Great for sleep in areas with lots of pollen

Doesn’t eliminate DUST

It does detect my husbands vape smoke and cooking smells and the sensor on the front will turn red and it will turn on to filter the air. But I’m not looking for one to just try to filter smells out of the home. So I’m returning this to try another brand. If you want one that reduces dust and pet dander this probably isn’t the one for you.

They are definitely more sensitive to smoke than anything else. I wish there was a clearer understanding of how it cleans bacteria and viruses.

depends what you are looking for

It does not seem to detect anything but smells. Cooking sends it off the deep end and it does help clean up the smells quickly. One of the fans makes funny noises right out of the box. when it is on auto it does not seem to ever change from low fan speed unless it detects a smell. the way the air circulates through it seems to counteract itself. the intake is on the back.... the outlet vents blow through the sides but towards the back making it seem like it creates a barrier and nothing in front of it will get to the filter.
