We have owned this air purifier for about 2 weeks and so far we are very pleased with our purchase. It was easy to set up and runs really quiet. Would definitely recommend.

We replaced our Dyson Air Purifier with the Shark product and within days noticed the quality of our inside air is better, especially with a large dog!! Purchase this product, you won't go wrong!

Been using my purify for one week and am very impressed. When I cook sometime food smells linger for a day or 2 in the house. The purifier has worked so good and eliminates smells within one hour after I cook.

I like my shark air purifier! so far I can tell a difference its a bit pricey but I like all Shark products so far.

I have been using the Shark BreatheClear MAX by NeverChange Air Purifier in my living room, and it has been wonderful. Since setting it up, my daughter’s allergic reactions have greatly reduced, and the air in the room feels much cleaner and crisper. It is reassuring to know that it delivers powerful HEPA-exceeding purification without the hassle of constant filter replacements. The fact that the NeverChange filtration can last up to six years makes it even more convenient and cost-effective. One of my favorite features is the BreatheClear operating system, which features a high-resolution LCD screen that shows real-time air quality readings. I like being able to see exactly what is happening in the air and know that the purifier is actively responding. Its advanced sensors constantly scan the air and automatically adjust power when they detect smoke, dust, pollen, dander, odors, or other airborne irritants. The smart motion and light detection are also a great touch because they boost purification when there is activity and dim the display in low light, which is perfect for a comfortable nighttime setting. I am writing this review for the Shark BreatheClear MAX by NeverChange Air Purifier. Shark (Shark Ninja) is one of my favorite brands of appliances and other products. I have owned and enjoyed a multitude of their products over the years including cookware, food processors, convection ovens and drink machines. I am constantly bragging about a Ninja food processor I have owned for 20 years that is still working like it was brand new. I say all that to say I knew the BreatheClear MAX was absolutely going to be a good choice… and I was right. For any of us who have owned air purifiers before, the biggest question is always, “Is it quiet?” You can have the best purifier in the entire universe, but if it is noisy, it isn’t worth having. This was the very first thing I checked out with the BreatheClear. And I am both happy and excited that it is indeed quiet. Super quiet. If not for the occasional boost when it encounters particulates, I wouldn’t even know it was here. Now don’t get me wrong, when the TV and everything else is turned off, and the house is dead quiet, you can hear the fan, but even then it is super quiet. And now that I have the most important part out of the way, let me get to the rest of this review. Unpacking and setup is a breeze. There is nothing complicated, and in reality, it is as simple as you can get. There is a QR code to scan that will assist you through the entire process, and if not for the 5 or 6 minute calibration phase, the setup would take only a couple of minutes. I love the design of the BreatheClear MAX. It is quite minimalist and sculptural in its appearance. Its neutral ‘Dove’ color allows it to fit in anywhere. Its actually quite stylish, and in spite of its intentional simplicity, it is also quite modern-looking. At first glance you can’t help but wonder, “Wow, what is that?!” The display is very crisp, clear, and easy to read. The controls, located on the top of the machine are natural and don’t require much (if any) of a learning curve. Access to the pre-filters (one on each side) is easy…the side panels are attached using magnets and come off with an easy tug. The pre-filters are obviously quite well-made and appear to be extremely durable. The unit itself is right at 24” tall, and a little over 12” in diameter, and weighs right at 15lbs, so it is easily moveable. I have been using the BreatheClear MAX for several days now, and I’ve been truly impressed at how well it is working. The air in my house in noticeably cleaner smelling. The unit has a built-in motion sensor for detecting movement that might kick up dust and other particles, a shaking dog, or whatever. Pretty ingenious, really. All in all, I am wholly and completely happy with the Shark - BreatheClear™ MAX by NeverChange Air Purifier. It’s quiet, quite aesthetic, and well-built. It has already made a noticeable difference in the quality of the air in my home, and with a filter lifespan of 5 to 6 years, I am looking forward to having it in my house for a long time to come. This is one product I will be highly recommending to my friends and family.

Setup is incredibly simple and you don’t even really have to read the instructions to get going. Basically remove a few pieces of tape (they were even kind enough to fold over an end so you can easily grasp it) that were used to secure panels during shipping, remove the main filter from the plastic bag, turn it on and let it go. This is also one of those rare devices these days that doesn’t immediately direct you to install their app to continue. Welcome relief! I was initially skeptical that the BreathClear (Auto) mode was more than gimmicky marketing, but it didn’t take long to realize it’s legit. The first day it was pretty stable at 95-100% so the fan speed was low enough to be almost undetectable. Then we decided to cook some bacon in the oven over the weekend, which usually produces just a bit of smoke - barely noticeable and definitely not enough to trigger the smoke alarms. About 10 minutes into the cook, we hear the Shark BreatheClear MAX fan really spin up and see the air quality display drop down to around 20%. So any doubt that the Shark could actually monitor the air quality disappeared completely. Over the course of the next 30-60 minutes, the fan gradually stepped down in speed as the air quality monitor went up. Generally, sound level is quite low. Even when the air quality fluctuates down to 70-80%, the fan is hardly noticeable. We have our purifier in the corner of our living room, and the sound level doesn’t impact conversations or TV watching. The only time we’ve really noticed the fan is that one time we had cooked bacon. Even then, it was still quieter than a typical box fan. Another nice feature is Sleep Mode. In Sleep Mode, the fan speed is set to low, the display turns off, and sounds are muted. That being said, I’ve not really noticed many sounds anyway, so it’s not like it’s constantly making sounds normally. Sleep Mode can either be scheduled or manually invoked by holding the BreatheClear button for a few seconds. It’s also extremely low maintenance. The primary HEPA filter has a claimed lifespan of up to 6 years, so you may never have to change a filter. There are also two pre-filters that may need to be cleaned (NOT replaced) every couple of months. But that’s as simple as removing the pre-filters and quickly hitting them with a vacuum and/or wiping them off with a cloth. Simple and quick. Overall, I’ve been pleasantly surprised. It’s been quieter than I first feared and it actually works. Might even pick up another one for our cabin.
