Customers are saying

Customers regard the Navigator Lift-Away Bagless Upright Vacuum favorably due to its strong suction, lightweight design, and ease of use. Many appreciate its performance on carpets and the reasonable price point. However, some customers find the cord length to be insufficient and the dustbin capacity could be improved. A few also noted the vacuum's noise level.

    Light, Powerful Vacuum !

I researched vacuums Online and decided to buy the Shark Navigator over the Dyson, not just because of the price difference, but because 99% of the Online reviews for this vac were highly positive. The only thing people mentioned was that the dust cup had to be emptied often due to it's size. For me, that isn't an issue. It doesn't clog, doesn't lose suction and is ergonomically friendly. I am very happy with this vac and I recommend it to anyone who has pets in the house. It does a great job on fur and is amazing on birdseed. Works very well on hard floors too!

Don't let the looks fool you!

I went into Best Buy looking for something awesome and under $300. Well... that's not enough for a Dyson so I didn't have any idea what to pick. The sales lady recommended this vacuum to me and I thought, "That does not look heavy duty at ALL." It looks like a stick vacuum with a bigger canister! She told me that she personally had gone though 2 Eureka vacuums and finally bought one of these, and she's had it for over a year with zero problems. AND it was a little over half my budget on clearance in-store. Okay, I decided... if it sucks, I'll be happy. Well, I vacuumed my ENTIRE house last night and I LOVE it. There are even some features she didn't mention to me that I really like-- I don't really care about 100 different types of attachments for everything under the sun. It has enough stuff-- a couple of narrow ended "crevice" tools as well as a brush tool and a powerbrush for use on stairs. I love that there isn't a cylindrical accordion type filter in the canister, the canister is almost just a jar of dirt and all the filtering happens in a spongy type filter underneath. This is AWESOME because it is SO easy to rinse and dry and use again without needing to spend 45 minutes over the sink with a toothpick trying to dig the crud out from between the accordion folds. I also love how easy it is to switch from an upright to a canister-type vacuum- it's just a little latch you pull and the handle comes out and off you go! It even has a couple difference latches so you can pick how much of the handle you want to use. The canister has a latch on both the top and the bottom, so when you are ready to empty it you don't have to dig in there to get the stuff stuck at the bottom, you just open that too. If I had ONE complaint (so far), it would be that the lightness of the thing makes it more difficult to use as a canister-vac. The rolling floor cleaner is detachable, but even so, whenever I tried to use the handle detached for crevice-cleaning, I took two steps away and knocked the canister over about 100x. You really gotta tote the little chamber around with you every step of the way. There also isn't a place for all of the attachments to clip on, but I don't often use those anyway. All in all, I think the toppling over is a MINOR flaw. If it were more weighted, I'd complain about that, so. This is better. I am incredibly satisfied with the product especially for the pric. We have 3 carpeted levels of our home two cats, a dog, and me (I shed like crazy) and yet-- 10/10, would buy again.

I had a Dyson. Wife got it in the separation. I was going to buy another Dyson until I read the reviews of this vacuum cleaner. I LIKE IT! It's worth the money and it has great suction. It cleans the carpet great. Two thumbs up.

I was looking for a lightweight vacuum that I could use on my carpeted stairwell as well as for regular use around the house. This fit my needs perfectly. The one and only downside I can say is that it has a very weird attachment assortment and not all of them can be stored on board. There is a very long nozzle attachment that I feel would have been better suited as an extender, since a smaller nozzle attachment is already included. I have a pet rabbit and it works great to pick up his shedding fur and messes around the cage.

We needed a lightweight upright for quick and easy jobs, but didn't want to spend a ton. This vacuum has met our expectations and is more powerful than we expected.

If you cannot get a Dyson, this rocks!

I cannot count the various vaccuum cleaners I have had- most wind-up at a garage sale for $10- even when I have paid up to $250 each. I think this one will last for quite awhile. Good power, the lack of a long wand attachment is my only complaint to date. I have had the machine for just about a month and I am anxious to see how often and at what cost replacement filters will be. No bag to change but a bit messy to empty and clean. The deep cleaning attachment was amazing on my rugs!

    LOVE IT

My friend bought two of these vacuums for her small house cleaning business and she let me try it, (she knows I love to vacuum)...I went out the next day and bought one for myself. I love how it goes from carpet to hard floor with the flip of a switch. I vacuumed my bedroom with my old vacuum and then re-vacuumed it with my new Shark and I was amazed at how much dirt/dust my old vacuum left behind. It "Lifts Away" very easily for doing the stairs and goes back together just as easily. It's so light I don't mind taking it out for the smallest of jobs. The only complaint I have is the cord, I am constantly running it over. I have to hold it in my hand with the handle as I vacuum.

This thing sucks!! LITERALLY!!! It sucks everything up so much better than my last vacuum. I have also used that "yellow" competitor, and this is an even better vacuum than that $500 machine...for 1/4 of the price. If you don't have one, get it!!

For the size and money, this is a great vacuum. I was amazed at how much suction it has. It picked up dog hair easily, and did an overall great job on my carpet. I only wish it were a bit wider.

Hose just to short. I couldn't put canister on floor to do couch, blinds, lamps and the just didn't like the handle or any attachments to get under cabinets. Took way to long for under cabinets. I got tire of holding the canister and cover very little area till it tipped over or i had to pick it up again . I don't even think the caddy would help on the bare floors. HOSE JUST TO SHORT. My elbow hurt so bad to where I had to stop Would of been nice to have a light & one more place for the other attachment w/brushes. Over all I like the vacuum(navigator) but am taking it back to get the Professional for $20 more

    Best Buy I've ever made

I purchased this vacuum after using both bag-less and bag vacuums. This Shark Navigator Lift-Away vacuum is thus far the best vacuum I've ever used. It's just like the Dyson but half the price, it does the exact same as the Dyson, except has the ability to lift away the canister for stairs, blinds, furniture, etc. makes this the best vacuum. The Shark Navigator Lift-away swivels, is completely sealed and has the ability to detach the canister which the Dyson doesn't do. Plus you get a five year warranty. Shop around for the best price. I've seen the shark any where from $159 - $200 on other websites. Would highly recommend.

I tried it in-store and was immediately sold. The suction power is great. It's light weight and when you turn it on it starts to move on its own. I love it.

Best vacuum I ever purchased. Vacuumed an area rug with my old Dirt Devil and then vacuumed with new shark. I was like I hadnt even vacuumed before. So much dirt and pet hair. I actually feelike I breathe easier now that I vacuum with the shark nav lif-away. Use it for my car too. Great suction, great price. Just like the infomercial. Very impressed.

My wife and I love this vacuum for the price as well as it's easy of use. The only downside is that there is not much space in the bucket so it fills up fast when vacuuming.

Since its great for pets (although I don't have one) then all the more that it could really clean up my place right? My boo is highly sensitive and he approved of it :) Cleans really well and it seals in the dust and allergens. Has that Love how its so easy to dispose of the collected dust/dirt. I would definitely recommend this product. I got it on sale for around $160 plus taxes.

this is the third model of this sweeper I have bought. I have one on every floor. I have bought other Sharks but I feel it works the best on many different types of carpet.
