Customers are saying
Customers are pleased with the Navigator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum's powerful suction, ease of use, lightweight design, and carpet cleaning capabilities. Many appreciate its overall performance and value for the price, along with the convenient attachments. While some find the cord length shorter than expected and the noise level noticeable, the positive feedback on key features outweighs these minor drawbacks. The vacuum is considered a good value.

Great Vacuum Cleaner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the Shark Navigator Lift-Away vacuum cleaner. It has terrific suction and is easy to maneuver. It is self propelled so moving it takes very little effort. The head swivels to get around furniture easily and it seems lighter than a model I used in the past. I thought my carpets were clean until I vacuumed with the Shark Navigator and saw what it picked up. Because of the excellent suction, care must be taken when going over floor rugs. The hard floor/minimum suction settings have to be used so that the corners of the rug aren’t pulled into the machine. It sucked up a plastic bag before I could stop it, which blocked the suction. Finding and removing the bag was very easy. Each section of the vacuum snaps off and on easily so that I could locate the bag and remove it. The dust bin is simple to take off, empty and replace. This model has a special seal and a Hepa filter in the dust bin, which are supposed to trap 99.9% of dust and allergens. The Pod easily detaches from the bottom section, is lightweight, and can be carried along with the hose and attachments to clean furniture, curtains, stairs, etc. You do need to inspect this brush roll periodically and cut away any hair, thread, etc. that is wrapped around it. The brush also leaves brush tracks in the carpet, whereas the model with the self-cleaning brush roll (without bristles), leaves the carpet smooth. But the brush on the Navigator seems to do a better job of deep cleaning than the model without the bristles.

Powerful suction
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First impressions- light, cool retro look and usual vacuum attachments crevice, small brush roller and duster tools. Now for the good stuff this thing has strong suction and is great for people with pets. I love how it converts from an upright to a small handheld with the press of a lever. The hand held is very light when cleaning the stairs and the ceiling you dont have to worry about fatigue or the weight on your shoulders or back. The hepa filter is a must to prevent additional dust flying and keeps everything smelling fresh. Overall this vacuum is powerful, light and cleans very well on all surface types. Must buy for all homeowners.

10/10 recommend
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best vacuum cleaner I have used. My floors became so much cleaner and brighter after using it. Very light weight easy to carry around. Attachments are very nice. Only thing I would change is I wish it had a light for the dark places. I owned a Dyson and don’t feel that it competes with this vacuum.

Shark Strikes Again
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this Shark Navigator Lift-Away ADV LA300 Series to replace/supplement an older Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe NV360. Very similar in size and shape but more plastic on the newer model making it lighter. Comes with crevice tool, upholstery tool and dusting brush but only 2 storage posts to carry tools on board unlike other model that has 3 posts. No power roller brush with this model but it is listed in the optional attachments that can be purchased. Allergen sealed system with washable filters. Instructions say to rinse pre-motor filters once a month with cold water and HEPA filter once a year. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours but it always seems to take much longer for filters to fully dry. Three position switch: OFF, Hard Floor, Carpet. Brushroll will spin in both modes. Suction can be adjusted with slide control on handle. Brushroll light shows green when spinning and working, red when there is a problem. Brushroll activates when handle is tilted back in either mode after stepping on left side footprint. Pod lifts off brushroll base after pressing the red pedal on the left. Wand release button allows you to pull it up and detach from inside the pod. Handle release button detaches it from the wand to use 3 attachments on the handle. The wand can released and then be inserted into the handle to reach higher places or under a bed with the 3 attachments. The metal wand and stretchy hose actually reach my ceiling vent fans in both bathrooms and have enough suction to clean lint on the outside intake slots using the dusting brush. Lift away pod is lighter and easier to carry around. Upper cord hook flips up to wrap cord and flips down to release. Another cord holder on the side of the wand to hold cord in place while using. The only drawback is the redesigned Dust Cup. To lift off the dust cup, this model has a gray release button on top instead of two latching buckles on the bottom. Instead of a lid release button on each end and triangular square shape cup that helps you to dump the contents into a trashcan with little mess, the new square shape with rounded corners has a release button on the bottom lid that flips the lid open but new shape doesn't help send contents into trashcan. The lid no longer has a release button. It has a tab below the Shark logo that lifts to open the lid and dump collected debris from the Lint Screen. Shape doesn't direct it into the trashcan and dust tends to spill over so you have to vacuum up after emptying.

Good Enough
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok, it is good enough. Design is good, and I find the vacuum suction and power is more than adequate. I appreciate the light-weight, but that is a trade-off for overall quality. I will be surprised if we get more than 3 years, which for the price, maybe isn't that bad. Two comments on the power cord. - The clip that meant for the cord near the top of the handle isn't sufficient to hold the cord out of the way of the vacuum. - Would love for this to have a retractable cord!

Powerful and lightweight
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The marketing of the vacuum is clearly focused around the lift away aspect, which really is the highlight. For my review I decided to try it over hard wood floors and the carpeting in the upstairs portion of my house. The vacuum is lightweight. It's lightweight when attached to the base, but even lighter when it's detached. For the hard wood test I decided to simulate a potted plant being knocked over, and so I sprinkled some dry soil over the floor. I also decided to use dry rice. In both tests the vacuum picked up all of the soil and all of the rice. For the soil I had to make some extra passes to completely pick up some of the larger chunks. For the carpet test I decided to use some strands of dental floss and some dry freeze dried coffee grounds. (My concern going in with the dental floss was that it would wrap around and get stuck during the test, so I kept the length at around 6 inches) The vacuum picked up both the dental floss and the coffee without any issues. It didn't require any extra passes. For the final test; which I decided to use it in lift away, I wanted to see how it handled picking up a variety of different things. So I went to my SUV to see how well it drops all of the little bits of snacks that people have dropped over a course of 3 months. I saw everything from cereal to chips to french fries. The wand is fairly long so it was able to reach of the crevices that I would have difficulty picking up by hand. The most impressive feat was when it picked up cereal that were clumped together. Getting rid of the contents that fill up in the bag less area is as simple as removing from its housing and placing it squarely over a trash bag and pressing the release button. I wanted this review to focus on the power level of the vacuum in both its fully assembled state and the lift away, and I can say that I was impressed on both fronts. Shark has in my mind always been a very good manufacturer of vacuums and this continues to the trend.

Light and Powerful
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark Navigator Lift-Away ADV Upright Vacuum is a top notch vacuum. It's lightweight and powerful, easily maneuverable. The suction on it, it will pull all your dirt and dust out of your carpets. Caveat, don't leave loose cords and cables around :) The motor and brush head is so strong that it makes this vacuum feel like it's self propelled. Which in turn makes the vacuum very light to use and maneuverable. The Shark Navigator Lift-Away ADV Upright Vacuum makes quick work of your vacuuming chore. Only complaint is that it comes with 3 attachments, but only two place for attachments that I can see. Never the less, as with any Shark products, it does what it was created to do very well. Even better than other high end expensive brands.

Good function excellent use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lightweight powerful. Liftaway is nice for cleaning car or stairs (bottom roller portion separates and become powerful handheld or floor based unit with wand). Three attachments, easy to turn.

Shark Navigator is a cleaning beast!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum is a beast of a cleaner! It got stuff out of carpet that had been vacuumed by my old Oreck upright before it broke for good. The HEPA really works, and it is easy to empty the dirt canister. When you rinse out the foam filter, squeeze it in a towel, and finishing drying it with a hair dryer on COOL setting. You’ll get a power boost with a clean filter.

Don’t waste your money

Powerful vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I’ve used this vacuum several times around the house and have used the included attachments. One thing I’ll say is this is a powerful vacuum. The dust/dirt reservoir was much more full than usual. They vacuum is really easy to put together as well. It only took me 5 minutes. What i like is you can detach the handle and use it for your couches and you can detach the whole upright tube to use on your ceiling’s or high places. It is very versatile. Plus the way it turns makes it very manueverable. What i didn’t like was the vacuum head only has two settings(carpet or hardwood) and the vacuum had was rather small. For the price is expected a bigger head for the vacuum. But still with that aside I’d still recommend this vacuum.

Great vacuum!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this vacuum recently for a great price when it was on sale. I am happy with how it’s working. I had a Shark vacuum previously and it needed to be replaced. It worked well so I wanted to get another Shark Navigator again. This vacuum has good suction power and very easy to empty and clean. Long power cord is very helpful. We do not have pets so not sure how this would be if there was a lot of pet hair to clean.

Convenience, but at a price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Lift-Away feature is excellent, but unless you really need the extended range and reach that the detachable canister, the streamlined feature set on this vacuum may push you to look elsewhere. Suction is strong and consistent, whether the vac is operated in its normal, upright mode or with canister detached. It's reasonably well-engineered, too, with a rotary pivot that makes angling the head around tight corners really painless. The collecting canister is (thankfully) large, and easy to empty and clean. The vac is also reasonably quiet, provided you don't make the mistake of leaving the "carpet" power setting active over hardwood floors. The real draw, of course, is the Lift-Away feature, which enables you to basically detach the canister and nozzle and treat yourself to a handheld mobile vac. It's a nice feature, especially if you need to vacuum a cobweb from a high corner. If you have high ceilings, or the standard toollset on an average canister vacuum isn't up to snuff, you might want to look into this item. That said, there are some disappointments, especially with the comparatively high sticker price. The toolset that comes with the vac is spartan, if we're being nice. Each attachment is rigid plastic, and no attachments come with suction-powered rotary brushes. The attachments are a bit on the short side, as well. More disappointing is the fact that there are only two power of floor settings. Suction seemed to be more than adequaate for both, but the vac is missing the more granular height adjustments you might need if you have carpets of differing depths. The head is a bit on the small side, but the pivot mechanism that enables easy movement and rotation kind of compensates for this. One area of concern relates to the vacuum's big draw - the hose doesn't seem easily removable fro mthe the detachable canister, so cleaning (which is an inevitability for any vacuum) may prove to be an issue down the line. Most vacs have fully detachable hoses, expecting that they'll become occluded at some part over their lifetime. This model has a handle attached to the top end of the hose, which will make a messy snaking of your blocked vacuum hose even more challenging than a normal job is. If you really need reach and coverage, and aren't too insistent on more fine-tuned speed settings or use-specific attachments, this vacuum is for you. Suction is great, the LIft-AWay featuer is really impressive and useful, and the vaccum is well-built and thoughtfully engineered. If what you need is more customizability, you might need to look elsewhere.
