Bought this 2nd model especially because of the pet hair (and my long hair) in the home. It picks up the fur and hair without any binding in roller! It also picks up the bird seed on hard floor without tossing it all over. Love this vacuum. The ONLY thing I would say is that it takes a bit more arm to push it.
