I love this vacuum. It replaces a Dyson that cost me $499 and does a much better job. It is light weight, the small swivel floor attachment goes anywhere. It's a good price point as well. It is perfect for stairs, although you need the crevice tool in the corners on carpet. Nice tools come with it as well. It has great suction and picks up pet hair before it gets to it. I have 3 pets, so this is great. I wish it had a longer cord.

Ok for an apartment that is kept fairly clean. Not ideal for house w/pets. Takes forever to clean large areas.

Was everything I expected. I read many reviews and most were raves. The few complaints were stupid if you consider the price. Got this vacuum for $169 on sale. It is very light weight, picks up more than my hoover did. It is easy to move around and change from hard wood, tile and carpet. NO more bags to change. I use the brush to pick cat hair on furniture. Yes, it would be nice if the cord rolled up on its on and the cord was longer, but so easy to move, so what. I can't image spending hundreds on the other brands. Well worth the purchase. LOVE IT>

I have only used the vacuum once but if I don't do the review now I wont ever do it. So first off the PROS: suction is great very powerful and adjustable, its very lightweight can move it around the carpet and pick it up to carry around with ease, very quiet, , the tilt steering is kind of nice very maneuverable, the cleaning head is very low so it fits under all my furniture, the different ways for detaching and using the various parts is a nice feature "modular" I guess is the word im looking for, cord is an adequate length the filter system seems really good there are two pieces under the canister a think and a thin that are washable then there is a HEPA filter on the outside though I haven't seen how to remove that to clean or replace which im assuming needs to be done at some point. CONS: the hose is not long at all so if you are cleaning something other than the floor you need to be close to it or have to detach the canister and even then the reach and maneuverability isn't great, you can use just the handle or can use the wand which is longer but a longer flexible hose would be a better option, even though the head is low and fits under stuff you cant get deep under because the canister sticks out and sits low and close to the head although since its modular you could detach the canister and attach the wand directly to the head and then could get the head a couple feet under furniture that just occurred to me, it came with four attachments but there is only on board mounting space for two a minor inconvenience, the cleaning head seems a little narrow, and lastly it seemed to not pull the pet hair off my area rug as easily as my last vac, took a couple extra passes, I think that has more to do with the roller brush, it seems to be smaller and have less groups of bristles than my last one its not the suction cause as I said that's really strong. So overall its a very strong vacuum that's a piece of cake to maneuver but the attachment and hose situation is not the best. I cant speak to the durability yet as its only been one use. Happy with the purchase and I would recommend the machine.

I have a long haired white cat & suffer from asthma. My former dirt devil could not suck up well & I could feel it throwing what I vacuumed back into my legs. I was sceptical at first to buy something I saw on an info commercial, but I tell you, it's the BEST thing I've ever done! I am amazed by how much cat hair this Shark picks up every week. I have an entire canister full of cat hair. That's what I was breathing in all the time! My asthma has gotten better & I don't have to use my inhaler everyday! I love how the vacuum swivels & is super light weight. I wish it had a light on the front, but, I can live without it. It has great suction & I'm very impressed. This is a MUST have if you have pets! You will be amazed by how much pet hair your other vacuum leaves behind.

My wife purchased and was very happy at first but then she became very dissatisfied as the performance hasn't been the same. Will probably return.

It was finally time to let my ancient Hoover walk into the light so I took a chance on the Shark (based on owner reviews). This is a well designed, light-weight, highly functional vacuum. The removable canister is a nice feature but the vacuum is so compact and light that I could do without it if I had to. Super easy to assemble, operation is intuitive, all parts seem durable and everything works perfectly. The cord doesn't retract and it's a little short. On the other hand, I don't need a long cord to wrap by hand and drag all over the place when I can just plug the vacuum into other outlets as needed. My wife wanted a Dyson Ball but we both agree that the Shark offers way more bang for the buck.

I'd heard Dyson vacs were the best and was considering purchasing one when I saw the great reviews on this Shark Navigator Lift-Away. Since it was less than half the price of the Dyson I decided to take a chance. I am THRILLED with this vac! Features include great suction, quiet operation, lightweight, easy to break down for cleaning stairs, furniture, ceiling fans, etc. Also, no bags required - just detach the "cup" and dump in your trash. Filters are also easy to reach and clean. One negative - cord is on the short side so I just store an extension cord with the vac. Don't have pets so I can't say if it works on pet hair.

It is so hard to believe that so much power can be packed into such a small,lightweight vacuum. Frankly,I never thought that there would be a vacuum that would even compare to our other big yellow one. Not only did this meet my expectations,it costs about $300.00 less. Wish this "Shark" had been available earlier. Love this little powerhouse. Thanks,"SHARK" for yet another amazing product.

I gave my Dyson to my daughter for her new apartment. I went searching for a new vacuum cleaner and thought I would try the Shark. The length of the hose was the only good quality. Very unsturdy vacuum cleaner. Always falls over. The suction is horrible.

I researched vacuums online and bought the Dyson multi floor for $400. I used it once and was just not impressed - so many little issues and it was awful on the carpet. I took it back and bought this one. It is designed much better and works perfectly. And big one here- its $200 cheaper. It sucked up so much dust and per hair from my carpets it was unreal. Easy to switch to wood floor. It's light and easy to move. I highly recommend it.

Actually I only have a few complaints, but first off, I just wanna say that I do love my shark navigator lift away! Love the power it has! I have a back injury so the lightness of it is great for me! I don't have to go over my floor over and over, Seriously, it picks great the first time around..have to admit I was shocked on how great of a job it does! I've had mine for a few years and if it ever stops working. . I'm definitely buying the same one! Okay, the very few cons I have. .. -Not so great attachments, it comes with several attachments which is great, but I don't care for the stiff hose and it could be longer.. the floor brush hose actually cracked.. it's only $3.95 to replace (not bad after 3 years of using multiple times every day!) -The lock that attaches from the handle to the extension wand is stuck. (I Think someone that used it last just stuck it in wrong) I'm sure my hubby can get it unstuck, I'm just scared I will break it! Haha. Every time my daughter comes over, she wants to vacuum my floor, she loved it so much that she also bought one for herself! But all in all.. it's a Great vacuum, I love mine!! I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

I have had this vacuum for about 2 weeks now and I love it!!! It seems to be cleaning pretty well, and I am in love w/the swivel!! it manuvers great and is relativly easy to push. I really like the pet attachment, but I wish there was a place to put it on the vac. It comes apart easily and I really like how the canister dumps! It lifts the carpet great and I love how it looks when I'm done. The cord is a little short but I am still able to do 2 rooms before having to unplug (minor annoyance), and when you use the attachemtents and/or take the canister off the hose is a little short, but still ok. It would be amazing for stairs...I don't have any but when I did I really could have used this!! The canister detaches quickly, and it flows from carpet to hard floors very easily! You just flip a little switch! I love this vacuum!

I settled on this vacuum after deciding I wouldn't be able to invest in a dyson vac. This one is a great alternative for the price. So far, it has cleaned up anything I've put in front of it and it seems to pick up much more dirt than my last vacuum did, which was around the same price. The vacuum is very easy to assemble and convert into different modes. It is light and easy to control. The different attachments are good for any type of vacuuming project. The manual explains everything in nice detail and doesn't skimp on information. Overall I love the style and the functionality of this machine and I recommend it to anyone on a budget of 200 dollars or less.

This is the third Shark vacuum we have in the house, and this one is by far my favorite. I was looking for something with better attachments to get those hard to reach places (corner's in ceilings, underneath dressers, closets floors, etc) without having to get a step stool, or move all the furniture or items in the way. I have a large dog whose shedding has a way of moving through every crack and crevice under doors and furniture. The attachments, easy mobility and interchangeability (very VERY easy) has saved me about an hour on my vacuuming, 3 bedroom house, all hardwood floors. Aside from the functionality while vacuuming the other two reasons why this is my fave, is because of how easy it is to empty the canister, and because I don't have to buy new filters as the one that comes with it is hand washable. Very happy with this buy!
