    Handy Do-It-All Machine!

With an all hardwood kitchen and living room that gets plenty of foot traffic with our family and dogs, we are a 'clean every day' kind of family. Our nightly routine included vacuuming the area with a stick vac and then using a padded wet-mop to mop the area. Not a huge time commitment, but certainly one that I'm open to making more efficient! Enter the Shark Hydrovac Cordless Pro XL 3-in-1! I'm always a little apprehensive of mopping devices with steep learning curves. This guy couldn't have been any easier! Set-up is a snap. Literally. I inserted the handle into the bottom and I was ready to go. The unit itself is so lightweight I couldn't believe how easy it was to push across the floor and lift back into the charging base. From what I can tell I can use any basic floor cleaner so we'll be using our regular floor concentrate and it's so convenient to take care of my vacuuming and mopping in one swipe! I find that the mop path is consistent and much drier immediately after a pass than the spray mop I had been using. The unit self cleans when you're done and there is an easy to empty water container that is almost unreal. We clean every day and yet the water is quite disgusting. One last note - props to Shark for the headlights. You don't always think about that on a vacuum or wet mop and they're VERY handy when cleaning under tables or counters. Well done! Must-have in any household!

Sweeping and mopping is a huge pain. I have a Neato D8 robot vacuum that I run twice a week. My floors are LVP. Even with running the D8 and vacuuming on the weekend, the floor is still very dirty when I mop. So I was hoping that this machine would help speed up this process. It does do a fairly good job of vacuuming and mopping at the same time. In regards to the mopping, it does a decent job of getting my floors clean. Just to see, I tried using my regular mop after using the Hydrovac. I was still able to pick up more dirt with the mop but not a huge amount. In fairness I also have a Hoover Floormate machine that cleans about the same amount but that machine is much harder to use and clean. With the Hydrovac, you simply charge it up, put water and cleaning fluid in it and get to work. My downstairs of my house is about 1,000 sf and the battery and cleaning fluid last just about that much. So the battery life isn't that good and I wish it held more fluid. I can't clean both upstairs and downstairs of my house on a single charge. The Hydrovac is motorized so it pulls the machine forward to make cleaning easy. However when you pull the machine backwards it tends to get a little squirrely. The Hydrovac is pretty manuverable and turns easily. Clean up is pretty easy. You just unsnap the recpetacle and spray it out and drain. But I did notice that the receptacle had a good bit of my wife's hair in it with no way to get it back out. I'm not sure but I would think that this dould become a problem in the future if it becomes clogged with hair. Bottom line is this machine does a pretty good job of cleaning and is easy to use and clean. Does it replace sweeping and mopping? I'm not so sure. Also I prefer to clean the brush by hand. The auto clean feature uses quite a bit of cleaning fluid.

This has changed my life. Seriously. If you have a toddler or a pet who sheds or heck even a husband you need this. I spilled a latte on the floor while unloading the dishwasher last night and literally just hydrovac’d it up. The floor was not sticky. I REPEAT THE FLOOR WAS NOT STICKY. It was amazing. I use it to clean up all kinds of toddler debris under his high chair and it sucks everything up like a breeze. Emptying it is easy but you may be disgusted with yourself by just how much hair and gunk it caught. I leave the inner parts to dry overnight on our counter. I love the self cleaning cycle that you do after each use. It lasts about 25 minutes. At first it wasn’t enough time to get all of my wood floors but I think I was going too slow and wasn’t trusting it’s abilities because now I can do all of our tile and wood no problem. Bedrooms are carpet and our house is about 2,000 sqft. Only negative (which is understandable bc it’s likely impossible to not have this problem) is that it misses moping and vacuuming 1 inch around all the borders of the room where the roller cannot reach. Love this! Life changing i swear

I don’t particularly enjoy mopping. A mop and bucket are archaic and pushing dirt around with a disposable wet towel doesn’t really get the job done. Shark’s HydroVac turns moping into a much cleaner and effective experience and also offers seamless cleaning of rugs at the same time. The clean solution reservoir is large enough to get through a single cleaning of my kitchen floor with the 2-minute self-cleaning cycle completed after in the stand. Diluting the provided solution is easily accomplished with easy-to-read markings on the reservoir. Removal and reinstallation of the clean and dirty reservoirs are easy and require little force. Operating is just as easy and only requires your foot to push the head down at first and a single button push to operate. The ease of removing the brush cover plate is really appreciated. It makes pulling longer hair out of the brush roll so much easier. Seamless transitioning from hard floors to rugs is such a nice feature. I have entry rugs at the back door that are generally hydrophobic, and area easily cleaned with this unit. You obviously can’t do that with a mop and bucket combo. Also, do not rely on this to do a deep cleaning on rugs. This is definitely meant for surface dirt removal only.

    Shark solid 3-in-1 Vacuum Mop

I'm a big of fan of Shark Ninja products because while they're not the best in class devices out there, they tend to bring the most recent expensive tech down to affordable prices for the masses. Generally you're going to see there are some limitations or some scaled back features on the Shark gadgets but overall the functionality is similar if not the same or better than more expensive competitors. This Shark 3-in-1 Pro Vacuum XL is similar to my previous Shark experiences. I already have a Vacuum mop previously that I really enjoy so I wanted to compare the Shark version. Here's what I found. 1. The materials on the Shark are not as high quality or premium as the more expensive competitor which is to be expected. The lights and LED readouts are not as high-tech and the charging and cleaning base in particular was not as substantial feeling compared to my other unit. 2. The clean and dirty water containers on the Shark were much smaller, maybe 1/3rd the capacity of my other unit. Interestingly however, it didn't seem like it had that big of an impact on the actual ability to clean and how many times I had to change the water. It seems like the Shark uses less water for similar results which is nice since constantly changing the dirty water tank and adding more water is time-consuming. 3. The brush cleaning head removal and design is not as good on the Shark. My other unit is easy to remove from the side without having to mess with a plastic enclosure. It is also designed so that the roller can go right up to the edge of a cabinet or baseboard. 4. Overall battery life was really good, I was able to clean my kitchen floor on one charge with 1 bar left. For light cleanup duty this will work great. If you have dirty dried on stains or messes, make sure you pre-treat with either hot/warm water mopped on or some kind of spray cleaner like power wash and let it sit before you come back with the Shark. 5. The self-propelled functionality is excellent, maybe even better than my other more expensive unit. You can feel it pulling forward and when pulling back it doesn't give much or any resistance. Really a nice difference with and without self-propelled. Overall very pleased with the unit and if you use it regularly it is something that will make a big difference in keeping your floors clean. Pair it up with a robo vacuum and have that clean up the big bits off the floor first and you have a winning combo.

--- SETUP --- The Shark HydroVac has a quick, no-tools-required assembly process. After assembly, charge it up and you’re good to go. --- FEATURES --- The 3 in 1 feature includes area rugs, hard floors, and a self cleaning system. It eliminates odors and the solution includes smells nice. Will leave temporary streaks that dry quickly. Wireless with charging base. --- PERFORMANCE AND EXPECTATIONS --- This vacuum is a great addition to any home or apartment. It doesn’t take much space and can happily live in a corner of any room, as all you need the base for is to charge the vacuum. Being wireless, you can quickly take it to any room, rug or hardfloor, that needs vacuuming. One of the things that I enjoy from this new Shark vacuum is that it moves forward on its own with just a small push, similar to corded vacuums. The receptacle that catches the debris is transparent. This helps determine when you need to throw away the contents, though the instructions do recommend you do so after every use. I tried the vacuum on my hardwood floors and as a mop, it really leaves the floors looking, feeling, and smelling clean. Next, I took the vacuum to my small carpeted office. Again, I could clearly see a difference after the vacuum and it left my office smelling nice and clean. My wife, who self-admits is not a tech-savvy person, texted me one day and told me she grabbed the vacuum and found it easy to use and understand. I agree with her. Every morning, while she’s getting ready, I’ll use the vacuum to clean the area near the cat litter box and she uses it in the afternoon for a quick once-over. Now, that area remains cleaner more often. I’ll be one to admit that, though we vacuum our home often, we don’t mop at the same ratio, nor as often as we should. Having one device that both vacuums and mops and is easy to clean makes the task seem less of a hassle, and we are both loving it. --- APPROVAL --- This is a great vacuum for quick jobs. It will leave your hard floors shiny and nice-smelling, your rugs clean, and your pets happier!

This is a really good mop. It does excellent on flat floors my tiled floors. It did not clean in the grout. Anywhere else in the house it did really good. I could sweep first and then go back through and mop and the mop does really good picking up because any hair that got missed it would pick it up. I gave it a four because it would collect the hair in the in the spot that catches it but when that’s full, you really have to empty it and listen to it because where the roller is if you get anything caught down there, it will not let it suck up the water like it should. I think the product would be better if it would just let all of it go together and have more suction power. It’s easy to clean and take apart for an electric mop. It really does do the job good

I purchased the cordless version and I’ve only had it for a couple weeks and love it. I have the spin mop but this machine is so much better. The roller cleans much better and the vacuum has decent suction. Instead of spinning the dirt around, it picks it up. The self cleaning cycle is so nice!! But if it’s not enough, the parts are very easy to dis/reassemble for cleaning. VERY light weight and simple to use. Only has 2 buttons; one to clean the hard floor and one to clean area rugs. Every time I use it my water is filthy. Clearly, I had dirt floors before this machine. I haven’t had any issues so far.

Cleaning my floors has never been easier. I have two dogs that shed and track mud in constantly. If your floors are really dirty this can clean them. On extreme jobs you may have to wipe off the tank/front cover but for regular dirt and grime the self cleaning feature is perfect. Buy it, seriously. Its cordless!

I just moved into a studio apartment with all hardwood floors. This vacuum has made it easy to clean both physical debris and the floor. Its relativeky light and the scrubber portion stays clean. Im able to clean my whole apartment (kitchen and bathroom too) and still have more than half charge. If i have to point out a problem its that there is about an inch that doesnt get cleaned against walls because the base blocks the scrubber. Other than that is ny bew go to. Very much recommended.

This works okay as a replacement to a swiffer or microfiber mophead but doesn't clean deeply like I had hoped. Based on other reviews I gathered that it wouldn't clean tile grout, but I have textured tile on my entire first floor with slight variations in the height of the tile (like 1 - 2 mm) and the mop brush doesn't seem to be able to get into those grooves. Its great for daily cleaning but you're still going to need to break out a real mop for deep cleaning including any stuck on spots, cleaning tile grout or any floors with texture. On the plus side, it was super simple to set up and use, the battery lasts about 20+ minutes as expected, and it leaves a streak free clean. The self cleaning feature also works great.

For the most part this has been an amazing purchase. Great for light mop/vacuuming in a short amount of time. It does what it claims. The drawbacks are the reservoir for the dirty water and occassional smells. The dirty water compartment is hard to clean. I feel like the smell of the chemical cleaner itself can sometimes be offputting. It can smell a little off. I always start with a fresh clean water reservoir to try and combat that.

It is not bad but it is not good at picking up dirt. Although it has a rug mode, the spinning mob head is still wet so I wouldn’t plan on using it on the rug. On the hard floors it doesn’t really suck/mop the corners. It is not end of the world but a bit annoying. It is unnecessarily expensive Also cleaning is a bit of pain as the collect bucket has one too many crevices

i am really enjoying the cordless hydrovac from shark. it makes mopping so much easier when i can vacuum at the same time. i would say i still need to use a regular vacuum depending on what my goal is, but with two stories of hard wood floors this is such a time saver that make me feel more sanitary and not avoid mopping my floors.

I had another brand mop/vac but was not working properly. So, I decided to try the Shark Hydrovac and glad I did. My old unit discharged too much chemical but this was done manually by pressing a trigger. The Shark dispenses just the right amount of chemical and the floor dries faster. I was concerned about battery life because my old unit had two additional removable batteries. But, was pleasantly surprised that it did my 1500+ square feet without recharging which is a plus. I love the self cleaning feature which you power on the unit and cleans the roller for about 2 minutes. My old unit, for cleaning at the end, you had to add 5 or 6 cups of water each time in the floor tray dock until it ran out when it suctioned it up. It was not automatic like the Shark. Just make sure enough water is in tank and you are good to go! Easy to remove dirty tank and clean. I love my Shark Hydrovac!
