Better vacuums at a actual vacuum store. Returned this item and went to a actual vacuum shop and bought one. This vacuum is not worth the purchase. People look at the name… just go to a vacuum shop.

We already have a upright Shark Duo-clean, so we have something to compare it too officially. For starters to stick vac is definitely quieter than the original upright. It has excellent mobility. The trash bin is easy to get to and use. The bin is small but it's a good size considering this is a stick vac. The attachments are easy to handle but no room for onboard storage. The best attachments looks almost like a car detail vac and brush. It works great at getting into small placed. The vacuum has plenty of power but I'm not sure if it's as powerful as Dyson V10 but it will definitely do the job. So far the best feature is the self-cleaning function. It promises no tangled hair and so far it's doing a pretty good job after 2 full sessions in my teenage daughters room. Overall - excellent product for the price.

We've had mostly cordless vacuum's lately but wanted to give this corded vacuum a try in hopes of more cleaning power and we were not disappointed. For starters it does not seem cordless because it has ample cord length to get anywhere we need to get in each room. It has a swivel self propelled head with bright lights that help you get into all different kinds of corners and across the room in no time. We also liked the flexibility to reach under the beds. Another cool feature is the releasing of the wand that turns it into a short vacuum to conveniently go across our stairs. The dust cup is also way more convenient to remove and dump than a cordless counterpart, although it does fill up fast as this thing really picks up the dirt! Simply put, my wife LOVE's this vacuum and made sure our cleaning person tried it out. Their response was more of the same praise as they swore it outperformed their $1000 vacuum at home. You won't be disappointed with this Shark!

So far I have been very impressed with this new Shark stick vac. I have a full size upright Shark vacuum, and this stick vac is actually better for certain things. First, it's light and maneuverable on stairs, and in tight spaces. The smaller brushes and detail hoses make tighter areas a breeze to clean. Also, the dual brush-roll head works great on stairs, my living room, and my hard tile floors. The "bare floor" mode keeps the brushes spinning on hard floors, but slower than the carpet mode. This lets this stick vacuum pick up everything off of my tile floors, and the difference is definitely noticeable. I have decided to keep the stick vac downstairs for the living room and hard floor surfaces, and keep my larger upright vac upstairs for the carpeted bedrooms.

This is my third Shark vacuum. I have an upright and canister as well. I got this one do quick jobs and because it’s lighter and easier to handle than the other 2, about 10lbs over all. I was a bit skeptical at first, being that it was smaller and lighter than the others I have, that it wouldn’t have as much power. I was so wrong about that. I did find the Shark APEX easier to handle, though still a little heavier that other stick vacuums that I’ve owned. I love the swivel head which make it is a breeze to turn. I don’t have to pick it up. The accessories that came with it are nice, but there’s no place to put them. I bought a clip from the Shark site but it only holds 2 accessories, so, I have to keep carrying the others around with me. Now for the vacuum ability. It has 2 suction settings, one for carpets (setting 2) and one for bare floors (setting 1). I have a lot of scatter rugs over my hard floors and this does very well on the low (1) setting without sucking them into the vacuum and stopping the rollers. The rollers are perfect if you have pets as the fur/Hair doesn’t get stuck in them. It appears to be self-propelled which means I don’t have to push it as I do with other stick type vacuums. However, on setting 2 for the carpets, it really pulls forward so I’m finding myself pulling it back frequently, so I keep it on setting 1 since my carpets are all low pile. The Shark APEX is also quieter than my other vacuums. I like the low head on the carpet bush for going under furniture. There are some aspects that I found a little disappointing. The Shark APEX doesn’t stand up on its own, so I need to make sure I prop it up well or lay it down on the floor. The dust cup is not as big as I’d like it to be. I have a cat and I’m finding myself dumping out the dust cup frequently due to the fur. The dust cup has a very large opening on the bottom, so I make sure I have it completely in the garbage pail before emptying. The first time I dumped it, I got a lot of the contents all over the floor. I now know better. Separating the wands takes a bit of strength as well as they lock tightly. I like the fact that I can just use the motor for a handheld vacuum, but it does get heavy after a while if I’m using it for reaching areas above my head and need to hold it with 2 hands. Over all I am pleased with it and have since purchased various accessories for under the appliances, extra reach and longer wand. The Shark APEX is an excellent vacuum for quick jobs, spring cleaning or complete jobs.

Zero-m, duo clean and powerful vacuum!

I bought this vacuum on sale a few weeks ago. I am impress with how portable this vacuum is. The best part is it never runs out of power because it is electric powered from the outlet. I bought this mainly because of its duo clean and zero-m features. With its zero-m feature I do not have to worry about hair getting entangled or mess up on it. The duo clean is impressively very functional. I also like that this vacuum has great suction power, headlights and moves agilely even on tight corners and spots. It cleans well on hardwood and carpet areas. Storing it also takes minimal space. My only suggestion is I wished the vacuum would have been a bit more lighter and could stand on its own. Other than that, I am happy with my purchase.

    When cordless isn't good enough

This Shark Rocket Zero-M stick vacuum provides all the power and runtime of a corded vacuum with a lot of the portability and ease of use of a cordless handheld. We have Dyson ball and handheld units in the house but the Shark Rocket Zero is a great balance between the two when we want to clean our first floor which is a combination of hardwoods and carpet. We keep the Dyson ball upstairs and the cordless is in the kitchen. This Shark is great for cleaning the carpet on the stairs and the living room and office carpet while transitioning perfectly to the hardwoods and tile in the kitchen and family room. And we don't have to worry about batteries running out after 20 minutes of heavy use. The attachment rollers on the stick vacuum do a great job of self-cleaning our cat hairs and it has LEDs to help see what you're cleaning. You can also break it down and use it as a compact vacuum for furniture and it has an additional dust attachment for windows, blinds, and curtains or shelves. Overally very pleased with this Shark Rocket unit, you can never have too many cleaning tools!

I have an older model Shark Rocket that has the same stick handle profile but it’s not an Apex nor does it have the DuoClean function. It was definitely time for an upgrade as the suction over the years has decreased. With this Apex DuoClean stick vacuum I’m able to pick up items in spaces that were hard to reach with my older Shark. Because this one has two rollers, it can get the dirt, crumbs and debris that are held captive by corners next to baseboards. I like the idea of not having to pick and pull off items like string, hair, and lint off of the brush roller. The amount that I’ve had to remove so far has not been a pain. To compare my old one which does not offer that function, it is 96-98% at removing the items on its own. There would be some string left on the roller that I manually had to remove. It was a snap to put together and even easier to store, with the detachable head that sits at the base of the unit for storage (not new to the Sharks stick vacuum lineup). It’s quick and easy to change how you want to use your vacuum (I.e. handheld, etc.) and switch out accessories. I really like this unit. The suction is strong. I appreciate how much easier it is to dump collected dirt than on my older model. I totally recommend this Shark DuoClean vacuum.

This is my first time using a Shark product. I must say I did not think a stick vaccum would do much, but I was totally wrong. This is a great vaccum. The suction is powerful and if you have a pet or the like this unit is the ticket. I like the cord versus cordless so never a power drop off issue. It is easily maneuverable and not heavy at all. Clean up is a breeze and does not take up much room. I would recommend this for smaller areas maybe not an entire home but regardless, it's a powerful well constructed vacuum. This will not be my last Shark product!

This vacuum blew me away! It's light, compact, extremely portable, and has no problems getting the job done. Upon unboxing, I was initially surprised at how many accessories it came with. It includes a Precision duster, a Pet Multi-Tool, and best of all, a 5" Crevice Tool for getting to those pesky tight couch cushions. The cord is sufficiently long, and overall the package size of everything is extremely compact and tucks away without issue. Upon vacuuming, the experience was pleasant. The vacuum was surprisingly light for how much suction power it has and how much dirt I found my old vacuum not picking up. The vacuum can easily fit underneath furniture a normal vacuum cannot, and the motor on the vacuum is quieter than I expected. The noise is very refined and not annoying or disturbing. A couple major selling points of this model are the DuoClean dual-brush roll system that works amazing switching back and forth between carpet and solid floors, and the Zero-M self-cleaning brush roll that removes hair off the roller by itself. I constantly found myself having to disassemble and clean the roller of previous vacuums. If you do need to disassemble and clean the rollers for some reason on this model, they couldn't of made it easier. Two button presses and the cover pops right off and has a nice satisfying click when you replace it. The LED lights on board also help you see where and what you're cleaning, especially when you utilize its size advantage in those hard to reach areas. I did notice a couple minor notes of improvement they could make but don't in anyway affect the rating of the vacuum in my opinion. I was surprised that the exhaust air comes out the bottom of the handle where you grab, so if you bring the vacuum close to you while vacuuming, you do notice warm air exiting the unit. The air has to go somewhere, it's just located in a spot that made me notice it. The other thing I noticed was when wrapping up the cord. The vacuum isn't as stable as I thought it would be and rocks back and forth quite a bit when wrapping up the cord. Nothing major, and it doesn't affect the unit once the cord is wrapped up, it just needs additional bracing when wrapping up the cord. Overall this is a great unit and I'm extremely glad to have it around. It's a perfect size, refined, lightweight, and just gets the job done with ease. I would definitely recommend!

This is a very versatile product that can be used effectively in a variety of areas. If you want to clean your car or a tight area, no problem. If you have pet hairs on your floor or need to vacuum your carpet, this is the vacuum. Lightweight and self cleaning are among the other features that set it apart. Since starting to use, it has become my go to vacuum.

Shark Rocket Zero-M Self-Cleaning Brushroll Corded Stick Vacuum is a sturdy well-made stick vacuum. The vacuum is light and easy to maneuver around and under furniture and does a very good job on carpets and seems a little weaker on hard wood floors. The size of the vacuum make it easy to store and the only real complaint I have is that it is top heavy and must lean on something to keep it from falling over when using it. The top of the vacuum detaches to allow you to use it as a portable vacuum with hose attachments to vacuum around seating cushions hard to reach areas. There is a hook on the stick of the vacuum that allow you hang the top (motor) portion for storing the vacuum when not in use. Good Long cord Swivel neck Low under furniture Better on rugs then hard wood floors Good instructions and easy to assemble Bad Weaker on hard wood floors Top heavy and must lean on something to stand I would recommend this vacuum so long as you are aware of it being top heavy when being used and that it needs to lean on something to keep from tipping over.
