Dont waste time or money i am a big shark fan, but not of this vacuum. This thing is super noisy kep. T on getting lost, getting stuck on the fanbase, his side brushes kept on getting tangled up eh in the wires. He's not what all it's cracked up to be. I'm not impressed. I've returned it. And got an I robot j seven plus much more quieter and much better cleaning job.I'm very disappointed in shark

Bought to replace an iRobot. This is much quieter. Does not bump into things. Does not eat cords. Is quieter. I like it over the iRobot.

Works great, gets stuck on thicker rugs but it cleans very well.

Purchased for our upstairs carpeted area for pet hair. Ran it twice and it's like it had no suction or brush at all. I picked up a clump of dog hair and laid it in front of it...all it did was run it over and leave it behind. There are WAY better products out there and I'll be returning. Maybe it works better for hard surface floors.

Upgraded to this from an older shark robovac. This model is much improved over the older generation. It is more precise and thorough too. A nice feature with the shark stations over a Roomba is the Bagless Tray.

Cleans better than the leading products. Empties well.

It really appears as though Shark went all-out with this one! I have spent a lot of time simply watching the Shark Matrix Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum do its thing around the house, and I am amazed at how great it really works at cleaning the floors. Set Up Unpacking and setting up the vacuum was simple and easy. Just a matter of removing the vacuum and the docking station from their cardboard storage boxes, removing all the plastic, and attaching the sweeper brush. It comes with a pretty good charge on it already, but its a good idea to go ahead and full charge it at the very beginning. At this point, let me say that together, the vacuum and the docking station occupy a somewhat large footprint, even more so when adding in the clearance specs recommended by Shark. With that in mind, you will want to find a spot for the unit that is not in the middle of traffic areas. While the Shark was charging, I downloaded the app. By the way, don't worry, Shark includes a Quick Start Guide to help out with the initial setup, and mapping of your home. So after the Shark was fully charged, I continued with the app part of the setup. As you go through the setup process, the app walks you simply through the process. One of the first things you will do is to allow the robot to map out the areas you want it to vacuum. To ensure a hassle-free mapping/vacuuming experience, it is necessary to remove any obstacles the vacuum might encounter, such as clothing, bed skirts, pet feed and water dishes, cords and so on. Then a couple more finishing up steps and its time to set up your map! The mapping process is a bit time-consuming, but I can see where it will save a LOT of time after the initial process. The Shark uses LIDAR technology to map out your home, which uses a laser rather than actual radar. It detects anything in its path over a certain size. After it maps out your home, it has to recharge, and then it can begin the vacuuming. The first time I used it to vacuum, I started it right before leaving the house. I was going to be gone for a couple hours or so, and I was a bit excited to see how well it did while I was away. When I arrived back home, the vacuum was in the docking station. When I checked the debris bin, I could see that the Shark had been quite busy, and had apparently done a very good job. I did a walk-through of the house and was absolutely happy with the results! I am a pet-parent, so fur is a constant battle. I probably went a bit too far in checking out how well it did, but I got out my regular vacuum to see how much pet hair the Shark left behind on the area rugs. I was astonished at how very little pet hair was left! Seriously, the Shark did a fantastic job! The next time I used the Shark, I purposely threw in a few changes to the original map it had discovered, just to see how it would handle it (this included putting up a physical barrier to prevent it from entering the kitchen area, and moving a chair to a different spot. For the most part the Shark did okay. It did try to get to the barricaded areas it had previously mapped, but did not try to go to any areas that I opened up access to for this test. The vacuum still performed extremely well, in spite of the changes. Now, the vacuum itself is amazing. It has great suction, it goes everywhere it is programmed to go, and the self-emptying aspect is such a huge plus!! It has the ability to maneuver over/around most objects that cannot be moved like my 70" television which sits on the floor using "legs." I also have a stand that uses a modular style base that I thought would cause the Shark to get stuck. It proved me wrong! After several uses, it has yet to get stuck any where. But the App...this is a disappointment. The app will not allow for any changes while the vacuum is busy, but requires that the vacuum return to dock. For areas that were not mapped during the initial mapping process, you cannot use the "Spot" clean function to clean them. You have to actually go through the entire remapping process. I moved some speakers away from the TV, and this left a roughly 2'x3' area that was not originally included. When I tried to do a Spot vacuum, it still would not go there. The app in general is cumbersome, ambiguous, and difficult to navigate...absolutely not user-friendly and not intuitive at all. Again, this is a big disappointment. However, even with the poor app, the Shark Matrix Self-Emptying Vacuum deserves its Five-Star Rating. It picks up debris and pet hair with no difficulties, and its self-cleaning brushroll performs flawlessly! This Shark Robot Vacuum now occupies a place of honor in my home, and I look forward to using it for many years to come!

This robotic vacuum is awesome. So happy with this purchase from Best Buy which had the best price to offer at the time of purchase.

Love this shark vaccum. We are def a shark family! I would buy more if I could.

The cleaning ability of the vac is the best part of it and after that it becomes just ok. The vac gets itself stuck on a regular basis because it tries to force itself in areas, like under the kitchen chairs, where it simply doesn't fit. The software should know that when it meets that much resistance that it should back off.

PRETTY EASY TO SET UP THE APP AND GET THIS THING CHARGED. SCOOTS AROUND JUST FINE. HOWEVER, THE MAPPING FEATURE IS NOT DEFINED WELL AND INSTRUCTIONS TO DO THIS ARE NOT IN THE MANUAL.

This is my second robot vacuum. This is my firat Shark and i love it. The cleaning coverage is better than my first Robot vacuum and it is much quieter.

Self empty feature is a bonus, I gave this as a gift to a new mom, her first reaction after use was… “it was great to wake up to a clean house”

Literally amazing! Even the air smells fresher in my house after running our shark.

Not the best in the market. Only allows you to schedule a clean once a day. It worked but could be better. I ended up returning it.

Vacuum failed just after the first year. Parts are plastic and just came apart. We purchased replacement parts and nothing worked properly. We switched brands.

This doesn't completely remove the need to vacuum, but it is great to help things keep clean.

Does a fair job but the "brush" is so short it takes forever to clean our home. Neato did a better job in less time but dealing with Neato Robotics is impossible.
