It literally picks up my carpet. I did some research before buying and everything shark claims is true. it does indeed have the strongest motor of any vacuum.

I was extremely excited to test it. Fresh out of the box, it seemed fine, easy to put together, good accessories. The second I placed it on my rug and turned it on, the detect feature basically made it unusable. The feature sucks up the rock and the light immediately turns red- indicating that there is a blockage. I decided to call their customer support and the agent tried to be helpful with the description I gave him. He said the head piece might be defective and it would take 4 weeks to get a new one. I decided to take it back to Best Buy that night. Luckily, the employee was super helpful and allowed me to exchange it. I bring it home, put it together and place it on the rug. Immediately the light goes red again. It is now incredibly clear that this vacuum was not meant to be used on rugs and they probably didn’t test it on rug when they were developing it. If you have a hardwood floor, this is fine but if you have any rugs at home, forego this entirely and get a different vacuum with less sensors. This is a waste of money and returning immediately.

I can't use this on a large (8' x 10') area rug that is soft, and not heavy or stiff. The hose is too stiff so, using the wand to reach something like corners at ceiling level or the vent in the bathroom is very difficult. The attachments are constantly falling off. If you use the lift away feature to be able to vacuum under a bed or something like that, you have to hold the dustcup the entire time because it falls over easily. The best thing I can say about it is that it is purple and the dustcup is easy to empty. It was not cheap, but I'm secretly hoping it will break soon so I can justify buying something else.

Vacuum not stable when using attachments.
