Terrible.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know it is beloved by many. I thought it was awful after 30 minutes or more that I spent on it. Never going to give it another try.

AMAZING! This is a really Groundbreaking Game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't usually write reviews, but this game is so great that I felt inspired to write one. I hope to share this amazing experience with other gamers. I know there are a lot of great reviews out there on this game and they are all well deserved. the nice visuals might have amazed them. But if they continued playing they would find that this game is a masterpiece in every sense and there is nothing even Comparable to this on Xbox. The game play is incredible, the navigation is creative, the controls are easy to learn, the map is gorgeous, the story is engaging, and the ending is incredible. The game kept taking me to new heights of amazement. . I came from owning an Xbox one X and honestly have been disappointed by their lack of content. This game is just one of many PS4 exclusives every gamer should experience. and this is not even talking about the groundbreaking PSVR experience. there really is no better time to be a PS4 owner. So if you are considering this game, please be sure to read all review out here on how amazing this game is. be sure to grab one of the PSVR bundles this Christmas because this game along with other PS4 exclusives are bringing PS4 to new levels and this is coming from an xbox owner

A Playstation Classic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never played the original game on the PS2 or the remastered on the PS3 but, over the years I have always heard of this game and/or seen it mentioned in the media and content that I consume on a daily basis. I have always heard of how this game and of how it influenced the production and artistic direction of a lot of future games, movies, and media and how much impact this game had in inspiring future projects. Now after getting my hands on the remake and after playing it, I see why this game was ever praised to begin with. If I could compare this game to other media like movies or music, this would be one of the many epics of the gaming world, just like LOTR is to movies or Bach is to music, this game is a classic. I don't want to make it sound like I am on the bandwagon hype just because this game got re-released (which truthfully, I was) and I just wanted to be part of the crowd. You might be thinking (as I also did at a time) that this game was just over-rated and that this game only served to please a niche genre to a niche group of people that just couldn't let this game go, but considering the fact that this game got released on the world's most purchased console, up against other great games of its time, this game had its moment and it should of just faded into one of many games that came out long ago and in the end should of be forgotten, yet this one managed to stand the test of time and still manages to be an epic game in today's standards, this game deserves all the praise it has gotten then, and all its getting now.

My all time favorite game.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game, this beautiful masterpiece, has and always will be my all time favorite game. From the soundtrack, to the ambient noises as you travel, to the most epic soundtrack ever, this games always makes me cry and get so many goosebumps cause of it's sheer awe. It never fails to amaze me and I always have so much fun playing the game. I've spent countless, COUNTLESS, hours playing this game ever since I was 12 and I still play it to this day religiously. February 6th, bring it on baby.

This is a Really Really BAD Game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't usually write reviews, but this game is so bad that I felt inspired to write one. I hope to save some people a few bucks. I know there are alot of good reviews out there on this game. I am baffled by that. I have to believe that those people did not play the whole game. I believe they must have only played the first couple of monsters. Because up to that point, the game was somewhat acceptable. And the nice visuals might have overwhelmed them. But if they continued playing they would find that this game violates almost every rule of good gaming - and some that I didn't even know could be violated. It does have a couple redeeming qualities: It looks good; and it has some cool monsters. But that is where it ends. The game play is awful, the navigation is awful, the controls are awful, the repetitiveness is awful, the map is awful, the story is awful, and the ending is awful. The game kept taking me to new heights of aggravation. If the controls and navigation had been good, then the game would have taken about 5 hours to beat. So it feels like they intentionally made the controls and navigation bad so that it would take longer to finish the game. That is a bad mistake. I would rather have had fun for five hours, than aggravated for 20 hours. I could write a book about all the flaws in this game, but to save time, let me just focus on one issue as an example: The Navigation. The game gives you three tools to help with that: A sword (which points to your destination), a horse (to travel on), and a map. All three of them suck. The sword points you in a general direction, but once you get close, or get in the mountains, or the woods, it fails. It usually leads you to a location where you have a few choices (like go left around the mountain, go right around the mountain, or go down a path thru the mountain). There is nothing telling you which path to take, and usually taking what looks like the logical path does not get you there. And in fact takes you a long way that often ends in a dead end, where there is no way to go but back out the way you came so you can try another option. Its like getting thru a maze without an overhead view of the maze - because the map is worthless. I have never seen such a worthless map. And on top of that, navigating back out thru the woods or thru the mountain on your horse is painful because the controls while riding the horse are so terrible. I often found myself quitting the game and restarting from the staring location, just so I wouldn't have to navigate back out and circle back around on the horse. I could go on and on about other flaws in the game. But I hope this gives you a sufficient taste. I post this bad review because it is getting so many good reviews, and I hate so see game developers encouraged to keep producing bad games. So if you are considering this game, please be sure to read other review out here. I'm not the only one trying to warn you. Good luck, and enjoy your (other) gaming!
