Customers are saying

Customers regard the Navigator Lift-Away Bagless Upright Vacuum favorably due to its strong suction, lightweight design, and ease of use. Many appreciate its performance on carpets and the reasonable price point. However, some customers find the cord length to be insufficient and the dustbin capacity could be improved. A few also noted the vacuum's noise level.

    Tips easily

We wanted a lightweight vacuum so our kids could help vacuum their own rooms. Unfortunately, we ordered this from the internet without testing it in person. It tips very, very easily. I barely touched it, it tipped. I tried using the attachments, it tipped. I stopped vacuuming to put it away, it tipped over. Drove me insane, so I returned it. I tried several other lightweight vacuums at the store, and this was the only one that tipped with a finger weight touch. If tipping easily doesn't bother you, the vacuum isn't so bad. The suction was good. Emptying the canister was annoying, and bits of fluff was stuck in it and wouldn't come out. Not a problem we had with our previous vacuum, but I could live with that if it didn't tip so easily.

All that came from my rug?

Works great! I can't believe how much more it picks up than my Eureka did. I love not having to but bags anymore. When I vacuum almost no dust goes airborne...it all ends up inside. Feels a little cheap at times in your hands, but it's performance is awesome.

I bought this vacuum on the christmas sale at a good price. My wife had seen it on a reveiw on tv and wanted it because the old hover was about 15 yrs. old and not working to well. It seems to work real well, and my wife loves it. There is one draw back to it and that is it is top heavy. It does not set up right by is self very well. My wife had it up right and went to wind up the cord and fell over and the handle hit her in the face and broke her glasses. But other than that it good.

    Single Mom w/4 kids

I go through vacuums at least every 2 to 3 years. I have owned Dysons, Eureka, Bissels, and Pannasonic Vacuums. I am the type of person who vacuums her vacuums with a back-up vacuum and blows out the dust etc... Yes, I rather have a Dyson but being a single mom of 4 kids and a full time college student my budget can't allow me to spend a lot. They let me test this vacuum and it was great. So in the mean time this vacuum will do.

This vacuum is wonderful! I had to replace my other bag less -that stopped suction- and this one is wonderful! I'm soooo glad for this vacuum. I do have a touch of OCD and it satisfies my cleaning madness...lol

    Good vacuum for the price

I feel this is a good vacuum for the price. Good suction. I like that the motor is quieter than my old canister vacuum, however, the cord isn't nearly long enough. I had to plug & unplug numerous times compared to only once or twice with my old vacuum. It doesn't get under furniture & even using the attachment, with the way the handle & all is made it still bangs into the furniture. Given the choice I would go back to a canister vacuum. I just feel its much easier to switch attachments & I'm only holding the hose, not having to hold up the whole vacuum. If you're used to a canister vacuum, you'd probably want to stick with one. I wish I had shopped more & gotten another canister vacuum.

Best Vacuum I've had in a while

I am happy with the suction power of this vacuum. I was happy to find one that has the hose that disconnects to be used with tools. It is also good that it has zero maintenance cost. Overall, I am very happy with the vacuum.

I would suggest this vacuum to anyone who thinks that paying a higher price makes for a better vacuum cleaner. You get all the gadgets the others talk about along with the suction to boot. It is an all around good buy.

    Had to return it!

I'm coming from an 8 year Dyson owner, but the plastic finally gave and I had to buy a new vacuum. So I went w/ the Shark, w/ the advise of a sales rep. I used it once, and had to return it! I LOVED the suction and the self propel feeling of the vacuum. I have 2 German Shepherds, that shed all the time, so it picked up the dog hair great. I had to dump the canister a lot, b/c it's pretty small and had to unplug it a lot to find a closer plug. But the HEPA filter snap on cover on the front kept FLYING off and would hit the wall or furniture and the cord is WAY to short. I wasn't real happy w/ the neck/attachment to the vacuum stand (Not really sturdy#, but I guess that's why most vacuums have the lift away systems #My old Dyson didn't). So had to return it and now I'm using the Hoover Pro3.

Awesome Vacuum Cleaner for Pet Owners

I read the reviews and decided when I had to replace our vacuum cleaner for the 3rd time, we'd try a shark. I'm so glad we did. It picks up dust, dirt, pet hair and anything else you vacuum over. I've had expensive "pet" vacuum cleaners that didn't work this well. The only not so positive thing I can say, because it's lightweight, when you're using the tools, it can tip over - but with the power it has, I'm not complaining!

Reading the reviews I thought I was going to just love this vacuum cleaner. I dashed home today and vacuumed my new carpet (it's thick, 59 oz., but not particularly tall) and I could hardly push this vacuum cleaner even with adjusting it wide open, as far as it would go. When vacuuming my Oriental rugs, trying to get the dog hair up, it took several passes for it to get it all. It did great on the marble and cork flooring. If I exchange it for the self propelled then I give up the lift away feature which would be great for stairs or cleaning the car. I may go to the Hoover made for pet hair,,, but for sure I'm returning back breaking vacuum!!
