I put two stars because I feel that it does not pick up the dirt from a bare floor like it should.

Bought this for my son who is new to apartment living. It is perfect for what he needs.

Good suction on carpet, I like that the hose can be used at the same time as the roller although the hose is a little awkward to use.

I really love my Shark. It has plenty of power and it is easy to use. Picks up all the dirt and pet hair with no problem.

I love it! We just moved into a new place and vacuumed the whole house with our old vacuum, which hasn't been working too well, so we decided to buy a new one. I read a lot of good reviews on this one and after checking the display model out for awhile, decided to give it a try, especially since it was on sale at Best Buy. Well, like others said, it only takes one bolt to put it together, and before we knew it, every floor had been cleaned. I was surprised at how much filth it pulled out of our carpets, especially since they are all very low and have been vacuumed quite a bit recently. It also works well on bare floors and it's nice that you can flip the switch to the bare floor setting to turn off the brush. Overall, I must say that I am very pleased with this purchase. The vacuum is pretty lightweight and easy to maneuver, as well as being quiet as far as vacuums go. The 30' cord allows you to cover quite a large area before plugging it in a different outlet. It's really nice that you never have to buy new filters for it, just clean them out every so often. For this small of a vacuum, I'm surprised that it really digs down and pulls up dirt and debris that many other vacuums miss. And for the price compared to other quality vacuums, you can't go wrong here...plus a 7 year warranty! :)
