The battery does not last long and after you finish vacuuming, a little bit of dirt/dust falls back out after you turn if off. I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because it started off good for about 1 week before the problems started. Consider another vacuum!

My one complaint is the power button, there seems to be a delay when i press it to when the vacuum engages. A friend borrowed it and she wants to purchase one.

Don't buy a Shark

I just returned a Shark Rotator that failed after just two uses, and decided to upgrade to this model. I will be returning this one tomorrow. Not only is the description deceptive (you don't get the docking station) but this thing is completely useless. I can't charge it. They put the wrong charger in the box!! Both the battery and the charger have male connections, so it is impossible to plug it in. Even if they provided the correct parts, read the other reviews. The battery is garbage. You will only get 5 to 10 minutes off a fully charged battery. No thank you Shark. You've had 2 strikes in a row and I don't dare try for a third. I'm going back to Bissell.

On carpets it wasn't as great as hoped. The motor picks up on carpet and does an OK job. It just didn't match our expectations. Great in every other way though

It boasts four different technologies - dirt detect, floor detect, edge detect, and light detect. The dirt detect feature increases suction if it encounters an especially dirty area. The floor detect automatically adjusts the suction based on the type of floor - more for carpet and less for hardwood. I really like this feature because I have the habit of using one type of stick vacuum for hardwood and another for carpet. This eliminates my need for two machines. The edge detect increases suction when it is up against a wall/baseboard. The suction increases on the side closest to the wall so no more leftover dust bunnies. The light detect feature automatically adjusts the LED lights based on its surroundings and increases in low light areas. The lights even shift from one side to the other in conjunction with the edge detection. Battery life is impressive - up to 40 minutes on a single charge. I was able to vacuum our entire main level (about 1400 square feet) with no loss of power. It also recharges quickly. It's easy to empty and although the bin is small in size, it holds a surprising amount. The compact size also makes it easy to store since it doesn't take up much space. The handle is removable and attaches to the stick when not in use. Conversion to a hand-vac is as simple as removing the "stick". It utilizes HEPA filtration and anti-allergen technology to help clean the air when in use. The Shark Detect Pro is a great vacuum that easily competes with other more expensive brands. Leave it to Shark to provide a quality product at a great price!

Great to clean up the kids snacks it’s left over on the floor.

It does not work well on any carpeted areas or rugs. And its horrendous at picking up pet hair. It more or less rolls it into a ball and leaves it all over. The battery is terrible, on a full charge it lasts maybe 15 minutes at most. I do NOT recommend this product. Save your money and go with something else.
