The hard floor mode works really well. Sucks up way more dust, lint, and hair than the old one. Even pulls up piles of hair in the first swath instead of dragging it around first. Only flaw is the small-ish size of the collector.

Died in 3 months, shark says "normal wear and tear

It has nice suction and nice accessories, the lift away was quite handy. 3 months later the motor head died. I called shark and they offered me a new one for $90 + tax and shipping. When I asked why it wasn't covered under warranty they said it's "normal wear and tear". Absolutely insane, we used it lightly for 3 months on hardwood floors and main motor failure is normal? Returned it and bought a Dyson, which at least has strong warranty support.

Shark Rotator Lift Away

So now I have 2, keep the new one upstairs and the old one down. They both do a great job and have great features!

Wonderful Vacuum

It has picked up all the husky hair up off of the floor and on the couch. I really love how long the wand is so I can clean in the back of the dog crate. Great vacuum if you have dogs. The only thing I would change is the power cord, I wish it was a little longer.

Good for a hairy mess

But let me tell you that if you have a significant other like mine where she leaves hair all over the house, you need to get this! You will no longer need to clean the brush, the bottom piece isn't as smooth to rotate around the house as the prior version but this is still a good value!
