Did a lot of research and orginally wanted the cordless stepdown of this vacuum. While in store I researched a little more and saw this was $50 cheaper at a competitor. That plus my BB rewards made me "upgrade" and finally get a good multi-surface vacuum. It works great on my tile, hardwood, and area rugs. I only have one room of carpet that is low traffic, but it still picked up a TON of hair/dander. So far its great and I'm happy with my purchase.

Excellent machine! Never liked vacuums for hard surfaces until this one. It actually picks up dust and and dog hair on my kitchen tile and hardwood floors without just blowing it around the room like others. Suction is is adequate, there might be better, but this picks everything up so I'm not sure how much more is needed. Only design flaw is three attachments and only two places on the vacuum for keeping them on.

Once my Dyson Cinetic lost suction, it was time to replace it. Our relatives have been using Shark sweepers with good results. So, we decided to give this one a try, especially since it's like half the price of a Dyson. I am very happy with it. The suction is fantastic, the hose is incredibly easy to detach, the dust cup is easy to empty, and the headlights are a great touch. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve heard a lot of good reviews for Shark, but I’ve always used a Hoover. I decided to give this one a try and I am impressed! First, it was easy to assemble, just clicks together and you’re ready to go! It’s quiet too, for a vacuum. I’ll point out all the other amazing things I noticed first. -Super Suction! This thing sucks up everything! You can clearly see the path where it’s been on carpet. -Long Cord, the cord seems extra-long which is a nice feature -Can go low, it can fit where my other vacuum doesn’t, underneath furniture and in tight spaces -Lights! There’s a light at the base, and a light on the wand. It’s such a great feature, I had no idea I wanted! -Hepa filter, this is now mandatory in a vacuum as far as I’m concerned. -Attachments! This thing has some great attachments, I’m most excited by the pet tool and the duster tool. -Versatility, this can be a canister vacuum, a wand, and a traditional vacuum. -Rollers, the rollers have a unique feature that stops hair from getting wrapped around it. This is nice, I can’t count how many times I’ve had to unwind hair from the rollers. Cons – I don’t think these are worth not considering this vacuum if you are in the market, these are just, next model upgrades -Bagless feature, the dust canister is small and will probably need to be emptied after each use -Heavy, it’s a bit heavier than my other vacuum, but it moves easily -Attachments, the vacuum comes with 4 attachments but you can only store 2 on the unit, so the other 2 sit in the closet, which is not convenient. Overall, I’m impressed with this vacuum and happy to have it. It was easy to assemble and does a great job picking up everything in its path. I highly recommend this vacuum.

My other Shark vacuum that I loved stopped working so we saw this one advertised and figured it would be just as good. It took me a little bit to get used to the new design and it is slightly heavier than the other one but I have grown to really like it and it is just as good if not better than the last one. The lights are actually stronger and you can see a little better with this one. You won't be disappointed.

Had a dyson this thing blows it away and it is a lot cheaper easy to empty and clean

I only have two complains. I wish the attachment tools were better. Like adding a soft bristle brush would have been great!! Also it’s kinda heavy and bulky. But overall amazing vacuum with three long haired girls and two dogs that shed like crazy!!!!!! It’s very flexible and glides very nicely. Canister holds a lot before it needs to be emptied. My favorite part are the lights and the long hose that extends very far.

This particular model works great, especially for picking up dog hair. I used to have a Dyson upright, but i feel this has better suctioning power. I like that i don't have to worry too much about hair getting stuck or tangled in the roller brush because they designed this model for that issue. I'm glad about this purchase.

Really good , I have a husky & she sheds hair that is like wool , it sucks it up is easy to operate

The vacuum is quite maneuverable and has terrific suction power as well. Overall, this vacuum does everything I need it to do and more. I like the ability to unlock different components to increase maneuverability and create an ability to access tight spots around the house. The pet hair tool is much better than the previous vacuum I owned which was not a Shark. I am very pleased and believe I will be a Shark costumer for life.

Easy to use and light weight. You don't have to work so hard on plush carpet and really easy to transition to hard floor setting.

I had a Dyson and it really wasn't doing the job I needed. In looking and per my Grandson he told me to look at the Shark APEX. I couldn't believe what this vacuum could do. I have a white cat and this vacuum pick-up all of her hair through out the house. I love it very easy to use and love all the accessories that came with it and then purchased more. Great Vacuum love it.

Exactly what I wanted! Easy to get hair out of roller, perfect for rugs and carpet.

Very good vacuum. Easy to operate. Need to have soft rubber molding around suction head. Hard plastic dings woodwork.

I really love Shark products! This is my second time purchasing a Shark Vacuum and I am always pleased! This vacuum has the best suction power and also has led lights on it which help a lot! You can lift the container off the base and reach all the way under the beds without having to move any furniture. I’ve also had Dyson vacuums but they do not compare to Shark!

I must admit up front there were some initial problems. The first one they shipped to us would not turn on. Took it to the store where it was ordered and swapped it for one one the shelf. That one would not come together so we ordered a third. As they say the third time was a charm. This one works very well, very strong suction and even has a "headlight" to show the way. One thing: the lift-away tank is heavy. Unless you have real need to vacuum under furniture I would skip that feature.

Love love this vacuum. Works so well the power is amazing. Simple to use and easy to assemble.
