it picks up everything i need it to. it has a great design and its just like the Dyson but a lot cheaper

I have four small dogs who I did not think shaded much but after using they sweeper on our couch and see the amout of hair it got I was impressed.

Looking for a new vacuum and didn't want to spend $500. Nice quaility for the cost and have had no problems so far.

This is the best vacuum I have ever purchased. It absolutely, positively gets the dirt out of carpet.

This vacuum does have some good attachments and features to it. I liked how you could either turn the brush on or off when using it on hardwood flooring. I also liked how easy it was to empty the canister. But with that said this vac didn't even last me a year. The motor is overheating and it'll just shut down. please dont be fooled on it's features, because in the long run it's worth spending the extra 50-100 $ to get a name brand vacuum, not the "as seen on tv" quality.

Considered Dyson. Friends told me about the Shark. It was on sale, so I decided to give it a try. Glad I did!!

This Shark is very disappointing, not what I expected. I want the one they use on TV. Must go over several times to pick up one little piece of dirt. One time I bent over and picked up the dirt myself. Cord is very short, need to pulg into each room, pain, time consuming, frustrating. The extra tools keep falling off the vac. Tetail should be about $19.99, not $200.00.

The brush works well and this vacuum provides a lot of suction, more than the Bissel I've owned before. I would recommend this!

really deep cleans seriously...works great on carpet, hardwood or tile floors.

This Shark and some of its other models tips over at the slightest touch. Its so poorly balanced and falls over that its being returned without ever using it. Unless you don't care about having to pick up your vacuum from the floor other brands are recommended. This model is bulky and not as well designed as some other brands. Wish we could have tried it out in the store and saved time from having to return such a poorly engineered vacuum.

Like, but have reservations, especially the tipping over backwards and no headlight. Not sure how much dust is being blown on furniture with all the air coming out of the front.

After less than a year of light use (about once per week), the brush stopped spinning. Called customer service in April. It's now June and there is still no solid date of when the replacement brush will be delivered. Unless I would have called after 6 weeks and no results, we'd have just assumed that they forgot about us. We made a bad choice on the shark. It was a little cheaper than the competition and now we know why. The customer service is absolutely pathetic and unable to communicate or resolve out problem.

Worked for about 2 months... then stopped suction was gone. Maybe I got a bad one because I also hear it worked great. I did get another shark and that one is good so far.

Was great for about 3 months, then the latch on the right side failed. The washable filter is always full of dirt since then. The suction is not good since the latch failed. Good idea but poor quality.

I had my unit for about 5 weeks and decided to return it. The vacuum brush is WAY too aggressive on the carpet (hard to control and pulls itself along) and for bare floors the vacuum pressure is only on one side of the short nozzle. It wouldn't pick up cat litter even after several passes. Very disappointed. Thankfully I purchased with premier silver reward zone and had 45 days to return. Bought the DC41 to replace it, and so far very impressed.

Worked great when we first got it 4 months ago. Replacing it tonight because the suction quit working. Checked for clogs and there were none. It just flat died. Buying a Dyson.
