Great noise cancellation, bass response
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, these are really quality headphones. I have a couple sets of other Sennheiser‘s which I really love. I was definitely excited to try some Sennheiser noise canceling headphones to see if they could make their way into my travel bag. First, the noise cancellation is top-notch. The app allows you to customize the level of noise cancellation do you want, and it is easy to turn off ANC on the headset itself, as well. One of the coolest features to me is that, when lifting a head set off of your ear, whatever is playing on the connected device will pause/stop automatically. Love that. The free app (are use iOS, but it is also available for androids) allows some customization, but at least in its current iteration you’re unable to connect to the headset if you were already playing music. You have to stop playback first, and then connect to the app. Not a big deal, but perhaps a tiny bit annoying if you feel the need to adjust EQ settings after starting playback. And here is where my only real quibble with the headset comes in. These, like many others on the market today, seem to be really tuned for modern music (Pop, hip hop, maybe EDM) and are really fairly bass heavy. As I listen to primarily jazz, classical, and some acoustic music, they don’t have the presence and clarity that I value in higher-end headsets. If your tastes, however, fit more closely with what these appear to be designed for, I can’t imagine you would be unhappy with them. EQ is adjustable via the app, which can help quite a bit with balancing things more to your personal liking, as well. One other thing to be aware of, as for many people ANC headphones are all about travel (particularly airline travel), these do not have a particularly small form factor when in the case. I typically keep them around my neck and this is a non-issue for me. Overall, I think these are excellent headphones – particularly if you are looking for great bass response and noise cancellation.

Great sound, poor value.

There is a supplied 3.5mm hard wired cord but in order to use it you have to open the headphones. Once opened they turn on, no choice. This give you options you wouldn’t normally have in a wired set of headphones, noise canceling, real volume control, play, pause, skip and so on. But once the battery drains your done. All my other wireless headphones that have the option of being used with a cord also give you the option of just being corded headphones, no power required. 2nd, the cord has no microphone. This is a by product of them not being corded headphones. Why even have a cord if you are forced to have them on in that mode. 3rd, while paired with a device, and nothing being input, they have an annoying click. Very soft and moves location, but clicks just the same. When I opened them for the first I was ready to return them because of the loud clicking. After the APP was installed I was notified of a firmware update on the headphones. After about 20 minutes of the update, they were ready to be used again. The clicking was “almost” fixed. The clicking is now so quiet and infrequent that if is easy to overlook. But at this price point, and by this manufacture, this is really unforgivable. 4th, when paired with the phone, the phone functions work, however the mic is not clear for making calls. People on the other end have a hard time hearing you. 5th, the Bluetooth range is 32 feet max, any further than that any they will start to break up. I have other Bluetooth headphones that get to 60 feet before issues. Ok, enough of what is wrong with headphones at this price point. On to what is right. They are very comfortable, they have a high level of adjustment making them fit about any head. The buttons are confusing, but no more so that almost any others. And once you know them they will be muscle memory easy. They charge using a USB-C cord. Included is the adapter to go from USB-C to USB-A. Still no power adapter but no one is including them any more. Included is a zipper case to hold the headphones and all the cords, you could even throw in a small power adapter. The sound created by these headphones is as close to surround as I’ve heard in headphones. Listening to music I’ve been listening to for years, and now I’m hearing things I never knew were there. The enjoyment of hearing your music the way it’s supposed to sound is money well spent. They are built rock solid from what I can tell. Stainless steel hinges and adjustment bands. They do not appear to have any water resistance so don’t get them wet, but I think that’s a product of the price point. At this price you’re not about to get them wet. They pair with 2 Bluetooth devices at once, and you can use both. If one of them is your phone it will take priority. The sound is warm and natural, with bass reaching into the 25Hz range (tested). If you looking for about the best sound you can get, and price and features are a non-issue, these have it. I am hoping they will release another firmware update to remove the clicking altogether.

Not Worth Price for a Sennheiser product
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sennheiser is a great company but these headphones do not live up to the brand name. You're better off paying more for a different sennheiser product, or going to one of the cheaper options and getting the same quality. Also the no off button is a turn off. Inconvenient to need to fold it close to power off.

Poor wireless performance
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really want to love these headphones. They are comfortable, they sound great, and I enjoy the features; however, they frequently "pop" and "crackle" on bluetooth. When I use other headphones with otherwise identical hardware setups, I don't hear these sounds.

Amazing headphones at a relatively decent price.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing headphones at a relatively decent price. The Sennheiser Momentum Wireless headphones are beautiful. They feel, look and sound premium. They have an amazing range of sound, where you can hear the deep base and high treble upon adjusting or customizing the sound via the app to your liking. The ear cups drown out mostly all of the outer noise so that you can be completely engulfed in the immersive sound they produce. If you choose to hear the ambient noise, you can do so with the flick of a switch on the headset. Battery life is good as well. In my experience I didn’t achieve the 17 hours of listening time but it was pretty close at almost 14 hours. A great feature is the ability to take calls. They sound perfectly clear and did not have any complaints from callers of crackling, rumbling or any other noises that some other headsets produce. The only issue I ran into was the headset would intermittently put the call on hold. The case you can store them in holds them perfectly and protects them pretty well. Although a harder case would be preferred since you want to protect your $400 investment. There is also storage inside the case for a charging cable and adapter. This storage space doesn’t obstruct the headset in any way, unless you over pack it. There are a few alternatives for a bit less out there but if you’re looking for great looks, build quality and amazing sound, this should definitely be your top choice.

Amazing Noice Cancellation
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just received these headphones last week and I have to say they are fantastic. I got these to replace some Sony over the ear wireless noise canceling. With these Synnheiser it truly is quiet. I wear them at work so it gets a bit noisy in the office but I’m not kidding when I say they make the area silent, no static or white noise just silent. Another awesome feature is that it has another mode of noise cancellation where if someone comes to your desk and starts talking you can hear the voice but drowns out other background noice. This is really nice vs. getting startled when someone walks up behind you. The app is good and you will need to customize the EQ as there are no programmed settings. If you are looking for crazy bass then buy Beats or Sony but if you want to hear pure crisp music the way it was recorded then buy these. They are also very comfortable and fold up nicely when not in use.

Horrible Bluetooth Connection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using Bluetooth headphones with my PC for years but wanted to finally upgrade to something top tier so picked these up. Paired them and tried them out, nothing but crackles and disconnects. Stand up from my desk and they completely disconnect, i had to sit perfectly still in an exact position to maintain a quality connection. Turned em off, reconnected my Samsung buds and quality music from the other side of the apartment. Returned within the hour.

The worst purchase ever
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It sounded well - Bluetooth 5.0 support, aptX Low Latency, high sound quality... But the reality was much worse: 1. They had constant connectivity issues. I have to reset my Bluetooth transmitter every time when I pressed the lower button on them. They simply stoped working. On the mac I had to restart iTunes each time after turning them on. It stopped playing music completely. Seriously? 2. My right ear hurt after ~2 hours of using them. If I continued, I felt a severe pain. They are too tight. These headphones doesn't fit the head of an adult human. 3. In a couple of days noise canceling stopped working. Also a loud background noise appeared in the left ear. Actually, that was a luck - I'm returning them now.

Embarrassingly bad for Sennheiser.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've never been more disappointed in a Sennheiser product - I would exchange these for headphones that are a quarter of the price if I could. Whoever approved these as a product for sale at Sennheiser needs to be fired. I'm not even interested in going into the details of what's wrong with these headphones - as far as I'm concerned, Sennheiser has wasted enough of my time by churning out these truly embarrassing excuses for a pair of headphones. Stay. Far. Away. From. These.

Great Headphones for a Trip
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to like these more than I did, as the Sennheiser name has been almost mythologized for me. I always heard that Sennheiser gives the best sound and they're a luxury headphone. These were extremely good at noise cancelling, like flawless, perhaps the best I've experienced to date. However the sound quality was a bit disappointing, at least on certain devices. It was not a seamless experience across multiple devices. However if you're traveling and/or going to be sitting for extended periods of time and want to immerse yourself in music or podcasts, these are very good for that purpose. The manual controls on the headphones seem a little dated and the volume and play controls are way too close together. These Momentums pair easy and to more than one device. They're a smart pair of headphones as they will pause as you pull them away from your ears and will turn on/off as you unfold and fold them. They're comfortable and seem to be made of solid materials, making their worth close to the price of the product. Sennheiser Momentums are by no means a bad pair of headphones, I just personally expected a little more and would ultimately have to say I'm going to reach for my Beats Studio 3s more often as I get the sound quality that I'm looking for with those.

Maybe it was a defective pair I got
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the momentum 2 and they were great. These ones do not work properly, the music gets interrupted all the time. Maybe I got a defective pair, but honestly the whole complication of different modes of sound cancelling and sounds settings does not work, the music at the gym and at my sñhouse gets interrupted constantly

Great sound, terrible functionality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The bluetooth call quality has been bad from the beginning. IT would often begin to go in and out during phone calls that lasted more than 5 minutes. Now the bluetooth doesn't turn on or connect at all. Keeps saying no connection and the paring button doesn't work anymore.

Buggy
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, after 4 months of using them, I snapped the headphones in half and tossed them right in the garbage. Can't return them, why would I waste my time to send it back to get repaired for the same issues to happen anyway. Good sound, but everything else is a mess, no need to explain if you read the other horrible reviews about these headphones, it'll explain everything wrong them.

good, versatile noise canceling headphone
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, the headphones come in a nice soft carrying case that appears to be of a good quality and will protect the headphones. The headphones are bigger (the over the ear component and well as the overall size in general) and feel heavier than a comparable Bose over-the-ear noise canceling headphone. The pressure against the ear feels a little firmer than the other brand, as well, at times making the glasses that I wear a little uncomfortable against the ear after wearing for a length of time. To help cope with the sound of someone snoring, I often wear the headphone to bed. Even with the size of this headphone, it was fairly comfortable throughout the night, but given that the controls are so prominent on the ear piece, it was easy to interrupt the music if pushed on the pillow or I adjusted the fit during the night. On the ear piece, there are controls for turning noise cancellation on and off, as well as a mode to pause noise cancellation to hear background noise/conversation, volume controls, stop/play, phone access as well as voice assist for accessing Siri. Although convenient, it does take some practice to hit the right button when wearing the headphones. I've often hit the wrong one and had to take them off to know what I was doing. The headphones are easy to turn on and off. One just needs to extend the earpieces or fold them up to turn the headphones on or off. The sound quality is good and I feel that it does a comparable job at noice cancellation to the Bose model that I have been using. Obviously, if music is playing, the noice cancellation is better than just wearing the headphones with nothing playing. I've been told that when I've spoken on the phone using the headphones as microphone as well as headphones, that I come across clearly, however, background noise tends to be amplified and the person to whom I'm talking has a hard time hearing me and not the background noise (in this case, a washing machine running). The device was very easy to pair.

Excellent Sound Quality with Noise Cancel
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sennheiser - MOMENTUM Wireless Noise-Canceling Over-the-Ear Headphones are really amazing headphones. From the moment you put them on, you will not be disappointed with the sound quality. With noise cancelation, almost all of the background noice in your area is taken away. I never noticed how loud the fan in my room was until I turned on the noise cancelation. Immediately the white noise was taken away. Also competing noise from my kids iPad was gone. It works great. As far as the sound quality, it is amazing. There is great bass range with the headphones while the highs are crisp as well. I cranked up the volume as well and I didn't notice any distortion. Controls on the headset make it easy to control your media without being in contact with the system playing it. You can increase/decrease volume, pause playback, and turn on/off the noise canceling all from controls on your headset. If you pull one of the earmuffs off to hear something, the playback will automatically pause. So why not 5 stars? I debated back and forth on this. My one criticism one the headset has to do with comfort. It has been a while since I wore an over-the-ear headset. The ear cushion is good. However, the weight of the headset is noticeable. Also, the fit was a little tight. These both became more apparent to me the longer I wore them. After watching a two hour movie with them on, I was ready to get it off my head. For this reason I took a star away. Altogether though, this headset is amazing. I really love the sound. The Bluetooth connectivity was easy with both my iPad and iPhone. I was a bit confused because it asked me to download an app with it, but I really didn't seem to need it. Just connecting via the Bluetooth pairing screen was easy enough. I would recommend this headset to a friend.
