We have several air purifiers throughout our apartment because we have 2 dogs and 2 cats, and some family members are allergic. Additionally, our neighbors smoke and it frequently comes in through the windows or HVAC unit so having them in an apartment is a must for us. Additionally we have a new baby and we like to cook so keeping our air as clean as possible is at the top of our list. The Shark purifier ranks right up there with the best we have from Dyson and when the air is clean, it runs virtually silently in the background, waiting for particles to remove from the air. It is extremely easy to use and sensitive enough that I feel it's doing a good job sensing things that sometimes we cannot sense/smell. It is sleek looking and unobtrusive in the room. While the remote control is a nice touch, it isn't necessary for us as we just leave ours on and running all the time. I would definitely recommend this unit even more so when it's on sale.

My whole life I've always dealt with allergies and so far I've never really pinned it down to dust or pollen or anything in particular yet. I will say though, since owning this Air Purifier I am yet to have any reaction, such as a burst of coughs or sneezes although I don't wish to jinx myself. Without a doubt, the Air Purifier does work. I had this Air Purifier running on auto and my girlfriend lit a candle without me knowing. Within a few minutes, the fans auto-cranked to the highest setting and said our air quality was poor. When I first got it and set it in my room the air quality was determined as fair but has not been any worse since. I'm a little perplexed as to why since I'll leave my sliding door open and my backyard is covered in pollen but the sensor will only bounce back between 99% to 100%. All the information you would ever need to operate the product or determine your air quality is on the top of the Purifier which is very handy. Within a few minutes, you'll be able to determine what type of particles are mostly in your air but for the most part, they seem to almost always be even with one another. Typically my day-to-day with it will be turning it on, setting it to auto for about five minutes and that's usually enough to clear the 1-2% of bad air that is scanned. It's being advertised as mobile which is possible since there are handles and for most people, I think owning one of these would be sufficient. Once one room reads 100% clean air for several minutes, unplug it and run it in another room. It also doubles down as an air conditioner. I don't believe it would drop your house 20 degrees but it felt more chilly in my room, perhaps 2-3 degrees of a drop after running it for half an hour. An unstated but welcoming feature. I do think it's too pricey though. For a device this expensive you think it would be a Smart Purifier. For instance, the ability to connect to an app or to use Google Home with it, but all you get is a remote. Due to the price, lack of smart features, and the inability to further test its claims of 100% pure air, I'm not going to give it five stars, rather a four.
