Compared to the price of the dyson the shark is well worth the money you save

This is the last Shark vacuum I will purchase. I started buying them in 2015, buying the $150 variety and have just considered them disposable as they usually only lasted a year before something broke. Still, they outperformed everything under $700 for that year. I decided to splurge on this one back in August due to all the favorable reviews and thought for sure this one would last a little longer. Nope. I can no longer in good conscious continue to purchase vaccuum cleaners that are not worth fixing and that end up in the landfill. Going to give Riccar a try. Had I sprung for one in 2015, I'd probably be about even, less 5 vaccuums in the landfill.

Good value for the price. Nice looking and comfortable keyboard.

Good vacuum a little top heavy but does a great job

Not a good vacuum for a household with dogs. It overheated from picking up the hair from my two shepherds. If you do not have animals, I believe it would be much better.

We use for our harwood floors. We have heavy traffic in the house it works fine for that. It doesn't hold a lot of dirt so dump often.

Worked really good for a week or so and then I started noticing a burning smell, the vaccum would get hot really fast right under the handle where you hold it.

I was interested in this Shark Vacuum with its self cleaning promises. I can say that I was pleasantly surprised that it lived up to its promise. I have an older upright vacuum that I have spent years flipping over and cutting my pet’s hair from around the brushes. I have vacuumed my house (which is approximately 3000 sq ft) 4 times with Shark Stick Vacuum and the brushes still look brand new. I also like how light weight it is. I was able to easily carry it up and down the stairs in my house without struggling with the bulkiness of my traditional upright vacuum. I’ve had other “lightweight” stick vacuums in the past and I have never been impressed with the power that they had. Even with its lightweight, it still had the power of an upright and I feel it actually did a better job cleaning and vacuuming than my other vacuum. There were only 2 negatives I would say about this Shark and they were definitely not deal breakers. The first one was that there is no place to put the attachments on the vacuum itself; it’s a bit annoying because I had to find a separate home for them, but overall, I’ve never really had much use for the attachments, so it didn’t matter too much to me. The second thing was that unlike a traditional upright vacuum there was no way to lock in place while vacuuming. You have to find a place to lean the vacuum up against. I understand this is part of having a stick vacuum, but just something to consider. Overall, I love this vacuum and can not talk about it enough - it’s lightweight and powerful. It does a great job and I don’t know if I would ever buy other vacuum.

This vacuum is lightweight and easy to use, working on rugs and smooth surfaces such as hardwood floors. Multiple attachments are provided to getting into all nooks and crannies. The weight is in the head, making the unit easy for doing baseboards or anything where you need to reach up. Although head-heavy, the head disconnects from the tubes and rollers and gets conveniently placed near the roller base for easy storage.

It picks up dirt in carpet real good. Still trying to figure out how to use it on my steps. Do you have any suggestions?

Upgraded and much happier. With the heavy part at the top, made the bottom part raise off the ground when pulling back.

Top heavy gets a little getting used to. Vacuuming is good. Very versatile.

This vacuum is okay. I have had a lot of vacuums and this one is just okay.
