A Pet Owner’s Best Friend
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a pet owner and someone who values a clean home, finding the right carpet cleaner has always been a priority for me. Design and Build Quality - Shark CarpetXpert HairPro boasts a sleek and modern design. Its sturdy build gives an impression of durability, which is essential for a device that will be used frequently. The cleaner is relatively heavy, but this weight contributes to its robust feel and stability during use. The ergonomic handle and intuitive controls make it easy to maneuver, even in tight spaces. This feature is designed to tackle tough stains and pet hair with ease. The high-speed brush roll and powerful suction work together to lift dirt and debris from deep within the carpet fibers. Additionally, the built-in spot and stain remover is a game-changer for those unexpected spills and accidents. Another notable feature is the high-pressure spray.. This ensures that cleaning solution is evenly distributed across the carpet, enhancing the overall cleaning performance. The cleaner also comes with a variety of attachments, including a pet hair tool and an upholstery brush, making it versatile enough to handle different cleaning tasks around the house. In terms of performance, the Shark CarpetXpert HairPro exceeds expectations. During my testing, it effectively removed pet hair, dirt, and stains from my carpets. The high-speed brush roll agitates the carpet fibers, loosening embedded dirt, while the powerful suction ensures that everything is lifted away. The result is a noticeably cleaner and fresher carpet… Despite its powerful performance, Shark CarpetXpert HairPro is surprisingly easy to use. The controls are straightforward, and the cleaner glides smoothly over carpets. The large water tank means fewer trips to refill, and the transparent design allows you to see when it needs to be emptied. The attachments are easy to switch out, and the cleaner's overall design makes maintenance a breeze. One aspect that pleasantly surprised me was the noise level. While no carpet cleaner is completely silent, the Shark CarpetXpert HairPro operates at a relatively low noise level compared to other models I've used. This makes it more comfortable to use for extended periods, and it's less likely to disturb other household members or pets. Considering its performance and features, the Shark CarpetXpert HairPro offers excellent value for money. It is priced competitively with other high-end carpet cleaners, but its superior cleaning capabilities and additional features make it a worthwhile investment. The durability and build quality also suggest that it will last for many years, providing long-term value.

Worthless, expensive shampooer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the shampooer last week spin quite a bit of money this week. I figured I would buy the shark vacuum that was $400+$. Just use the shampooer tonight. It is the biggest piece of crap I’ve ever used. There’s no weight on the head of the unit so it does not have enough weight to shampoo. It does not suck up any of the water we had to put a 4 pound weight on it to make it suck up or anything worst investment ever returning in the morning, would not purchase this if I were you makes me worried about my $400 vacuum bill.

A great alternative to pricey pro carpet cleaning
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I normally use professional carpet cleaning services, but over the last few years, the cost of that has more than doubled. That prompted me to look for a more economical DIY option. I came across this Shark CarpetXpert and based on previous good experience with Shark products, I decided to give it a try. I had owned a home carpet cleaner over 20 years ago, so I was excited to see how modern technology would compare. The first thing I noticed about the Shark CarpetXpert is its compact size and light weight. It’s about the same size as my upright vacuum cleaner, and weighs about the same, too. I can easily lift it with on hand. I comes with a plastic base tray for sitting the cleaner on when storing it. That’s a great feature so that any residual moisture is contained. It also has spots on it to store the extra tools that were included. Overall, the construction of the CarpetXpert seems to be of good quality and the attachments, hose and cord are well-place. Filling the two solution reservoirs is easy. They both are simply lifted from the machine, and they have check valves to prevent drip and leaks. The main solution reservoir had clearly visible lines showing how much to fill with water and then with cleaning solution. The Oxy Multiplier reservoir gets filled with undulated solution made specifically for the CarpetXpert. My only small complaint about filling is that main reservoir is hard to hold while under the faucet. Some extra grip areas or indentions would make it easier. My first task was to clean some carpet that was very dirty. It had already been cleaned a year ago professionally, but it was sill stained. I first used the handheld attachments with the Oxy Multiplier to “pre-treat” the area. That worked fairly well, but it was still dingy. I then used the machine in upright mode to finish the job. As instructed, I moved it slowly and passed over each section twice. The machine only sprays solution when pushed forward. That makes it easy to adjust how much solution is used by varying the speed of moving it forward. Pushing more slowly results in more solution being sprayed on the carpet. Pulling it back only suctions the water, so again, if you need more suction, just move more slowly. Next to the power button is another button that switches to dry-only mode so no solution is sprayed in either direction. This helps pull more water from the carpet and makes it dry faster. I was very happy with the results. The Shark CarpetXpert removed much more dirt even after this area had been professionally cleaned. It did take a good bit of “elbow grease” on my hands and knees using the tools, but it was worth it. The carpet is at least 90% cleaner that before I started and even better than what the professional cleaners did. Using the Shark CarpetXpert is simple, and cleanup is also fairly easy. The dirty water catch reservoir is easy to remove and empty, though it does take a brush or cloth to clean debris like pet hair from it. Also, the beater head has to be cleaned and though there is a cleaning cycle, it’s best to remove the cover and clean it by hand. Overall, I like the CapertXpert and I do recommend it. I would like to see a few things changed, though. As I mentioned before, the cleaner solution reservoir is hard to hold when filling. Also, the cord seems to always be in the way when trying to remove or store the tool hose. Finally, I like the idea of the Oxy Multiplier, but it only works with the tools – none of that solution is used in upright mode. I’d really like to see a feature where the Oxy Multiplier can be sprayed while in normal cleaning mode. Other than these minor criticisms, I really like this carpet cleaner and I think it’s a good value.

Cleans and Dries Carpets & Upholstery Like a Pro
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over 30 plus years I’ve rented and owned several carpet cleaners and the CarpetXpert HairPro is the most versatile and best performing so far. It’s heavy, which may help it clean deeper. I would not want to carry it up down more steps than needed. But despite the weight, it moves well once the power is on. Sort of like a self-propelled lawn mower does. The solution spray is powerful to clean deep. The brush does indeed spin extremely fast as stated, and the suction is extremely powerful. After the cleaning passes I have an extra pass of suction, but there was very little solution left to pull up, the first suction pass did get just about all of it, not much to gain with extra passes. The carpet felt just a bit damp when and was dry for the most part in just a few hours, vs. a day or more that I’ve experienced with lesser machines. I cleaned a recliner, and it worked especially well at this. Thanks to the spectacular suction sucking the spent solution and dirt out, the chair was perfectly clean and dry enough to use when I tried it in the evening. The carpet I did was also extremely clean and dry. One stain from long ago other machines could not fully remove permanently just disappeared. Often when bad stains are cleaned, they come back, though a bit lighter, after the carpet dries. This one had done that before. After three days, there is still no trace of it. It seems to be gone for good. The StainStriker technology mixes two unique chemicals on contact to unleash the power of OXY for 20x more stain-striking power, and it works amazingly well, even on this old stain other machines could not clean completely. Cleaning some machines after the job can sometimes take as long as the job and be a messy process. It always made me dread carpet cleaning. But not with the CarpetXpert HairPro. The on-board self-cleaning feature cleans the attached tool and hose in seconds with no extra attachments or reconfiguring. Dump the tanks, give them a rinse and you are done. The easy self-cleaning is truly easy and removes the biggest hassle I always hated, and one that kept me postponing carpet cleaning. I found the performance, ease of use and cleaning to be outstanding, much better than any other machine I’ve used in the past. I was really amazed just how well it worked. Whether you have pets, kids, or just like clean carpets and upholstery without allot of hassle and time spent, the CarpetXpert HairPro is the machine to get. Good news is you don’t need a pet or child to get one, so just get one.

Good carpet unit
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been needing a new carpet cleaner for a while. My old model is starting to have a few issues with keeping suction up. It is from another major manufacturer of vacuum and carpet products, and has served me well for 10 years. I picked this because it functions much like the old unit with separate clean water and dirty water tanks. It also has a separate dry only cycle. This also runs solution on pushing forward and suction only on pull back, sucking up the cleaning solution. One thing I see that is different on this and intriguing is the oxygenation formulation separate tank that adds an extra cleansing power. Otherwise, the set up is same and operational the same. This is a solid unit and build is fairly sturdy. The weight is comparable to other units. The suction is actually much better than my previous 3 units I have had, much more than my current one had new. This really does a good job of nearly drying when done with the suction. What I really really like with this, is that you can pull the roller out and clean the whole pathway below and untangle the hairs that may have wound around the roller, which are not many. It has a separate strainer in the tank to try and collect the hair also, which is nice with my pets. The cleaning with their formula with oxygenation is good, but even without and using some of my old solutions, this works well. That being said, I do think their specific solutions do work a bit better. The attachments all work well for upholstery or on small spots. The crevis fine detailing unit is nice for spots in tight places, like couch cushion corners. Overall, the price on this is competitive, and so far, I think this is my best home carpet cleaner that I have worked with. I owned 2 others from one brand that one broke, one I loaned out and never got back, and the other brand that I am using now but I'm going to send to pasture. I would recommend this item without hesitation.

Excellent carpet cleaner from an excellent brand
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used a handful of more budget-oriented carpet cleaners in the past, and they have worked fine for the most part. This new Shark CarpetXpert has been dream in comparison. The clean and dirty water tanks are easy to attach, detach, fill, and empty. Initial assembly is also straightforward and very simple right out of the box. There are not a ton of parts to find and attach to the carpet cleaner, which is great for first-time use. I find the weight of the carpet cleaner to be perfectly maneuverable, and there are grab points on it for carrying it up and down the stairs. One feature I really enjoy is that there is no solution button. If you push it forward, solution comes out. When you pull it back towards you, it stops the spray and allows you to suck up any moisture. You can also disable the spray completely so it only sucks up moisture, which is nice for final passes and drying your carpet as much as possible. After that, you will need to let the rest air dry like usual. This device and the included cleaning solutions have done wonders on my living room carpet, and I highly recommend this carpet cleaner.

Perfect Carpet Cleaner for Golden Retiever Lovers
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everyone knows that pets can be extremely hard on floors and especially carpets. I have not one but two gold retrievers, and they are definitely a good test for something like the Shark CapetXpert HairPro Pet with StainStriker Carpet Cleanter and Pet Stain Remover. There is no denying that we love our pets and forgive their occasional mishaps, but we also want our carpets to look nice. Thankfully, the Shark Carper Cleaner does not disappoint. Out of the box, it is easy to assemble. For the most part, I just had to put the handle on and attach the hose. That was it. Inside the box, there is also some cleaning solution as well as a few accessories to help with cleaning. The instructions on how to clean using this device are easy to follow. It may help though to watch a YouTube video showing how it works if you prefer. Basically though, as you move the machine forward in deep clean mode, the solution sprays out. When you pull the machine in reverse, it sucks up the solution with the dirt. I feel the first thing I should point out though is this is not a vacuum cleaner. You will want to use a vacuum cleaner to get up as much as you can off the floor, before you start using the CarpetXpert. This will save you a lot of time later down the line. The CarpetXpert is really there to pull up the dirt. Now with golden retrievers, some of those hairs are down in the carpet. The CarpetXpert will get those. But still try to get it up before this step. In any case, you fill up the cleaning tank with water and the cleaning solution. Then you begin cleaning. I found you cannot go too quickly over the carpet. It does take a bit of time to really get the solution down and to clean. My carpets were a good test for this. I had my carpets installed five years ago and the carpets were never cleaned. Using this machine really pulled up old pet and food stains from the carpet. I was shocked at how well this system worked. It really made my carpets look close to new again. Even where the dog likes to sleep all the time looked great. Now in my review, I did give the system 5 stars. There were a couple of things I would have given it only 3 or 4 stars on though. First, the cleaning solution tanks are very small. If you want to use this machine to clean a whole room, you may need to use more than one tank. The solution can come out very quickly, and you will use up the fluid before the room is done. Of course, the supply that came with the system only will allow you to fill the tank 4 or 5 times, so you will likely not be able to use it on your whole house without getting more. The second item I had an issue with is how fast the system can become clogged and will stop working. Here is where that part about getting up all the hair before you use it comes in. There is a filter which catches all the hair that gets pulled up by the machine. Once enough of it fills up in the filter, the machine will stop until it is emptied. With golden retrievers, this happens quickly. I suspect this will become less of an issue over time as the machine is used more than once every five years, but it is still an issue. However, even with these negatives, I love the machine too much to give it less than 5 stars. I absolutely loved the way my carpets looked after using this. The drain water came out looking brown. I couldn’t believe that all came from my carpet. The machine also does a good job of pulling up the solution from the carpet. For the most part, the carpet was only mildly damp when I finished. I could walk on the carpet with my socks on after using the machine, and I could barely tell. Certainly after 15 minutes and a ceiling fan running, it was dry. The last part of the machine that I was impressed with was how easy it was to clean. Even part of the machine is really designed to be accessible and cleaned. The rollers are easy to get to. The filters for the most part only need you to rinse them out and let them dry. It works wonderfully. The hardest part for me now is figuring out where to store it. It is not an everyday or even once a week type machine to use. But I certainly want to use it often. In the end, I love the Shark CapetXpert HairPro Pet with StainStriker Carpet Cleanter and Pet Stain Remover. It cleaned parts of my carpet that I didn’t think would even get clean. It even pulled up blue Kool Aid from the carpet to the point I couldn’t even tell where it was. This machine is great. I recommend it for anyone looking for a personal carpet cleaner. And for golden retriever owners, this is a must.

Professional Quality Cleaning
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark CarpetXpert HairPro Pet with StainStriker, Corded Upright Deep Carpet, Rug and Upholstery Cleaner, Pet Stain Remover is a phenomenal carpet and stain cleaner. It arrived very well packed inside the retail box, so not worries about any damage in transit. It was very easy to setup. Once setup I began to clean my living room and hallway. I have two cats and two dogs, so you can probably imagine that there are going to be faint stains from hairballs or accidents no matter how well you try to hand clean effected area. Also, my front door is in the living room, and we get a lot of traffic through it. We usually try to carpet clean once or twice a year because we have a light colored carpet. We were due, so this was a perfect opportunity to try out the Shark CarpetXpert HairPro Pet with StainStriker. I first setup the solution to clean. It's nice they give you enough cleaning solution to clean a couple small rooms and try the StainStriker out. I first hit the stains with the StainStriker and the attachment with a brush and it worked very well. Maybe too well, because it completely removed the stains, but also left super clean carpet, which basically made me have to clean the entire area to match it, lol. Using the carpet cleaner is very simple, you push forward and the CarpetXprt Pro automatically applies the solution, while pulling back on the carpet cleaner cleans and sucks up to dirty solution. You can also press a button to only dry when moving in any direction. This is very handy to remove as much of the extra cleaning solution as possible. After going over the living room in one pass, I was amazed how clean in was. It came so much cleaner than I expected. My old carpet cleaner would take a couple of passes to get this clean. It was so clean that I noticed the hallway could also use some attention. In my opinion, the CarpetXpert HairPro Pet with StainStriker cleans just as good, of not better than a professional machine that you can rent. I was so impressed I immediately purchased more Shark Deep Clean Pet Formula so that I could do the rest of the house. Also, Shark made the CarpetXpert HairPro easy to clean up when you're finished carpet cleaning. The included base is a very nice touch. It hold all of the attachments, and also protects the floor while the CarpetXpert HairPro is drying after use. I'm very impressed with this carpet cleaner and would highly recommend it.
