A: There are three levels (Hard floor, Low carpet, & High carpet). The vacuum has a pretty powerful rotor system that will move a large pile and has picked up everything I've thrown at it. The selection for the floors reduces the spin speed so you wont be ripping carpet apart. The suction power is impressive.
Q: Is this the correct motorized pet tool for this model?
A: They sneakily changed the pet tool too a cheaper less effective air driven model that doesn’t store on the vacuum where indicated. You can by the correct model for around $50 from shark.
Q: Do you use the same head for carpets and hardwood floors or have to change to a different head?
A: No change necessary. Just flip switch to raise and lower the brushes.
Q: Does this vacuum have a retractable cord? Or do you have to manually cord it up to put away?
A: No it doesn’t.
A: this machine is a beast, cleanable also I wouldn't worry about the carpet unless the brush is wet then its gonna get nasty.
Q: How much does the detached lift-away canister weigh?
A: The Lift-away portion of the Shark - APEX DuoClean with Zero-M Powered Lift-Away weighs 8 lbs.
Q: Is this vacuum hepa filtration?
A: Yes, washable filters (also replaceable) with an enclosed filtering system so the junk stays IN the canister and doesn't escape to you and your surroundings. You can find replacement filters here (link below). https://www.sharkclean.com/support/ Look up the model #s and see if you can find them cheaper but Shark is reasonable and shipping is SUPER quick!
