This unit is advertised as being good for pet hair. We have a collie, and in the first 15 minutes of vacuuming carpet the roller froze - dog hair caught in the roller bearing. Managed to get it cleaned out and working again. Next use it froze again, and no amount of effort could get it working again. The warrant DOES NOT COVER THE ROLLER PORTION OF THE VACUUM. Called Shark tech support and found out they want over $80 to replace this part that broke within 2 uses of the vacuum. (I did end up getting a partial discount). I'm torn about this vacuum. It really is a joy to use and looks like it would really do a good job on the carpet, Hope the new roller unit will last long enough to get some value from the unit.

Capricious is for my wife. She was always complaining about the rainbow and the other vacuum we had. This one has an amazing amount of power and the extension wand is great

Over the years I've had 2 Dyson vacuums, and both have broken down. This thing is a monster, and very little maintenance needed. Love how the brush cleans it self.

When we used the vacuum on our recently vacuumed carpets we were stunned to see the excess dirt this shark picked up. So far so good. Loving the Zero M tech that cuts the hair.

Very good vaccum, it cleans up all the dirt both in my carpet and on the hard floors. It's very versatile with all its adapters that come with it and I love that it can reach into small areas like under beds and stuff like that.

I’ve always been a fan of Shark and this one did not disappoint. Quality is top notch and the extra roller picks up the extra dog fur

This is the first vacuum that does not smell like burning pet hair when I turn it on! The soft brush also makes quick work of just about any debris on the floor. Vacuum can be heavy to maneuver at times.

We bought this unit to replace an old Kirby and we are so glad we did. This thing weighs half of the Kirby and does a why better job. It was on sale when we got it.

This vacuum cleans floors great as well as carpets. There are three settings on the vacuum to choose from. Just pick the one you want to use and it's easy as that.

Got it at a great price.. has all the features we wanted! Power is awesome! Kicks the crap out of our old Kirby. Hands down, love this vacuum!

I have a Cat that sheds allot and hardwood floors. This is by far the best vacuum I have used. Only downfall is how it opens to clean out.

This was an amazing purchase! We couldn’t be happier with how it works on carpet and hard floors! Zero complaints.

The suction is excellent and overall it definitely works great but despite claims that the carpet roller will “clean itself” I still had lots of hair caught around the roller after the first use.

Was a little nervous about buying, but couldn't be happier. Picks up everything from the floor and adjusts easily. Accessories work great too! No problems here.

I'll go straight to the point on this one. It's got amazing suction, and cleans like nothing else I've used. It's beautiful too.

Works great....I recently switched from a Dyson owner (15 years) but the Shark has far more suction than any Dyson I’ve owned. Glad I made the switch!

I recently purchased this vacuum and have not had any issues thus far. it has been doing a great job especially with the fact that I have 2 children and a dog!

Very powerful vacuum and seems to worm very well. Parts on the shark vacuums seem to be wearing out so fast though so be aware of that
