I fly weekly for my day job so noise cancelling headphones are a must for me. I prefer over the ear. My gold standard has been the Bose QC series headphones that I've been wearing for 10 years now. I'm on my 4th pair currently using the QC 35 II. These things are compact, comfortable, easy to travel with and work wonderfully. Their only downfall is how expensive they are. Earlier this year I took advantage of a Black Friday sale and bought my 11 year son a pair of Sony WH-CH700N headphones thinking for half off retail. I thought they should be decent enough for him for a couple of vacations were were taking that involved flights. I swapped headphones for a bit and I got to hear how horrible the Sony WH-CH700N's were for noise cancelling. The Sony's are uncomfortable but most importantly they barely cancel any plane noise. I write all of this because when I got the chance to try out the Sennheiser Momentum's, I was doubtful they could touch the QC-35's in terms of noise cancellation, but I figured they had to be better than the Sony's. And indeed they are. I took the Bose and the Sennheiser on my last two flights (3 hour flights) to try them out. I was sitting one row back from wing. The Sennheiser does a wonderful job with noise cancellation and they are comfortable to wear. I still think the QC-35's cancel out more of the engine noise but the Bose are more expensive headphones. My primary use cases are noise cancellation and listening to audio books. I don't use them to talk on the phone, or to trigger Siri or Google Assist and I don't normally listen to music using them. The Audio book quality of the Sennheiser was excellent even with poorly recorded audio book files and I didn't feel like I had to max out the volume to hear over the roar of the engine. I did have to adjust the settings in the app to use the highest setting for noise cancellation to achieve a level closer to what the Bose headsets do. The Sennheiser's are bulky and the way they fold up means the carrying case has to be bulky as well: it's also a soft case not a hard plastic, so it wasn't exactly convenient to travel with. I kept wondering if they were getting squished in my bag. But if you plan on wearing them around your neck the whole time this won't be a problem for you. I love that the Sennheiser uses USB-C for charging and the USB-C to USB adapter that comes with the headphones is a very handy accessory. Charging times are also quick and the auto on-off based on the headphones being folded is a nice touch. Overall this is a solid product. While it won't replace the Bose QC35's, it's kicked the Sony's to the goodwill pile.

Not worth money my personal usage - uncomfortable around ears especially when i have earrings on - bass is not strong - high and mids are of high quality - volume is not very loud at max

I got these to use with my TV. Set up works flawless I do suggest getting the app on your phone you may want to adjust the auto off feature if you lay down while watching or listening

Disappointed in these. Love the look and feel but the connectivity was not reliable. Returned them for the more dependable Bose Quiet Comforts.
