Anything cheaper than this price point would not be worth the investment. Any thing higher would not be needed to achieve a great result. I was very happy with the speed and ease of styling. The only quality issue is that some of the black bristles have come out of the brush heads, but nothing too extreme. I love it and am so happy I purchased it. It keeps my hair softer, safer, and gives it more volume than a traditional blow dry and straighten or curl. The waves fall in a natural way until you wash your hair.
