I bought an Electrolux earlier this year from Best Buy, and after a few months (and an initial good review I gave it), it totally lost suction and wouldn't pick up anything out of the carpet. I exchanged it for the same model, thinking I had a lemon, but the 2nd one developed the same problems within a month. I returned it as well and got this Shark. This Shark is amazing. I have never seen a vacuum get so much dirt up. It was particularly noticeable at first, less so now that I've been using it for a while. But it is way stronger than any vacuum I have ever had. The attachments take some getting used to, but once you get the hang of what button to push to release the handle vs. the wand, etc., they function well, and it's quick to switch from floors to furniture, and back again. I don't mind vacuuming, but if I'm going to do it, I want the effort to make the room really clean. This vacuum definitely does that.

I have had a Dyson for several years and I wish I had the Shark from the beginning. I could not believe how clean my carpets were after using the Shark. I cannot compare the Dyson at all with this vacuum. The vacuum is not loud at all and the attachments work great!

Saw this on a infomercial, thought it was overhyped. Old vacuum broke and we needed a new one urgently. Chose this over Dyson due to price and am impressed. Could tell immediately how much cleaner the carpet looked compared to our old dirtsucker.

I spent more than I've ever spent on a vacuum cleaner before, but it's well worth it. I bought the "pet hair" vacuum because I have very long hair. It works great. I love that it has a really long electrical cord. I also like the 3 separate cleaners. Specifically that I can clean under furniture I couldn't get under before.

Have had this for about a month now. Works well - picks up dirt from carpet or bare floors equally well. The ability to have a canister vacuum was a deciding factor in our purchase as we need an upright for floors and something that doesn't tip easily when cleaning windows high up in an A-frame home. The lift-away section does pretty well on carpeted stairs. It is quieter than all other uprights we have had but it is still a vacuum so it makes noise. It just doesn't freak out the cats like the regular vacuums. The dust/dirt collector is very easy to empty. Would buy this again or recommend to anyone.

I bought this vacuum because it was one of two bagless vacs (both Sharks) that was approved for the maintenance of my new carpet so that the warranty requirements were met. I’ve had three Dyson vacs prior to this, and really liked them. I was very surprised that I like this Shark Rotator Pro better than any of them. It’s simple, the lift away and wand release are super easy to use, and the dust bin is emptied without having to reach into it to remove dog fur that gets stuck (are you listening, Dyson?). Love it!!! The only improvements I would recommend are a longer cord, and having the cord exit the machine higher up so you don’t run over it as easily. Other than that, it’s pretty much perfect. Suction is incredible. Had to adjust it to lowest setting so I could push it across my new carpet. Great machine! Highly recommend it. And less than half what I paid for my last Dyson.

This is a great purchase. Easy to use and works on carpet, tile, or hardwood. I would highly recommend to others.

This vacuum is amazing! We had just vacuumed our floor with our old machine when our Shark arrived. I immediately used it and the amount of dust, dirt and hair that it picked up was incredible. I highly recommend it. It can't be beat and the Best Buy price was very good.

Love all the different attachments ! Easy to operate and the swivel is a plus at getting into corners easily.

What I love about my Shark vacuum cleaner is that I clean all the floors in my house in a short time. It comes with so many attachments that I can transform it into whatever I need it for, whether it be for the kitchen, the living room, or hallway stairs. With a click of a button, I can switch the out pieces for the ones I need to get the job done. And you can definitely see the difference, especially with all the dust it picks up! It's easy to clean and simple.

The Shark is easy to use, has great suction, and is very easy to go from carpet cleaning to hardwood flooring.

It’s a vacuum. It works well. What I really like is how easily it emptied. The attachments to be able to reach high into the ceiling or low into areas you can’t reach with your the man vacuum head. And it’s not very noisy either. Truly exceptional items for the cost.

It does what it says. I'm very happy with this vacuum. Better than pay top dollar for a Dyson. Highly recommended

I wanted a lighter weight vacuum to use along with my heavy Miele and I haven't used my older vacuum since buying this one.It has excellent suction..plenty of attachments to clean walls.curtains .couch etc, Easy to clean the canister and I love not having to change a bag!

This vacuum has many nice features and works very well. But for the price I paid, has a few issues. I do not like the attachments besides the crevice tool. The others especially the ones for carpet do not hold up to what i expected considering the cost of the vacuum. The life away feature is nice and the wand that releases is wonderful. For some reason the cord seems to be a pain to me. The stuff it picks up is good as every day when i vacuum, it gets more dirt, dust and hair. I do have to extract hair from the rollers a few times a week.

We love it! Lightweight, easy to use outside and clean inside of our vehicles as well! Money well spent!

We've had this vacuum for 2 years and just encountered our first problem. This has been perfect for our family (6 kids and 2 dogs) and has cleaned up well in every circumstance, from kids crumbs everywhere to dog hair. The attachments make it nice too--helpful for getting into corners, under furniture and cleaning stairs. The base removes and re-attaches easily as well turning it from upright to canister. So, our problem. All was well until the power roller brush quit working. I took apart the base to clean it, make sure all was connected, and the belt was in tact. No issues, just not working. Called customer service and talked to someone from the US--big plus for me and very helpful. And within 10 minutes of walking through the problem (which they have to do, but felt like the IT guy at the office asking if I "restarted" yet), and collecting info they came through. New base in the mail, return label emailed. All I have to do is send the base off and wait for the new one. Very pleased with a company that backs their warranty and makes it easy to use at the same time. Would highly recommend!

I loved my Dyson animal and after a few years, it went to vacuum heaven with the rest of them. I bought this one, as a medium priced vacuum. Right off I love the vacuum with all the attachments, I'm rather easy to please. The best part of the vacuum is the detachable portion to walk up the stairs with.
