Great overall vacuum! Powerful suction, durable, and easy to maintenance.

Purchased this vacuum to replace a previous Shark model. Immediately, found a much better cleaning experience, especially on our hardwood floors where we could see the dust effectively removed by the front brush. Overall, we are very pleased with this vacuum and would recommend it to others. The only negative is that more cleaning tools are not a part of this product's package.

This vacuum cleaner is better than my last shark . They must have listened to their customers. The roller head cleaning is better and the fact that I can remove it to unclog is a plus. The motorized pet tool has been upgraded also. Every aspect of this machine has been redone in a good way. Overall I think this is the best shark they have made and I have owned 2 and only replaced them because of wear.

In our new home the carpet is extra thick. This thing sucks so well that we are disgusted with all that it pulled out of the carpet

Well after using 3 Bissell Pet Hair Eraser vacuums, I decided to go in a different direction so I purchased the Shark Apex DuoClean vacuum. I like the construction of this vacuum compared to the Bissell. The removable parts really "snap" into place and don't come apart like the Bissell did. This vacuum is also quieter than the Bissell, which is a nice plus. This vacuum is also easier to clean than the Bissell which is extremely important to me as I have three large dogs with tons of fur. The wand attachment works nicely and is a big improvement over the Bissell. Now for some of the negatives, the debris storage container is too small, especially compared to the Bissell. I have to dump this one twice as many times. The roller bar claims to be one of those "hair free" roller bars. This is simply not true, if you look on their instructional videos it shows how you need to cut the hair off with a pair of scissors, then simply pull the hair out. The "power" is just ok, seems like I still have to go over the same area a few times to get the area clean. Overall it's a fine vacuum, I'm just not overly impressed. When this one finally dies I don't think I will replace it with the same brand like I did with the Bissell. I know I've mentioned the Bissell through out my review, however my last one really under performed which is why I made the switch. Not sure what direction I will go the next time.

I'm hesitant to give this a review so early. I had the older model and had nothing but issues with it for the three years. We finally gave up on it and bought a Dyson, but that didn't work for us so we are trying this one. As of today it's doing ok we are having issues with using it on carpet we had plush carpet in one room and we can't start in that room or the rollers stop. fingers crossed it keeps working but we did get the geek squad protection just in case.

This unit serves the purpose, but disappointed for the price the tools needed for cleaning blinds or ceiling fan blades didnt come with this unit. Also suction on hardwoods seemed a bit weak. Lift away seemed heavier and base is too flimsy to steer under furniture. Ive had Shark for many years and lots missing for this price. Couldve gotten a much cheaper unit from Shark.

Absolutely amazing!!!!! My family and I are hard on vacuums and this has not going held up well still continues to be such an amazing job. Be aware and conscious of cleaning it out as directed. First to get tall and Dusty at 10 not give 100%. The first time I spent a large amount of money on a vacuum and I do not regret it one bit!!
