Good on hardwood, carpets beware

The extra suction is enough to turn the brush on shirt pile rugs, but is not able to handle the soft plush carpet in some of our bedrooms (we had to keep our old vacuum around just for those).

It cleaned the carpet so well and I used the floor feature to clean the tiled floor in my bathroom and it worked there as well. I was do impressed, I purchssed a second unit for my daughter...she too was pleased because she had been looking for a vacuum to sweep her laminate floors.

Great for dogs

We have low pile carpet and this works great. Also a dog visits us weekly in the office and this picks up after her. The attachment works great on the chairs to get dog hair off.

Amazing vacuum

Neither my Dyson nor my Hoover was able to pick up any of those fibers—they just moved them around. The Shark did the job in just one session. I had just about given up hope of ever getting the rug looking good, but now it is gorgeous!
