If you are looking for one of those giant shop vacs on wheels that are cumbersome and hard to get in tight spaces then this is not for you. If you are looking for a great medium size portable shop vac with great suction then this Shark - MessMaster Portable Wet/Dry Vacuum is for you. First of all, this Shark shop vac is very lightweight and so easy to assemble. Just attach the hose, clip on the attachments, and put an included small garbage bag into the collection bin and you are ready for some awesome cleaning. The Shark - MessMaster Portable Wet/Dry Vacuum comes with a squeegee attachment for liquid spills, a carpet tool for getting pet hair out of rugs and car floors, and a crevice tool for those hard to reach areas. The coolest feature is being able to use a garbage bag in the collection bin. Just vacuum up your dry or wet spills and when full just throw away your collection bag. No mess, no fuss. If the hose or collection bin get messy, just run a cup or two of water through the hose and wash all the dirt away. I also love how powerful the suction is. We have 2 large dogs who shed and using this Shark - MessMaster Portable Wet/Dry Vacuum to go along walls, carpet and stairs where dog hair builds up is way more easy then bringing out our big canister vacuum and having to empty it every few minutes because of the cannister filling up. The included extensions and crevice tools make it easy to get to hard to reach places. This is a great medium size shop vac that packs up pretty easy. The only problem is the extension wands don't attach to the unit in any way so you have to keep track of them so you don't lose them.

We’ve needed a wet/dry vac for some time, but most of them take up a lot of space. Enter the Shark MessMaster portable vacuum. The solid build quality matches what I would expect from Shark; I have a Shark upright vacuum which has held up extremely well for years, and I expect this portable unit will do the same. First came the dry test. We have two large dogs and we needed to get their hair out of a rental car before returning it. The lightweight MessMaster was perfect for the job, making it simple to get to where I needed to clean. The included attachments allowed me to clean out the cracks and crevices that every car interior has. When I used the vacuum on areas where I did not see any dog hair, the vacuum still picked up a considerable amount of residual hair. Next came the wet test. We had a spill of some soapy water on a tile floor. The MessMaster made quick work of this, easily sucking up the spilled water. With a one-gallon liquid capacity, it easily soaked up what had sloshed from the cleaning bucket. Cleaning out the vacuum was also a breeze. It comes with bags (good for reducing dust – I used it to clean up sawdust after a house project), but for most purposes they’re not required. The bin is easy to clean out, and the entire unit – bin, hose, and attachments – can be easily cleaned simply by vacuuming up clean water and pouring it out. Solidly built, powerful suction, versatile design, and portable, this is an outstanding wet/dry vacuum.

The Shark MessMaster Wet/DryVacuum is a reasonably small and light and very portable wet/dry vacuum that can be used in either your home or your auto. It will handle any mess and comes with a hose inlet, a squeegee tool, a crevice tool, a bare floor nozzle, a carpet tool, and a 3 piece extension wand. In operation, the Shark MessMaster was easy to maneuver and offered excellent suction. As I mentioned, the hose inlet can basically be used for any wet/dry mess. This includes cat litter, broken glass, clogged drains, etc. I primarily used it for cat litter since that seems to be a problem in our house. The other tools are more specialized. The crevice tool was excellent at getting into small nooks in our car. The carpet tool was great at cleaning the rugs in the car and rugs and upholstery in the house. The 3 piece extension wand was useful in getting to hard to reach places and the bare floor tool and squeegee tool were used on our bathroom floors and liquid spills, respectively. I highly recommend the SharkMessMaster. It is convenient and light and can handle just about any medium size mess you can think of.

I have a bissell, Hoover, and another off brand shampooer. I had dog urine, coffee and mud stains that I had tried so many ways to clean out of the carpet. Different cleaning agents, all 3 shampooers I have and nothing, I mean NOTHING would get the stains out. The smelled fine but stain was there. So, here is what I did…. I bought the Shark Mess Master and the CarpetXpert with StainStriker. I poured water on each spot, yes soaked it!!! Then took the new Mess Master and sucked all that water out and it was yellow yellow! Straight dog urine!! Then I let it dry overnight. Vacuumed with my shark navigator and then, I shampooed with the Shark CarpetXpert using the oxy multiplier formula and once I was done thoroughly shampooing I used the setting to do the super dry setting so that the carpet would be dry by morning. I was shocked that the carpet no longer showed any stains and to test I poured water on one of the known spot areas again and took the mess master to it and the liquid that I sucked up was clear!!!!! The combo of both, the shark double cleaning formula and the way the shampooer sucks up the fluid off of the carpet so powerfully is UNMATCHED! I have spent probably over $3000 in tools on the last 5 years and nothing compares to this shampooer. I am so happy with this purchase as I am with all shark products I own (vacuums, cordless vacuum, hair dryer, wet dry vac, shampooer). Shark is the very best!!!!

This thing has become my new favorite all-around mess cleaning tool, and I use it mostly for cleaning out messes in the cars. The overall size of the unit is about what you would expect for most portable, smaller shop vacs / carpet spot cleaners and the weight is comprable as well. But where I was really impressed was the care to detail in the little things that Shark put into place here. For starters, this is a corded device, which has it's pros and cons. The biggest pro to a corded device is that I don't need to worry about a battery dying on me while I'm trrying to clean something. The biggerst con is that because it's corded, there's some navigation logistics to manage moving around the cars to clean them out... but it's nothing that a good extension cord can't fix. The unit comes with several attachments as well, your basic crevice tool and smaller vac head. I saw on the box that they also featured a larger vac head, but I was dissappointed to learn that the larger vac head was an "optional" accessory. When I checked Shark's website, the larger vac head was sold out, so wasn't able to vaccuum out the back of our van with the larger head that I had hoped I would be able to. One of the coolest features with this thing is that you can take the debris bin off and it's dishwasher safe. So if you have a wet mess that you're cleaning up, you can pop the bin off and stick in the dishwasher for a good clean... but I wouldn't recommend doing that mixed with dishes. At least, I didn't. The other nice part of the bin is that you can use any smaller trash bag with it, you don't have to rely on proprietary size bags. Small kitchen trash bags or even the occasional grocery store plastic bag work just fine. I've used this to clean up all manner of messes, but mostly, I use it to clean out our van that carries around 2 busy kids and 1 crazy dog. I've been impressed with how well it cleans, the cleaning power provided by a corded solution, and the portability of the size. This is now my go-to solution when there's a mess to clean and it's Dad's job to clean it up.

If you have any, some, or all of the above, you need this "Shark MessMaster" vacuum. It's for all those messes and crumbs and bits and pieces left over in the house and especially in cars. Crumbs and messes from kids here and there in all areas of the house--in hard to reach places, and/or when you don't want to haul out the big vacuum. I use it everyday after meals around the kitchen table, or after the kids have snacks in front of the tv, but the best use I have for it is in our cars--I really like the ease of use in getting into those many tight spots and crevices in our sedans and minivan, to clean up crumbs and such. It's also great for cleaning up after our birds--we have two big cages and the mess that accumulates underneath and around and within the cages is a lot, from seeds to feathers to droppings. The MessMaster is so handy in quickly and efficiently cleaning up those messes, and then some. The various tools it comes with can tackle any type of mess, wet or dry. I would say the only very slight negative thing would be that I wish the suction were a tad bit more powerful, but overall, it really is a complete portable vacuum set that has everything you would need to clean up wet or dry messes quickly and efficiently in tight spaces and all those times you don't want to haul out a regular big vacuum.

This Shark MessMaster is, as its name suggests, a portable wet/dry vacuum. It is light, relatively quiet, and comfortably portable with good suction. It works well with all types of debris and with wet spills. Included with the vacuum are a flexible hose, a 5" squeegee attachment for wet spills, a crevice tool, a 5" "carpet" attachment for dry spills, and a three-piece extension wand. Available separately are a wider bare floor tool and a pet multi-tool. All included tools and the wet/dry collection canister are dishwasher safe. While I am impressed by the action of the vacuum, I found many design features to be almost intentionally clumsy. (1) The swivel top through which you access the collection canister is an awkward way to empty the vacuum. (2) The flexible hose locks into to body of the vacuum in an unintuitive way - it twists in (I have never used any vacuum that had a hose attachment like this). Also, the hose is stiff and feels restrictive and the business end of the hose does not fit as securely into the attachments as I would like. (3) The carpet attachment, for dry spills, can be used on low pile carpets but tends to drag on some upholstery and has trouble extracting debris from thicker pile carpeting. (4) The flexible hose and the extension wand are both just a little over 3' long and, when used together, cannot clean up a wet or dry spill without you holding the vacuum in your hand while you work - overall, this vacuum is only useful for cleaning small areas with you working at the same level of the spill. The Shark MessMaster would be perfect for cleaning out a car or for clearing debris from a workbench or for siphoning water from a clogged sink - but it can be clumsy to use and awkward to empty. Not a fan.

It works so powerfully. Very clean, any dirt dry or wet. I love it.

This Shark vacuum allows for one to get closer to the places needing cleaning since you can pick it up and get closer. It comes with various hoses and attachments which are helpful for getting into smaller areas, reaching far away areas and also for vacuuming upholstered furniture. You need to insert a bag into the container to collect the debri. The one thing I didn’t like was that it was messy to clean once you were done with vacuuming. In other words, even though the bag was collecting the debri being picked up, it still had debri all over the inside cover and more. It’s not all contained in the container. It’s not something I would want in a vacuum. For this reason I gave it 3 stars. The Shark did a good job of maintaining suction while doing its job but I did have to readjust and tighten the attachments. It does the job, is handy and has good suction. It’s not heavy, but does get heavier when using the wet vacuum setting. Best to keep the Shark on the floor when using the wet vaccine setting.

This little machine is mighty. I live in an apartment and it’s easy to use and find a place to store. The suction is wonderful.
