Great for everyday cleanup.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well on hardwood floors, picking up pet hair, dirt and cat litter. It doesn't have as good of suction as corded vacuums, but for everyday maintenance, it is great.

Love it!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using a cordless sweeper for about a year now and liked it just fine, but thought I'd try this Shark to 1) see if it's better and 2) have another one to use in other areas of the house. The IONFlex is MUCH nicer than my other vacuum and I'm loving it so far. We have a lot of indoor cats so I'm running a quick vacuum daily to round up the stray litter and hair they enjoy spreading around. It appears to be really well built and seems like it should last a long time. Of course everything is plastic, but it's a heavy duty plastic and doesn't feel cheap like some of them. Some things I'm really liking about this vacuum so far: o It comes with two Lithium Ion batteries which gives me more than enough run time for my areas. o The wheels on the roller head are much quieter and smoother on my floor tiles. o The filtration seems to work perfectly and even litter dust doesn't get through to cause sneezing. o It's super easy to empty the dust bin. o It's relatively quiet on the normal suction setting, but does have a higher mode. o The brush and suction on carpet and throw rugs is very comparable to my full-size floor vacuums. o It folds into a pretty compact shape for storage. o The documentation included is short, to the point, clear and easy to read. o The control buttons are intuitive and easy to access while using it: There's the big power button, but also buttons to switch carpet/tile mode and change the suction power The few minor downsides: o The dust bin is very small so you'll need to empty it a lot (but at least that's super easy) o The 3 attachments it came with are nice, but I haven't figured out how/where I'm going to store them for easy access yet. o It did not come with the pet attachment shown in the manual (the quick start guide shows only the attachments actually included). I really like the design of this vacuum. The main unit reminds me of some sort of scifi laser pistol. The air is sucked into the nozzle in the front, drops debris in the dust bin, goes through several filters, then is exhausted through the bottom of the handle grip. It's a cool design and it works really well. If you're looking for a powerful, compact vacuum I think you'll be happy with this Shark.

Way Better than my Dyson!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used many different vacuum cleaners over the years. Everything from a Kirby, to a Dyson, to a Miele (German made), and now two different Shark models. This unit easily ranks up there with the best models, maybe even higher. I've used this a couple of times now to clean the downstairs of my house. The main floor is all laminate flooring with a couple of rugs. I have yet to use it on the completely carpeted upstairs, not sure if I will or not. I say that only because I do have a couple of units to choose from and will probably just keep one upstairs (probably my plug in Shark duo). Pros: -Relatively lightweight. This is not as light as my Dyson v7, but it cleans SOOO much better than the Dyson. -Quiet. The motor on this is really quiet. Granted, I grew up around a Kirby that could drown out a small jet engine. -The flex in the handle is great for getting under low areas like my couch, entertainment stand, and more. I can reach all the way under these without having to even bend over or contort myself to reach. The flex also allows you to fold the unit over for storage without removing the head. On my Shark duo plug-in model, you have to remove the motor head (not hard, just kind of annoying) to store the unit, or it will fall over. -Runtime: I haven't managed to kill the batteries, yet. I was able to do my entire main floor (on low power setting) with ease. With my Dyson, I was lucky to get 3/4 of the way through (on low power). Cons (constructive criticism): -I'm not sure why they include a charging stand. The stand is for horizontal surfaces only, so no mounting on the wall. The batteries have jacks on them, so you can just plug the cable directly into the battery. This makes the stand basically useless. I would have preferred a wall-mount option or a dual charger. -No wall mount. The Dyson really has a nice interface for charging. Just hang on its included wall mount and it's stored and charging. Shark should have tried to mimic this in some way. Overall: This is a fantastic unit. It cleans better than vacuums priced much higher than it. I would highly recommend it.

Nice Vacuum, Good Suction, Removable Batteries
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is quite a nice little vacuum! It's got a slightly wider brush head than the Dyson V8 Animal. The brush is quite powerful and almost takes off dragging you with it when you first pull the trigger. It does a really good job of getting into the carpet fibers and picking up loose items like flecks or dirt or paper. The suction seems to be on par with that of a Dyson. It managed to pick up small bits of dirt and paper and such in the tough fibers of some bonded carpet I have. My Hoover upright wouldn't touch that carpet; my Dyson was the only thing that seemed to work prior to getting the Shark. The flexible mid-section is quite handy for getting up under furniture. The added attachments are nice. I'm a fan of the window blind brush. One thing lacking in some of the cordless vacs is a removable battery. Once that battery goes you're kinda outta luck. The Shark comes with 2x removable batteries. This is nice in case they ever need replaced. Moreover, if you've got a big job to do you'll always have a little battery backup waiting for you should you need to continue working. I'm pleasantly surprised by this model. I would certainly recommend it to those looking for a cordless vac.

Great and versatile wireless vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark Ion Flex 2x Duo Clean is probably one of the most impressive wireless vacuums i've ever seen. Shark has really done a great job of making this a very versatile product but also packing alot of punch into something that runs off lithium batteries. The initial unboxing and assembly was very straight forward. I love that it came with 2 batteries so if you have a tough job you have a backup. I must note though for all the jobs I used around the house I only needed the one battery for everything, so that's a plus! The vacuum also came with lots of different attachments that can be used for the smaller handheld version. Which brings me to the versatility of this product. Shark has designed the product to be able to be used as a regular vacuum and a hand vac. I never realized how much I would use the hand vac, but I'm using it for quite a few things around the house. Including cleaning out the car. The attachments allow it to clean blinds and hard to reach places with ease. Another really cool feature of the vacuum is the flexibility. The vacuum hinges at the middle which allows you to be standing but easily reach 3-4 under a bed without even having to get down on your knees. Its super simple and once you see how it works you wonder why they haven't done this before! The vacuum also has different power and floor settings as well. It functions just as good on carpet as it does on tile and its a breeze to use on the stairs! All in all I would really recommend this product to anyone. I have owned Dyson in the past and this vacuum holds up to Dyson's handheld and wireless vacuums and its a 2 in 1 product. It's a no brainer!

Great cordless vaccum, nice NOT having a cord.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok i just got this vaccum not to long ago and so far i love it. I love the cordless feature and not having to drag a cord and looking for another plug or running out of space. I also like the different settings it has from carpet to bare floors. I also love the 2 batteries it came with so you can change one out when the other runs down. A couple things i dont like about the vaccum is #1. the enemy of the vaccum is long hair that gets stuck in the second roller and its a pain to untangle and get out. #2. i noticed that the soft roller can be poped out for cleaning but the second brush roller does NOT pop out which makes it difficult to clean. You have to use a knife or sissors to get away hair or string that gets stuck so a little bit of a pain there. #3. Be nice if that second brush roller could be poped out to clean just like the soft roller can. #4. you have to push the power button twice to turn the vaccum on. So other than these issues i love the vaccum but not huge deal breakers by any means. I would like to see Shark address those issue hopefully.
