I tried to “upgrade” from my trusty 10-year-old Shark vacuum, and honestly, I should’ve just sent my old one a thank-you card and kept it forever. This new model feels more like a children’s toy than an actual vacuum. There’s this little button you’re supposed to HOLD DOWN for “extra suction power.” First of all, why am I manually power-boosting a vacuum like it’s a video-game controller from 1998? Second, even with the magic button pressed, the suction is still weaker than my decade-old Shark that’s basically held together by nostalgia and duct tape. And I’m sorry… you expect me to keep my finger glued to that button for 30+ minutes? Absolutely not. I need that finger for literally anything else. Hard pass. My old vacuum is laughing at this thing.

We have waited a few months before reviewing just to test and its a fantastic vacuum.

I’ve now had it a little over a year and although I really like not having a cord, it doesn’t seem to be sucking stuff up as good anymore. It’s emptied and charged after each use and I give it a thorough cleaning (including the hair wrapped bristles) once a month. My older corded one seems to work better than this one does now.
