Overall the vacuum works great. We have 2 dogs that shed non stop and this picks up pet hair really well. It works extremely well on hard floors and pretty good on carpet. My only complaints are that it was missing the pet attachment and head his really small.

This was such a welcome surprise vacuum!! I thought my Bissell Lift Off was a great vacuum when I purchased it years ago, but this Shark powered Lift-Away blows that away!! Not only is it much lighter but so much easier to maneuver too. Pros: Light weight, amazing suction - especially with cat fur, quiet, variable carpet/floor levels, great attachments, nice size dust cup, washable filters, very long 30' cord! Cons: hmm only one is that it was a little more than I anticipated putting it together - many pieces. The directions are ok but could be better! The first time I used it was in my family room that has a thick high pile carpet - and I have a cat that loves to roll around the carpet. I truly thought that my carpet was fairly clean and free of fur with using my Bissell.... oh no!! This Shark is amazing and the cup was full with fur!! I used it in Lift-Away mode on the steps and it was so easy and thorough, however I would have liked the hose part to be just a little longer. Maybe with use it will loosen up a little and give/stretch some. The dust cup was easy to remove and empty. I love the feel of the vacuum of being easy to push and very flexible in movement.. Have never been happier owning a vacuum - now I don't mind vacuuming so much ;-)

I thought I would never pay anywhere near $300 for a vacuum and I'm sure your saying the exact same thing right now. I have to confess this vacuum made a believer out of me as soon as you use it the first time it will make a believer out of you too. So if your looking for the best stop looking at the rest you will not regret your decision.

I wish I had this vacuum years ago! I had a Riccar and I thought it did an ok job, emptied a bag every so often. This vacuum gets so much dirt out of my old carpet that I thought it was clean. I wish it came with an extra set of filters but those were easy to get. I love my SHARK and will NEVER buy another brand.

This unit is good on carpet, wood, or tile. It picks up everything - small or large. I chose the model with the narrow rather than wider brush roll because it gets into smaller spaces. A wand detaches easily for corners. Emptying is easy. When parts are detached, they snap back in place with a positive fit.

The updates to this model are great! Very easy to use.
