This is a great entry level robotic vacuum. You get great cleaning power but are missing a lot of Features you find in the units costing two or three times as much. Setup of this unit is straight forward, more or less just a brush you have to snap on, plug the charging base in and let the unit charge for three hours before use. The shark app is very easy to use and navigate even if you have more than one unit. With the app you can setup scheduling cleanings for any day and time of the week. I have mine setup to clean when the house is empty. And so far this unit has made it back to its base every day. And please note I have two toddlers so the house is very 100% picked up. Older models would get stuck on cords, toys and rugs. This units has done a great job of navigating all of the obstructions left out. I have notice stuff show up a lot easier on the white unit compared to my black ones. I think that over time this might become an issue having it just look beat up. If you have pets I highly recommend one of these. Most of the time when we empty the bin it’s full of mostly pet hair. Now this doesn’t totally eliminate the use of our upright vacuum but it cuts it down to only using it when you need something down right or about once a month.

Overall I’m very happy with this product. For the money it’s worth the price and does its job well. It’s made a huge difference in my need for using my regular vacuum. It’s super easy to use, the app lets you turn it on from your phone and even set a schedule for cleaning. It’s easy to empty and clean the filter. The only small “downfall” is that with this model you can’t do room mapping. So it will bump something and turn itself around and continue. Doe to that, it sometimes spend most of its cleaning time in one room. I would definitely recommend this product and I will eventually buy myself the upgraded model.

The Shark Ion Robot Vacuum seems to be an entry-level robot vacuum. Following are my observations when testing out this vacuum: - The vacuum came well-packaged. It was very easy to assemble, with only two little color-coded brushes to pop in place. - It comes with a quick setup guide and owner's manual. Good illustrations with easy to interpret instructions on the download of the "SharkClean" App and setup. - When charging there are indicator lights that show when it is fully charged. - The SharkClean App prompts you through setup for easily connecting it to WiFi. Once charged up and connected to WiFi, it is ready to clean. - Upon starting the cleaning process, the robot took off from the dock and cleaned and maneuvered partially through the first room, then went to another room and partially cleaned and maneuvered through that room, then went back to the original room to clean some more before moving on again. I can't quite figure out the pattern or why it doesn't do one whole room at a time, before moving on. The path it takes to clean is very random and all over the place from room to room. - When the vacuum is running, it is relatively quiet and not near as loud as a handheld vacuum, but you can hear it running to know what room it is in. - Most of the time it gently taps into furniture or walls, but in some instances it bumps a little harder. It did not leave any marks or damage any furniture or walls. - It cleaned for about 90 minutes, using approximately 10% of the battery every 15 minutes. It then returned to the dock to recharge when it reached 40% battery life. It did not finish cleaning our 1,500 square feet in one session. - Upon returning to the dock, it took 2 hours and 20 minutes to fully charge back to 100% battery life. -Upon restarting after the charge, it did not have a memory of where it left off before returning to the dock. - The vacuum goes under any furniture with a 5" clearance or more. Sometimes it gets confused when trying to maneuver around tight spots. I had to pick it up and move it one time, as it couldn't get out between some chair legs. - The suction is average on the "normal" mode, but the suction is good on the "Max" mode. The battery is used faster when on Max mode. Overall, I feel like this is a basic robot vacuum that would be better suited for a smaller house with less rooms, or an apartment. Our main floor is about 1,500 square feet, with 5 rooms, plus a separate restroom and laundry room and a lot of furniture. It does not map your house and simply goes back and forth until it bumps into something. Due to this method, it misses a couple of my small rooms and some areas in the rooms it does go in. Also, with it not maintaining a memory of where it left off before recharging, it can't really ever go back to clean the areas missed. I feel if it was used in a smaller house or apartment with less rooms to maneuver and where it could clean the whole place in one session, it would work much better. The suction/cleaning ability was good in the areas it cleaned, so I think it would be a good vacuum in a smaller house or apartment.

The Shark ION Robot Vacuum is a sleek elegant robot vacuum. Setting up out of the box in three simple steps. Place charging dock by a wall within access to power outlet. Snap color coded brushes in color coded slots, and charge for at least 3 hours. You should remove clutter and cords from your floor. It does not map your house but does obstacle bumping to determine cleaning pattern, which is sufficient to clean/sweep up small debris. It does have side cliff sensors to prevent it from tumbling downstairs and drop offs, however, I only have a single-story house and cannot verify the effectiveness of the side cliff sensors 😊 If you have kids or pets, this is a must have item for your home. It picks up dog and human hair, dirt, and small things outside that he kids and dogs track in. The amount of time that it saves you from sweeping your hard floors is worth the investment in the Shark ION Robot Vacuum! Downloading the SharkClean App and connecting the Shark ION Robot Vacuum to WiFi enhances the convenience of the Shark ION Robot Vacuum! You can remotely start the Shark ION Robot Vacuum when no one is home or even set up a schedule to start the cleaning and it will return to its charging dock when done! The design is nice and coming in white gives it a bit of elegance. Every home, especially homes with a lot of smooth flooring needs one of these Shark ION Robot Vacuum! You will not regret it.

This is a great little vacuum. I was pleasantly surprised at how light it is. Easy to set up and use. It Does have slight difficulty on thicker carpet. It moved a little slower. It was great on the tile flooring. I did find the software/app a little different to navigate. It did not take a long time, only a few glitches. The vacuum runs pretty quietly. It navigated around the room with ease. I just need to make sure there aren’t any cords laying around. I like being able to start it from my phone. It memorized things around the room. It has no problems finding its way back to its base. I like being able to schedule cleanings. The basket is a decent size. I have dogs so I’m testing to see how well it picks up pet hair. It didn’t seem to clog. Great for keeping high traffic areas clean. It was easy to set up to WiFi. They’re a little beeps when starting up and going back to the base/home. Overall, I am pretty pleased with this product. I have no complaints. The color, white, complements any room. You can’t go wrong with this litter gadget.

Has helped so much with my shedding dog. I run it every night and my house looks less crusty dusty. Sometimes it bumps into things but it’s pretty soft bumps for the most part. 8/10 would buy again.

Since this is my first experience with a robotic vacuum, I find the experience excellent. The vacuum works well. We have sand tracked in which makes the tile floor slippery and we have 4 animals so lots of pet hair. The vacuum picks it all up.

Arrived quick, also bought one for downstairs that has the self emptying feature. Waiting for my new flooring to be done, so haven't actually tried it out. Will update if I need to adjust my rating. My friend has one amd loves it, which is why I chose this one. Purchased it at a great price, so value is great!

I love this vacuum so much. It’s effective and fast. It’s an upgrade from our older shark that kicked the buckets after a few years of consistent cleaning. It’s a lifesaver and time saver not having to think about vacuuming!

Not for houses, works well in a small apartment or townhome. I found it to be inefficient

Won't connect to app. Spent almost an hour with Shark customer service who just did the same troubleshooting steps in the app over and over with me. Don't waste your time with this product.

It’s cheap… So I bought it… It’s not cheap enough for the quality. This is my second replacement in less than six months not only does it have no discernible cleaning pattern… But the bill quality is so poor that twice my robot has just started going in circles unable to do itself.. the worst part? Neither Best Buy nor shark will give me a credit so I can get an upgrade. Do not buy this if you want a decent robot vacuum… Spend a little bit more money and get a lot more quality.
