It looks nice but it is loud on tile and it requires three charges (3 hours each) to vacuum a 2,000 sq ft house

Does not stay connected to wifi. have to manually start. doesn't do every room. very loud. only has brush on one side of vacuum. not worth the money.

I have not owned this even a week yet and now after it finishes cleaning it cannot find its dock and return. I have moved everything away from the dock. I have it flush up against the wall, I've cleaned all the sensors on the dock and the vacuum. I deleted the map and re-created the map and it still would not find the dock. I did factory reset and started all over and guess what… It still did not find the dock. The funny thing is is that it moves in front of the base dock, spins around back-and-forth and after about a minute it just starts going around the room again until it gives up and I hear the message say cannot find the dock. Great investment of $400. Garbage. It's back and it's crappy box now to get returned tomorrow.

Not as sturdy as the IRobot. Sensors got damp and no longer works after owning it for barely 30 days. It was awesome when it did work.

We bought this vac because we have cats and for the first 6 months it was a decent machine. But now it does not work because it is dirty underneath the shark logo. We researched this and found there are sensors under the logo. We tried blowing it of and q tips to clean it but nothing has worked. I dont understand why there are sensors under there..

The Shark Matrix Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum is a pleasure to behold. It takes care of our vacuuming chores and makes it look easy. It was easy to set up. I just took the base out of the box and plugged it in and then attached the side brush to the bottom of the robot and put it beside the base so it could charge. I then downloaded the app for my iPhone and waited until it was charged. I then went through the set up on the app. All painless and easy. It takes 3 hours for a full charge but it really never runs all the way down so it never takes that long to recharge fully. I set it on explore mode to map out my house. I had to open the doors to the rooms I wanted it to map. It didn't take long to do so and then a map displayed on the app. I could then name the rooms. That way later I can have it just go clean certain rooms if I wanted. I have it set to 10am every day to vacuum. I just leave the doors to the bedrooms or laundry room if there are clothes in the floor and I don't want it to get tangled in those that day so it will not go into those rooms. It seems to vacuum and pick up well on both carpet and bare floor, tile and wood. It is fairly quiet except when it goes back to the base to empty itself and then it is loud while it transfers the dust over to the bin in the base. It was noisier when I set it on max clean but since I am running it every day, I just keep it on normal clean. I have not noticed anything it has not picked up on the floors and I have run our normal vacuum just to see and it did not pick up much. We have a dog and it does well with pet hair. The brush roller does well not getting tangled. The robot goes close to the walls and the side brush sweeps dirt to it as well as it can. It seems to bump into things a little bit more than I expected and it also pulls on power cords and has knocked an item off a table but mostly it does not have too many problems with that. I guess we have too many cords laying around. It has only gotten tangled on the corner of a loose rug one time and it let me know through the app that it needed help. I think the map resolution on the app could be better but the app is good, don't get me wrong. Overall a good vacuum for one that does not have a human attached to it.

Stopped working in 6 months. Worked great at first, then it wouldn't start on schedule, won't charge itself, and continues to fault for no reason when running.

This worked really well for the first few weeks, now it only cleans 1 room! We’ve done a factory reset 3 times, redid the map at least 5 times (it maps out the rooms correctly) and it still only cleans 1 room. Will be returning it!!

Constantly disconnected from the app and the app is the only way to control it. Called support multiple times and they just run you through trouble shooting until it starts working.

It's been six months since I bought. Battery is not charging to 100%. It always shows the status "charging 70%" even after plugged in for three days. The electricity bill hiked after I bought this Vacuum, because it's always charging not stop but not crossing 70%.

The Shark Matrix Self-Emptying robot is impressive compared to the mainstream robot manufacturer. The robot is not that loud and runs a cleaning cycle very fast. After the initial mapping of the cleaning area, it then optimizes the cleaning path to finish the cycle quickly. In fact, the cleaning cycle can run longer because the base acts as a vacuum for the vacuum, emptying the robot so that it can go again without having to empty the robot. Having a large dog that sheds, our older non-Shark robot would struggle after one cycle. Not this robot. I have found that the base suction is strong enough to pull out a fist full of dog hair from the robot. And no longer do I need to empty the collection bin after every cleaning cycle. The Shark Matrix integrates perfectly with Google Home and I can start and stop the robot using Google Home commands. The best part since the robot is Wifi connected, I can start the cleaning cycle no matter where I am at in the world. The Lidar system on board really does a good job at avoiding objects and bumping things. However, the Lidar system adds approximately ½ inch to the height of the robot therefore it might not go under sofas very well. One of the cool things about the app is that after you map the layout of the space you want it to clean, you can give labels to certain rooms and tell the robot to only clean a certain room. In addition, you can take the robot and put it in the area you want specifically clean and interface it with the buttons on top of the robot. All in all, if you were to choose a robot, I honestly cannot recommend anything else than Shark than the other original robot. Its quieter, its faster, and has more features at a better price point.
