This is a great vacuum. Being wireless gives you a lot of freedom and non stop cleaning. It comes with 2 batteries which makes it so you're not half done when one dies. There are 3 options for charging; in the vacuum, directly in battery, or with dock. I like that flexibility. I also like the flexibility of the vacuum stem that bends in half to get under things. The power head is awesome. It picks up a lot of stuff and is extremely flexible with the pivot. It has great suction. There are two settings the battery saver one is pretty good but the max suction really gets in there. It drains the battery but is worth it if you haven't vacuumed in a while. Works great on hard floors too. I like using the power head without the stem for stairs and then going back with the corner attachment to finish them off. Some negatives is there's no place for all the attachments like full size vacuums that let you store them on the vacuum. Even though there's a lot of suction the dusting attachment doesn't work well. Tried cleaning fan blades with it and the dust didn't get sucked up it just collected on the tool.

I have agonized over making a cordless vacuum choice. These are expensive pieces of equipment. I didn’t want to make a purchase I regretted. I have read every review and report comparing Dyson and Shark Cordless vacuums. I have tested both in stores multiple times. Shark just had some benefits over the Dyson that were critical to me. One being the “on switch” needing to be held down inoder for the Dyson to operate. In my testing at several stores after just a few minutes I was getting a blister on my hand between my thumb and index finger. The Shark did not cause that problem. Another strike against the Dyson models is the lack of a removable battery. These batteries don’t last forever. They degrade over time. I would much rather be able to buy just a new battery rather than have to replace the whole vacuum when the time comes. Plus I can buy additional batteries and have extended use time. So I went with the Shark. I am so glad I did. It is wonderful! It has plenty of suction to clean my carpet and left my hardfloors feeling clean. We have a lot of sand that gets dragged in, since we live in Florida. I hate the way it feels when I walk around barefoot. The Shark seems to have gotten it all up. The on button and the power settings are all right there within easy reach of your thumb, which because it doesn’t have a blister from holding the on switch continuously, can change the settings quickly as you move from carpet to hard floors. I will say that floor rugs do get caught in the rollers if you try to use the carpet setting on them. The hard floor setting handled them just fine, however. The flex portion of this vacuum is such a nice feature. I had back surgery last year and continue to have issues. This makes vacuuming under furniture much easier for me and saves my back. It also allows this vacuum to stand on its own and makes it easier to store. As far as batteries are concerned I can vacuum our whole 1900 sqft home with a half and half mix of carpet and tile with the 2 batteries that came with the vacuum. I leave it on extended runtime and there is just enough power to finish the job with a little left to spare. I will buy an extra set of batteries from Shark eventually so that I have extras for using the deep clean setting from time to time. I am happy with the attachments that came with the Shark vacuum. The quality of them impressed me. They don’t feel cheap or flimsy. There is a good variety. I don’t have a dog that sheds or cats so I didn’t need a pet attachment, but one is available on the Shark website if you do. And now to move on to the dirty part of this review. Emptying the dirt cup!!! Some reviews made it sound like it was way to hard to empty out all the stuff the Shark picked up. (While at the same time saying it didn’t pick up anything!? Can you say fake reviews? SMH) Emptying the dirt cup is as easy as detaching the wand from the handle with the push of a button. Then taking the handle (containing the dirt cup) to a trash can. Then one more button push and a door opens on the bottom and the dirt falls out. It couldn’t be any easier. I haven’t cleaned the filters yet, but videos show that being an easy task, as well. All of the reviews saying that the Shark isn’t powerful enough or that it isn’t as good as the Dyson are totally unfounded. I am sorry that I listened to them and that I didn’t just make my decision sooner. It would have saved me a lot of angst. The Shark IonFlex DuoClean 2X is a great cordless vacuum. This is light-weight and simple, but it had a hard time getting cat litter off of a concrete floor, seems like a simple task for this. I took it back and got a refund. I love the Rotator vacuum and have bought two of those.

I like that it’s cordless. However, the batteries don’t seem to last long.

I would think it is one of the greatest vacuum on the warket.

I liked that this vacuum was cordless but I don't like that u have to hold power button down the entire time ur clean for. I like to turn vac on n go. I ended up returning this vacuum cleaner for that reason of holding down power button.
