Beware of Best Buy promises on moving data

I PURCHASED A NEW PC AT BESTBUY AND ASKED THE BEST BUY DESK REP TO TRANSFER ALL DATA FROM THE OLD TO THE NEW. THE REP REVIEWED AND AGREED I PICKED UP THE NEW PC TODAY AND MAJOR ELEMENTS FROM THE OLD PC WERE NOT ONLY MISSING FROM THE NEW PC BUT INFO I NEEDED HAD BEEN ERASED FROM THE OLD PC. LESSON LEARNED. BACK UP YOUR DATA BEFORE TURNING VITA INFO TO THE BEST BUY REPS. DAVID STOCKTON

terrible service

The salesman promised the service people would call the day before to give me a better idea when they would be coming. I had a four-hour window when I had to be at home. They didn't call the day before or the morning of. I tried to reach the Geek Squad by phone, only to be transferred again and again, without anyone being able to reach the technician. He finally showed up after the time was up, but I had to cancel because I was having people over. Not worth the money. Do it yourself or hire someone yourself.
