Customers are saying
Customers admire the AI Ultra 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum & Mop's effective mopping and mapping features, along with its ease of use and quiet operation. Many appreciate its strong vacuuming performance, especially for pet hair, but some users point to limitations in battery life and app functionality. Navigation and obstacle avoidance could also be improved, according to some customer feedback. The small dustbin size is another area where some users suggest improvements.

Mop Feature stopped working
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this robot a week ago and loved it. However it has now been stuck in the Error 9 Dustbin and is not recognizing mop mode. I have cleaned the bin and the whole robot even with compressed air. Very disappointed.

My floors stay clean!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m very thankful to have this Shark robot vacuum. It interfaces with the accompanying app seamlessly. Once the vacuum has made its initial rounds on the floor to get the lay of the land and map a floor plan, you can designate rug areas so it doesn’t mop the carpet. Yea it mops too! Just fill the cleaner reservoir with the provided cleaner and water and let the robot get to work. The robot vacuum does a really thorough job, especially along the baseboards which is where all of the dust, dirt, and dog hair tends to build up. One of my dogs hates vacuums and she couldn’t care less when it is traveling around the house. It’s very quiet and I generally don’t notice it’s working until it bumps into a few things. Some other very helpful app features are the ability to make cleaning schedules for convenient days and times. I have it set for Monday, Wednesday, Friday evening and my floor has never been so consistently clean. You do have to remember to empty the dust canister because it’s thorough and will get filled depending on frequency and amount vacuumed. You can also adjust the power so save on battery, spot clean, and clean specific rooms. I am very happy with this vacuum and the ability to automate some cleaning that I don’t have time to keep up with.

Good mop, vacuum combination
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 4th laser mapping robot vacuum i have purchased over the last 3 years. I use them once to twice weekly. I have found that laser guided ones like this are the way to go. I had one I owned briefly that I got for my basement that was a "bump and go" style (no laser mapping) and it was horrible, was not able to get half the floor done before re-docking because it spun in circles so much and ran the battery dead. It was returned. One of my 4 laser robots just didn't last. It was an off brand one that mapped and vacuumed superbly, but then the water tank started to leak bad and sidebrush died. What drew me to shark was it is similar to my current main one on my first floor. It mops and vacuums at the same time. My current basement unit (much like the one that died) I can only mop or vacuum. The water and dirt tanks interchange location. This one is unique to me because the water bin attaches to the back of dustbin. My other main unit has internal dustbin and water separate. That being said. This dustbin is comparable in size, the water bin maybe holds about the same amount also. My upstairs area I vacuum routinely is about 900 square feet, and this burned through about 60% battery life on vacuuming alone, 70 to 80% combined vacuumed mopping. I have about 100 square feet less if I mop due to a rug. Set up for this was easy. Download the shark app, login to your shark account (I have other products) or create an account, and follow instructions for wifi setup. All that went really well. My learning curve was a bit off when I did the water tank. I did not realize it initially went over the dust bin. I found out looking at a book online, it was not clear in paper book provided, and after digging in application, I found they have instructions under the tiny i icon in the upper right corner undet fluid reservoir guide. I do find this frustrating it was not up front in print, but many apps are getting this way, burrying things in layers rather than more laid out at one time like reading a book page. You can't hide anything there. And can flip ahead and back easily. I guess I'm just old preferring a solid manual I can read ahead before using that us linear, not layered. That being said the app works well, it paired nicely, and you can change water and suction settings quickly, pause and find the robot ect… from it. The mapping was on par with all my other robots, layout map is just like my house. Thay being said, It did not show me tracking of what was done and what wasn't, so when I was out of the house I knew where it was so I didn't throw a door into it, or walk across a still wet floor coming in. As for performance, vacuuming on regular setting did fair (combo of vinyl planking and carper), but it missed some stuff. I did not use the max setting yet, it likely would have done a bit better, but battery it may not have made my house in one time. I did mop and used eco setting on the vacuum. I had just vacuumed earlier in the day and that got the last of the other crumbs. I'm not sure if I left my 4 bedrooms on the first floor open this would make it on one charge. I estimate 1200 square feet are the limits to this one one charge, give or take what suction and water setting you use. Vacuuming, it seems powerful and got most things, some awkward bigger things it left, but second time it got. Mopping it got light dust footprints gone, but left a few spots of toothpaste that my boys got on the floor of their bathroom vinyl planking. Overall, I'm not going to detract any points for not having tracking lines on progress as all my others have had with laser guided tracking. The performance and value are on par with other models like this. It is definitely a bit better than the one in my basement, but my main floor one's app and mapping and tracking are better, but performance and battery about the same. I would reccomend this item to others.

Great value robot with a lot of features.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a surprisingly a fantastic cleaning robot. The quality of cleaning is great and the fact that it mops up after it vacuums is amazing. Since we have all tile floors, this is a great robot for cleaning. Compared to another big name robot, this is much quieter and seems to avoid obstacles much better. The app does a good job mapping out the floors and allows you to set exclusion zones. Other robots in this price range does not include that feature. The Shark Home app is integrated with Amazon Alexa so you can start the robot by voice. The emptying bucket is very easy to empty and does not require as much cleaning after the fact. The charging base is nice and large so that the robot does not struggle in returning home. The wheels on this thing is powerful and acts like an off-road machine. Be careful with sandals, this thing will climb over them. Therefore no problems with carpet or absorbing pads. This thing will have no problem cleaning whatever is in front of it and you will not be disappointed.

Definitely the Smartest Robot Vacuum I've Ever Had
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fact that this vacuum is dual purpose only makes it better. I have dogs and the unit is setup to run every few days. I will agree that the roll has not yet been tangled but would also say this is best on bare floors, it makes a small but minimal difference on my area rugs. If you also have area rugs be aware that utilizing the mopping feature will be a bit cumbersome. Trying to input small rugs into the app was a task within itself and the first time I tried using the mop feature it did a small area between the rugs then put itself back to it's base. For me, I needed to move the mop around in order to get all my floors mopped, which didn't bother me as it also keeps the rugs dry. For both vacuuming and mopping I really enjoy this unit and aside from the cumbersome carpet map issues the only other negative is corners. Although I can say this vacuum tries the hardest to get into the corners thanks to the AI, it still falls short because it's literally putting a circular unit into a 90 degree angle. Regardless of these facts and that I still also need to utilize a different vacuum for carpets and corners, I still really enjoy this vacuum. If you don't have area rugs it will be a dream for sure, it's easy to use and easy to setup and comes with everything you need, even floor cleaner.

For the LaziCleaners
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes I created a new word LaziClean. Just as Shark has taken a concept and ran with it with the Shark AI Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop with Matrix Clean Navigation. We are all familiar with that "other brand", and this particular model at least goes miles above anything they have produced. I have learned lately that shark puts out a quality product, period! The Shark AI Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop with Matrix Clean Navigation was easy enough to setup. simply attach the included side brush (which they included an extra, good on you Shark!), lay out the mat plug the "dock" in and let the Shark AI Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop with Matrix Clean Navigation find its way home (which it immediately does). Then It charges. I didn't time it as I left it to charge overnight. Then there is the app! It is so simple to use, an un-savy tech person would feel comfortable. Within the app you name your Shark AI Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop with Matrix Clean Navigation Robot, and they include some pretty funny names (steve mc-clean hahaha). Now onto the "meat and bones" of this review". This isn't just a "I let it run once through my house after it mapped it (it does that too)" and am now writing my review" review. This is a "I've been using it daily for well over a month review. And in that month I've been using it daily. And it has been truly a joy to use on my hardwoods (for any dust-bunnies) as well as my carpets. It has a surprising amount of suction power for its for factor as well. In addition to dry vacuuming, this baby also MOPS! It has it own dedicated mop head that gently scrubs the surface, not just smear and spread stuff around (I'm looking at you], other brand ! And it sucks it all up (both wet and dry) into easy to empty, and clean to empty bins. The Shark AI Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop with Matrix Clean Navigation has cut my weekly cleaning routine by more than half! I am now a LaziCleaner! Why don't you join me, and become a LaziCleaner as well!

This is a MUST for pet owners
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I admit it - I'm one of those paranoid people who hasn't run this vac while the dog was in the house. Why? Because I worry that should the dog have done his #2 business on the floor, this vac will turn from a dirt remover to a poo distribution system (way too many videos of it online!) I have run it off-schedule several times and it does a really good job of tracking down the pet hair ( we have 6 indoor cats and a dog) as well as spot cleaning any dirty spots it finds on the floor. Most of the house that we let it into has tile floor with grout - I've noticed there are times where it hesitates a little when going over the grout. Honestly, I think it may be due to the grout not being high enough, so the robot thinks it's fallling or will fall. Our house really isn't that large (only about 1000 sq ft) so the battery life is more than enough even if we were to allow it to go literally everywhere within the 4 walls. The dog we have is old and I sense he will only be with us another 6 months or so before nature runs it's course. Once that time has come I will set up a permanent auto-schedule and let the robot do it's thing automatically. A wonderful piece of technology!

Wow lidar on a robot ? And other cool features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow wow wow. First off you can use your 5ghz wifi channel . I have had no lag trying to connect to it . I had this issue with other robots that can only use 2.4ghz . I use mine with Alexa and for the other ones it took Alexa a while to find the robot i don't know why but it just did. Cleaning wise i love it . Once it maps out your home the first time it will clean much faster and more efficient, this is also thanks to Lidar before it would use cameras which wasn't that great. Just like myself when I manually/sweep clean i start from the edges and push everything to the middle . The shark ai ultra does this too! Almost like a spiral or track like movement . This robot does have vacuum power i have yet to make it clean again. Everything was picked up on the sides it pushes the dirt with air. And it has a huge dirt compartment so you don't have to stop your cleaning to empty it out. The mop part of the shark actually worked better than others because the pad actually vibrates/ scrubs the floor and you use the cleaning solution not just water. You also get 2hours of cleaning which is more than enough for my floor.

Good overall vac/mop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this robot for a couple of weeks and overall I think it does a very good job. I also had the previous Shark 2-in-1 vacuum/mop for several years so I'll be referencing some comparisons between them. My floors are all hard surfaces with rugs (thin to shag rugs). The unboxing and setup were easy. Connecting to wifi was pretty quick and setup on the app was easy. I have the vac at one end of my house and I think that has caused a few problems. I had the previous one more in the center and it seemed to do better with finding rooms. Attaching and detaching the mop is very easy also, as is emptying the vacuum. First off this vacuum is slightly taller than the previous one because it has a turret on the top center. I believe this is the air intake for the edge blower it has. It does not pose any problems for vacuuming, it goes all the places the previous vacuum could go. The edge blower system does work pretty well. I was figuring it might be a gimmick but it cleans edges noticeably better than the previous model. Because of the air system there is only a spinning brush on 1 side of the vacuum. From my experience this brush spins 2 fast on hard surfaces and will actually knock larger things out of it's path to the area it already cleaned. Overall it does a good job cleaning the room though. The path it takes is different than the previous. I'm guessing this is the 'matrix' system. It bounces around more back and forth but it does cover everything at least once, some areas multiple times. It takes longer to vacuum than the older model but it also does better cleaning normally so it's not a problem (at least not while the battery is new and holding a full charge). The mopping is much better than the previous model. It seems to scrub better and have a more even control. This will be nice as it keeps us from having to do large cleanings on the floor to often. The app/programming is much improved since I first received the previous model. They have worked out most of the kinks. There are still a few though. If I try to call it to only clean certain rooms it will just spin in circles for a couple minutes by the dock, then return without cleaning. I have to include a room I know if can find then it will do all the ones I selected. It's an inconvenience but not the end of the world. As I mentioned before they either need to program in a control for the sweeper brush speed or have it automatically slow down on hard floors. The control for suction power and mopping flow is very nice though and works well. Overall I think this is an improvement over the previous version of this vac/mop. It was a worthwhile upgrade for us and I hope it holds up as well as the last one has.

Great 2 in1 that needs direction.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Why have 2 separate devices when you could have one that does the work of both? Typically, the answer to that would be that one that does both will do neither job well. This jack of all trades does a pretty good job mastering both mopping and vacuuming. Now only if it could figure out how to read it's own map and get where it needs to go with efficiency. I love robot vacuums and automated gadgets that do stuff for you so you could do more interesting stuff. This Shark AI vacuum/mop hits 2 birds with one stone. It'll mop only the kitchen or only the foyer with not one, but two passes to make sure it got everything. Take off the mop attachment and it will vacuum all over the self created map says it needs to go. If only things work that way out of the box. Like any programmable product, it needs instruction and the way this unit gets it is by using GPS and laser guidance to map out your house. It first connects to Wi-Fi quite easily with the Shark app on your phone. You set up a cute name for it (examples shown for you) like mopsy or robomop and set it on its way to explore. Close any doors you don't want it to go or just mark them as no-go zones in the app once the map has been created. You then overlay room grids and name them, set carpet zones where you don't want the unit to go when in mop mode and the AI then takes over verifying where the boundaries are. Once the AI has learned where you want and don't want it to go, you can set it to work cleaning your house. I was impressed at how much quieter this unit is vacuuming than previous models. There was an awful clicking sound with previous units that this one has considerably diminished, though is still present. Even when mopping, the click is ever-present because it vacuums while mopping. I like how it moves the mopping pad from side to side in a mild scrubbing motion as it travels. You could easily hear the water solution being dispensed as it mops. There are 3 suction speeds and 3 roller speeds as well as an Ultraclean feature that goes over the same area in 2 different patterns to ensure maximum clean. This unit has some serious mapping issues. It doesn't stay where it needs to be when you program it to one room. It goes off to other areas and ends up getting stuck somewhere that's not on the map. It's a major issue that happens all the time. I even deleted the first map and had it retrace. It makes the unit unreliable to leave unattended. Not sure if the AI needs to learn the areas before it gets things right, but will try to update in the future.

Technology is amazing Vac and Mop and Robot in 1
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Long gone are the days of lugging around a big heavy vacuum cleaner with a cord long enough to get Indiana Jones across a huge ravine getting all tangled up under you and the wheels too haha. I've wanted to try one of these for the longest time due to me being a paraplegic, saving me the hassle and frustration of trying to wrangle a normal upright vacuum while maneuvering my chair around as well. This Shark AI Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop with Matrix Clean Navigation is a Godsend!! Out of the box you're given a list of accessories including a charging dock, two side brushes, and three mopping pads including a twelve ounce starter bottle of Sharks trademarked VACMOP cleaning solution. Everything is quick and easy to assemble to have you up and running with your new best cleaning buddy! (Side note: My Husky did not know what to think of this little beast roaming around on his territory at first haha) One of the cool features is it's only a mop when you want it to be meaning the mop attachment isn't put on until you need the machine to mop. Otherwise its just a vacuum so it's not constantly dragging around the microfiber mop pad making it dirty when not in use. When you do decide to use the mop attachment again it's quick and simple. Just fill the reservoir with the provided solution, close it up and easily attach it to the vacuum and voila! You're good to go. I wondered how it would work thinking it would have to go over something repeatedly to mop it up but instead the mop part agitates and moves separately as the vacuum moves across the floor. They really did seem to think of it all. The vacuum had great suction and the side brushes really helped to pull in and cover more area. It's really quiet as far as noise. You hardly notice it scooting around. I was really happy with the level of cleaning and simplicity of how easy it was to set up and use. I'd highly recommend it to others!
