Couple of months in and it doesn’t work. Just cut out after 5 mins. Came back on briefly then died again. Charging not helping.

The Shark Cordless Pro Vacuum with Clean Sense IQ technology is another great vacuum in the long line of excellent products offered by Shark. I love my corded Shark vacuum but I was intrigued when I came across this cordless Shark vacuum. I haven’t really used any sort of cordless vacuum since I was a kid when we used to have a small rechargeable hand vacuum for small jobs. From what I remember, that old tiny thing we used to have didn’t have much power and it never seemed to last long enough to get the job done. Thoughts of this old vacuum went through my head when considering this new Shark Cordless Pro Vacuum and I was initially a little hesitant to trust another cordless vacuum but I have grown to love Shark’s range of products and figured it was worth giving this cordless vacuum a chance and I am sure glad I did! To start, assembling the unit was very easy and straightforward. I always read through the instruction manuals when I receive new products but I believe anyone can easily figure out how it goes together pretty quickly without any sort of instructions. One thing to note that was specifically mentioned in the manual was to fully charge the battery before using the vacuum for the first time and then make sure you fully deplete the battery the first time you use it to condition the battery. This is somewhat common with rechargeable devices nowadays but some people may not be aware of it and given how easy it is to assemble this vacuum, many people may skip reviewing the manual altogether and they will miss this important bit of information. Once I had fully charged the battery and began using the vacuum, I was pleasantly surprised by how powerful it is. My initial worries and memories of the old handheld vacuum were instantly sucked away along with everything else this new Shark vacuum came in contact with. The Clean Sense IQ technology is an interesting feature and although I didn’t really come up with a way to truly test whether the reading the vacuum was giving was accurate in terms of how dirty a particular area was, I have no reason to doubt that it really was sensing the area and applying the appropriate power needed to clean each area. One other thing I would like to specifically mention is how fluid and maneuverable this vacuum is. The pivot head on the base makes maneuvering this vacuum so easy, especially since there is not cord to ever hold you back. I did not officially time the life of the battery but it seemed to last at least as long as advertised which was also very pleasing as 40 minutes is more than enough time for most jobs which are easier to do with a cordless vacuum. Overall, I am very impressed with the Shark Cordless Pro Vacuum with Clean Sense IQ technology and I highly recommend it!

This is our second Shark vacuum cleaner that we have gotten from Best Buy. Sadly, I had gotten the last one a little too wet and so it was making some god-awful noise. In my haste to find out why I accidentally broke a few pieces that did not need to be broken. So, it was time for a new one. Luckily it was no time when I had the opportunity for us to get this vacuum. I must say that our previous Shark was insanely more powerful...like slinging the rug across the floor power on the self-propelled wheels, but I can't really complain too terribly much because it still picks up everything that we have needed this one too. I just wish it was a tad more powerful in the self-moving wheels and the suction. If you have never had a Shark or I suppose any upright stick vacuums whether it was this one with the cordless functionality or the previous corded Shark that we had, neither of them would sit upright unless you unhooked the vacuum from the stick. Surely this could be counter-balanced by some weights in the base, but I do not want to have to do this myself when I feel it should be done from the factory. If the manufacturer can solve a) the power of the wheels and the power as far as suction, b) extend the battery life just a bit more and c) solve for the not sitting upright unless disassembled I do not think I would ever move away from the upright stick vacuum or the Shark brand ever again! I have done an extended test to test out the fragrance/odor neutralizing piece that they have on offer for this model. I can say it has lasted almost the entire month I am a few days shy, but it is still going) and that is with us having 2 pets and using it every few days in short durations. Will the fragrance pods be a gimmick like the toilet seats by a certain large company are? Or will it be here to stay? I am not sure...sadly I bought one of those toilet seats, but we ended up going with a heated one not long after (amazing if I must say so myself). Anyway, I digress. So, the vacuum and the fragrance of the pod is holding up strong so far for the better part of almost a month. I was pleasantly surprised & we are all super happy with the Shark Cordless Pro Vacuum so far in my house! All in all, though we are extremely happy & are super pleased with our new vacuum. Thank you to Shark for making such a solid vacuum-it just needs a couple minor changes (in my opinion) to go from great to perfect! But if you can get over those quirks then this is definitely your next vacuum! Oh, and emptying the dust bin is a breeze with a single click of a button! Even easier than our last model!

First of all it looked like it was used and second it would not turn on. I have had my other Shark Vacuum for over 10 years. Guess that doesn’t say much about the newer models.

First thing I noticed about the Shark Cordless was the weird beater it had. Instead of the normal brush it was felt or velvet roller with fins to assist in the beating. Seems like a neat idea, but I'm not sure how much of an improvement over the traditional bristles it offers. On hard floors the beater works wonderfully and doesn't knock debris around like other vacuums do. On carpets I'm not sure it agitates enough to coax the deeper lying dirt. It does a good job, but with a normal bristle it would have done a better job. The one pro of the beater is that it's doesn't have cat hair or strings sticking to it like the bristles do. Battery life is far improved over the older Shark vacuum I have. The old one would go for 15-20min where the new Cordless Pro can go double that depending on the surface. The IQ does speed up and down as it senses extra dirt. I'm not sure how it does it, but it works as I'd expect it to. Now to the Odor Neutralizer Cartridge. I thought this was some kind of gimmick to put you on a "subscription" model but it's actually quite inexpensive and offers a decent air freshening. You spray the room and clean the floors in one go. It's not the most powerful cordless vacuum I own, but it's good enough for quick jobs and far easier to carry around than the bigger model I have.

This super lightweight vacuum makes cleaning our bamboo floors and rugs a breeze! Unfortunately, it is much louder than our old corded vacuum. It actually sounds more like heavy machinery than a vacuum so if white noise bothers you this may not be the right choice. I do love that the weight is distributed towards the top so it’s very easy to push around. The turning maneuver is a bit tricky, but once you get the hang of it it’s quite easy. I love the low profile of the vacuum head, which gets under all of our cabinets in the kitchen no problem and leaves them sparkling clean. The Ecosense mode works well and it’s easy to transition from wood flooring to carpet and back again without accidentally pulling up your rugs. The lights on the front of the vacuum make it easy to see dust and dirt that may have otherwise gone unnoticed, though I do wish there was a third one in the center instead of just two on the sides. Overall, this is a game changing cleaning product and will make maintaining our home so much easier than having a corded vacuum that we have to plug in and then remove in order to vacuum every room.

So I might be a little bit biased because my first cordless vacuum was a Shark and I freaking LOVED that thing. My current one is a Dyson which I would actually consider the standard of cordless vacuums. It is getting old with inevitable wear and tear, so I was happy to get the Shark Cordless Pro with Clean Sense IQ. Right out of the box, it feels premium and clean. I put it to the test right away. In terms of aesthetic, I would give the Shark the edge. It feels much more simple and minimalistic in my eyes. In terms of portability, I really like how the Shark folds. It does become "shorter" in a sense making it more easy to store. The most important thing is the performance. So in terms of cleaning performance, I really don't think that there is a huge difference between the Dyson and Shark which is a compliment to Shark in my eyes. The Shark does a good job with even the stubborn pet hair on the carpet. Emptying is very satisfying. Cleaning the unit is also easy with disassembly into individual cleanable parts. All in all, I am very happy with the Shark Cordless Pro. I can easily use it as my primary vacuum with its suction power and performance.

So I am not a fan of eco modes normally, but I have a 3 year old that has decided that he loves to vacuum. In eco mode he can vacuum for a good hour and he will usually tire out before the vacuum does. With as many times as he goes over the same area it does do a pretty decent job in eco mode as well. There are two other modes, IQ and max. The max mode just gives you all the power and really goes to work, by the time I vacuum I pretty much need this mode. The IQ mode I felt like was a little slow ( or maybe I should be slowing down my vacuuming). It did pick up on the dirt and does work but I’d rather just leave it in max mode. But the option is there. I love how the vacuum stores, the top detaches and then attaches to a hook near the bottom so it is bottom heavy instead of top heavy. Though charging isn’t anything special (no mounting plate or anything like that). One feature that I like is the air freshener pod, it leaves a very faint freshness smell (faint here being good) to the room or area you vacuumed. Pros: Long battery life Multiple modes Can be bottom heavy and compact for storage Works great Cons: No charging stand No clips for accessories

Absolute waste of money - Shark is junk now

I bought this because I have a 15 year old Shark vacuum I bought that was amazing and probably the best vacuum I've ever owned. So I thought this would be good to. WRONG Suction is absolutely terrible. When its not clogged, which is practically never, it might suck up half the dirt and debris on the floor. Major design flaw because the suction tube is very narrow and also not smooth so most of the hair it sucks up gets stuck in the ribs of the tube blocking the entire passage way. So I spend more time turning if off and getting hair clogs out of the tube than I do vacuuming. What good does a head that does not clog do if you just moved it further up the chain to the tube? The filters on this are tiny and get so dirty every time you use it that you must take the unit apart and clean the filters otherwise it will not suck, overheat, and shut off. There are also filters, they dont tell you about, built into the head unit and you cannot remove. You have to have a high powered compressed air blower and blow that thing out on a regular basis or the unit will just not suck and overheat. You will not understand what is going on because you have cleaned the 2 removable filters they tell you about and the unit still will not work. Then you get desperate and start blowing the entire unit out with high pressure air and realize there is a built in filter to the head you cannot remove and it has to be cleaned too. The unit constantly shuts itself off because of "over heating". Even when using the auto and eco modes. If you try to use any attachment other than the head, say like the small brushes for hand use, the unit overheats and shuts off in less than 20 seconds. I bought this in October 2023 and the battery has already swelled, leaked, and stopped working. I called support today and they are sending me a new battery but the shipping is $20. Thats a freaking joke for such a small package and they are clearly subsidizing my battery warranty with "shipping costs". Shark has lost me as a customer forever. I've wasted almost $300 on a useless piece of junk that I spend more time cleaning and unclogging than I do using. And the 5-10 minutes I do get to use it the thing barely sucks anything up.

Although this is a very pretty vacuum I returned it after 2 weeks. The battery did not last long maybe 15 minutes. The suction was not great as well I had to keep vacuuming over the same spot at least 3xs. I personally like the Shark Vertex Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins. I purchased one 3 years ago and bought another for my downstairs so I wouldn’t have to carry it since it is heavy. I really wanted to like this one but unfortunately it didn’t meet my needs.
