was able to hookup the headphones to multiple iPhones via Bluetooth without issue, and sound quality was pretty good. Add in the very simplistic app you run with the headphones to act as an EQ, and the sound is serviceable. Controls work as advertised, but I never did figure out how to get the assistant functionality to work however. I think my kid's experience with the headphones was different. Smaller head/ears/fingers - like these were made for younger people. I'd recommend these for teenagers or younger. The headphones do collapse down and come with a nice zippered case for storage - I'd say about 7"x5"x4".
